A/N: I know, I keep doing this. Saying I'm not going to redo a season that was perfect the way it was. I've done the half-seasons, every single one. This, I will admit, can take place in the same universe but took place before Danni, the "Textbook Cheerleader", or Julie the "Sweet Sneak". No. Chris needed someone to stir up the dynamics of Total Drama World Tour to avoid the pitfalls Total Drama Action was skirting that made it less interesting than Island. Sierra and Alejandro helped, but there were three teams in World Tour. Enter my new OC. I guess you'd call her the "Giggler-in-Waiting". Uh, that'll make sense eventually.

A/N: While Jemma Tan loves reality shows, she hasn't seen all that much of Total Drama. But one commercial calling for a new season of Total Drama in the summer and one extra spot for a season this winter, and Jemma's on her way to a musical trip around the world. There'll be losers. There'll be winners. And she hopes that she'll be the latter.

NOTE: Like my previous fic, this is a game of "fix-the-season". While a few eliminations, particularly early ones, will be the same, I will be changing up some dynamics.

I finished filling out the audition sheet about four days before the closing date, on January 21st. True, the producers were cutting it close. The next season was due to start in the middle of February, and at the age of sixteen (although I knew I looked younger), I was ready. Well, as long as I grew a few inches, did something to make my face less round and figured out how to leave my reading glasses behind without getting reminded to bring them (look, why would I need to read on a reality show?).

That is, ready in case I got to be on February's season. There was, however, very little chance. If I did get in, I'd probably have to wait until next summer for it.

Okay, back up, let me explain. Total Drama had been going on for the last year – two seasons in the same year! Yeah, I know. It was a reality show that allowed teenagers my age. I hadn't watched it properly, just bits and pieces, but I really liked reality shows, and from what I saw, this one looked like fun. So I didn't ask for permission from my parents when I saw a commercial asking for fourteen new teens to apply before February. Thirteen would come back to the island the first season was filmed at about a week after the end of the school year in June, while the fourteenth would be put onto Total Drama World Tour that was starting soon (the player could be male or female, the commercial stated it didn't matter, although they'd need at least six guys and six girls for the next season, as well as one more).

I had very low hopes when I got a letter back. It came, well, sort of fast. Like, on the 30th of January. What else could come that fast but a rejection letter?

Imagine my feelings when I actually read it:

Dear Jemma Tan,

Congratulations! You have been selected to compete on Total Drama World Tour, set to start on 12th February and conclude on 9th April. Please note that no communication devices are allowed, but you may bring anything else you may need during the flights. You are required to bring ONE outfit only as there will be automatic cameras stationed around the plane and a camera crew at all locations, and it is required to wear the same clothes during that time. Similarly, if you wish to tie your hair back, please keep it in that style for the duration of the show when you are not sleeping. You may also bring one swimsuit and one set of sleepwear.

PLEASE NOTE: This season does require you to sing in every episode, so please be aware that you may be called on at any time you are on camera.

After that, there was a whole set of instructions about when I'd be picked up by the bus that would take me to the airfield we'd take off at, rules about the game, other things I could or couldn't bring, and a note about how they would prefer I kept swearing minimal as they didn't want to bleep out too much, and it was rated PG.

Of course, I had to tell my parents. Well, 'had to', meant rushing down the stairs screaming "Mom, Dad! I'm in! I got onto Total Drama for the next season – with the ORIGINAL cast! They must've thought I'd be able to fit in!"

My parents were...less than thrilled. If it had just been spring break, it would have been okay, but I was going to miss almost two months of school. I'd be back just after spring break, so I wouldn't miss too much, but I still had to promise to catch up on everything I'd missed.

As for school? My friends were really excited. They were asking tonnes of questions, although not all of them knew Total Drama that well. Some of them did, though.

"Do you know who'll be on this season?" my friend Kara asked, her eyes round and expectant.

"Not yet." I told her, grinning. "I don't even remember their names."
Kara shrugged. "You'll have to learn. Anyway, if Duncan's on there, PLEASE get me an autograph, Jem. You'll know him – he's the one with the green mohawk."

I giggled and sang from a song I knew vaguely "So why do good girls like bad guys, I've had this question for a really long time!" I paused. "Is he that kind of guy?"

"Sort of." Kara said slowly. "He's all right. Just promise you'll get him to sign something."

I laughed. "I'll see. There might not be time. You've seen what it's like – every five minutes, there's another challenge. I'm not sure what the host is like most of the time, but-"

"Oh, I totally get it." Kara cut me off. "Chris is a total psychopath sometimes. His first thought when the contestants were about to drown were the ratings. And he'll always ask if there are any questions, and if any of the contestants make it clear the answer is yes, he completely ignores them."

I gave a sigh. "Okay. Thanks for telling me. Anything else I should know before I go?"

"Chef Hatchet will probably serve the food." Kara said in a voice that warned me I wasn't going to like what I heard. "It's disgusting. It's not that he can't cook good food – they just won't spend money on what the contestants get. Usual airline food will never seem as disgusting again. Oh, and there's a few contestants who will tell lies and try to get you eliminated or allied with them. Since you don't know who's who, I can't really explain who they are, but...well, long story short, watch yourself."

"Sure!" I said, smiling. "Easy enough."

I chose my outfit carefully for the show. I didn't know where we'd be going, so I decided to favour comfort over beauty and pulled out a pair of short denim overalls and paired it with a blue and white striped shirt. Finally, I added sandals with black and cream criss-cross straps, so they'd stay on my feet. Flat ones, that is, easy to run in. I even had to decide on a hairstyle. I usually kept it in a plain braid, and I didn't see any reason why I shouldn't keep it out of my face on a show like this, but...

I tried sweeping the braid over my left shoulder. Yes, that worked! It was long enough to sort of coil around my neck and then go down. If it got annoying, I could always push it back. A little bit of makeup, and...

I checked my mirror. "Jemma Tan, this is your time!" I sang out. "And I'm gonna be on primetime!"

I quickly added my swimsuit (a rainbow bikini to prove my support of the LBGTQ+ community) and my sleepwear (blue and white striped shorts – I usually just wore my bra with it).

In case you couldn't tell, I was majorly excited to get this show on the road. And to get my game on! I mean, seriously. A free trip around the world with a bunch of others my age? What did I have to lose?

Not much, but now you've met Jemma. Now, I asked a lot of questions when I posted "Total Mutated Revenge Of The Island", so here's your questions this time:

How far do you think Jemma will get?

Which team do you think Jemma will be on?

Who do you think Jemma will be friends with?

Will Jemma be in a relationship, and if so, who with?

Who do you expect to be in the Final 2?

I'm hoping to throw a few curveballs, and some elimination episodes are switched around, but I'd love to hear your thoughts!
