"Our new student is arriving today, class." The teacher said. This year, Darla was only in the same class as Robyn, Tanya, and Chrissy, but she didn't mind.
"I heard a lot of things about her..." Chrissy said.
"Spreading rumors isn't very nice, Chrissy." Tanya said. Chrissy rolled her eyes. A few minutes later the new girl came in. She had tan skin, golden blonde hair, bright blue eyes, a black tank top, black shorts, and black sandals.
"Sorry I'm late." The girl said quietly.
"That's fine, Margot. Take a seat." The teacher replied. Margot took a seat in the back.
"Poor Margot. Maybe she needs help!" Darla wondered.
At recess Margot was under the playset, watching everyone else play. Darla, Robyn, Bubbles, and Tanya went to see her.
"Margot, are you okay?" Robyn asked.
"Yes, I'm fine." Margot replied, not looking at them, but she knew they were there. Margot walked away from them and lay down on the grass. They followed her.
"What are you doing, getting a tan?" Darla giggled. "Or sunburn?"
"I don't care if I get tanned or sunburned. I just want to feel the sun on my skin. I love the sun." Margot said. The girls decided to lay beside Margot and talk to her. They always loved making new friends.
