Hiya, folks! I considered doing the 'scenes' of Optimus and Elita's developing relationship in after the main story in I Think of You was finished but my sister thought this would be a better idea XD
It would be a little better if you read I Think of You first, as this has added content not seen in the other. Don't want confusion! :O
With that outta the way, let's begin!
Scene One: Introduction
Ariel worked by the river.
Her job was to unload Energon cubes to be distributed amongst Iacon's populace and also for powering the Hall of Records. Some might've considered it boring but not Ariel – she was fond of being outdoors, jumping in the river every now and then and doing acrobatics while she worked (cartwheels were her favorite).
Docking crews were usually a spirited bunch but no bot was as energetic as Ariel. She couldn't IMAGINE being shut up in the Hall like other members of her caste were. This included her co-worker and good friend, a bluish and yellow mech named Dion, on a part-time basis. He wasn't nearly as bothered by it, because he had a friend there by the name of Orion Pax.
She had never met him before - their docking duties conflicted - but from what Dion had told her and other bots she'd overheard, the red and blue mech was a little shy and somewhat meek. But the more you talked to Orion the more you'd like him.
"Hey, Ariel, here I am!" Dion's voice called to her. She turned, looking for her schedule on her holodisk.
"Good, you're here. Have you-"
"Been informed of a schedule change? At the very last moment, as always!" Dion replied with a optic roll and turned around, "Hurry UP, Orion, or I'll make you read exercise articles!"
"Aw, shut up Dion, you know how stiff I am when I get absorbed in reading!" came the joking reply.
Ariel looked up from the holodisk at the mention of Orion's name and stared...and so did the other bot now in front of her. She became vaguely aware of her surroundings as she stared at him and he stared at her. "Ariel?"
She almost started. "Y-yes?"
"I said, this is Orion Pax - that guy who works with me in the Hall!"
"Oh, r-right..." Ariel (a little shakily) took Orion's hand and shook it.
"Nice to meet you. I've been told about you..." Orion greeted sheepishly.
"I better head up river. O.P., you watch over this girl - she can be rambunctious!" Dion laughed, slapping Orion on the back before running off.
After an awkward pause, Orion said "Well, I guess we better get started too, huh?"
"Mm-hm!" Ariel replied, externally normal. Internally she was freaking out, wondering if Orion's hands were always that...warm?
Oh, scrap, why didn't anyone TELL ME this guy was so cute!?
*giggle* It looks like Ariel and Orion seem to have fallen for each other at first sight! XD :D
As viewers of the original 1980s cartoon know, the pre-Optimus Prime and Elita-One worked at a river dock in Iacon instead of in the Hall of Records. I thought it'd be nice to have O.P. and Dion's jobs be combined (in a way).
