Another story that was inspired by a song called Dancing in a Daydream (I would prefer you guys to listen to the nightcore version by Underdogs). This is also my first Noblesse story, and I hope I pleased some people (namely Admiral T Devanto and Master Shorty), who are major writers of the Noblesse community and are eagerly waiting for the Noblesse Anime too come out.

A little heads up for you guys, this story was also heavily influenced by Detective Conan, my main reading addiction as of right now. So M21 is not called M21, but Ronan Borris. Ronan because my sister said Ronan was the first name that popped to her head for M21s possible name, and Borris because it means wolf in some language I forgot.

Anyway, please follow, fave and review when you are done reading. Reviews mean a lot to me people as we authors love it when people express their opinions for our stories with their comments. It would mean a lot to me!

I do not own Noblesse, it belongs to Son Jeho and Lee Kwansgu (pretty sure I spelled Lee's last name wrong, but oh well).

The police station was quiet and dark, yet one lone desk still had it's lights on. To anyone who was new to the police station they would of found it weird that someone was up this late, but regular officers and detectives knew it was a normal night for Detective Ronan of the criminal investigation first division. Despite the fact that it was almost one in the morning, he was wide awake thanks to the coffee and nicotine running through his systems.

Sharp eyes scanned over photos, documents and files regarding a case that he was currently working on. Trying to find any clues he couldn't find earlier today thanks to his so called friend (and the cause of his current stress) Sergeant Tao. Tao just never knew when to shut up, and would always be talking whenever Ronan was trying to do paperwork or read some files. He honestly wondered how he was still alive considering the amount of times he ticked off suspects with his annoying words and pestering. Then again, he was probably still alive thanks to Police Assistant Inspector Takao, who took care of suspects that got out of line.

The shenanigans the two managed to get him into made him have to work later than he normally did to catch up on work. He now had to work till two right now when a new bunch of rookie cops came in named Shinwoo, Ikhan, Seira, Regis, Rael, Suyi and Yuna. The boys were usually the ones who caused trouble whenever he was assigned with them, which caused him to retake up smoking as a stress reliever after a few mishaps. It didn't help that he, Tao and Takao were supposed to teach them the ropes of being a cop.

Well, if there was one positive thing he could say about the group was how efficient they were at gathering clues and cracking cases. Shinwoo knew everyone and was a good conversationalist, Ikhan was a whiz with computers. Seira, Regis and Rael knew people from high up as they are from rich families and have good connections. Suyi could easily charm a person into revealing everything and had a way with words.

And Yuna, despite her kind personality, had a sharp intellect and good observational skills that helped her connect clues together to make a clearer picture of a case. However the one thing she lacked was communication, as she mostly told her deductions quietly to her superiors. Though Tao did point out one day that the coffee she made was incredibly delicious, which Ronan secretly agreed with Tao for once.

Ronan grabbed the mug which was his ninth cup of coffee and took a sip, immediately wrinkling his nose when he noticed that it had grown cold. He got up from his desk and walked over to the coffee machine with mug in hand, his other hand reaching into his pants pocket to grab a cigarette pack.

"Oh, Detective Borris!" A voice exclaimed, causing him to turn and see a surprised Officer Yuna looking at him. "What are you doing here this late?"

"I should be the one asking you Officer Seo," Ronan stated calmly, Yuna flushing at his comment. "What are you doing here?"

"I uh, wasn't tired. I told my superiors that I was going to stay here to catch up on some work that I left unattended. I didn't know you were going to be here." The woman quickly explained, shuffling her feet together awkwardly as she fiddled with her thumbs.

"I see, and did you finish your work?" He asked, taking a cigarette out of the box with his teeth and lit it. He inhaled the nicotine from the as smoke floated up in the air into a spiral.

"Oh yes! I was just getting a cup of coffee to drink and that's when I noticed you." Yuna glanced over at Ronan's desk, noticing the pile of papers adorning the wood table. "You busy?"

"Unfortunately. I'm trying to catch up on a case I've been assigned to and thought to look over the files to see if I can find any new leads." Taking out cigarette and tilting his head slightly up, he exhaled a cloud of smoke which quickly disappeared into the air. "I haven't been able to get to it all day and was only able to get to it tonight."

"If you want, I can help you. Read the case, I mean." Yuna offered as the coffee machine let out a shrill noise signaling it was done brewing.

He raised a silver eyebrow at her suggestion. "You sure? It's a difficult case that no one has solved so far." He told her, taking the coffee pot and offering to pour her a cup.

Yuna thanked him before answering. "Why not? I have some free time and I told Suyi I was going to come home late." She said with a shrug. "Besides, a case beats writing a report about a guy that rode his motorcycle without his helmet and tried to resist arrest."

Ronan couldn't help but chuckle at her comment as the two walked over to his desk; and for the next couple of hours, he found that he actually enjoyed her company a lot. She pointed out details which she believed stood out and her reasons behind them, broke down air-tight alibis with suggestions on how they could of done the crime. The two talked about theories and possibilities for a long time that he didn't notice he fell asleep until he felt someone shake his shoulder, which turned out to be none other than Tao, who jokingly asked if he spent all night in the office.

A look to his left showed that Yuna also fell asleep, notepad and pencil in hand with what they've discussed written in neat calligraphy. After she was woken up, the two left to go to their respected apartments for a quick change of clothes before going back to their respected jobs.

That didn't stop the two though from meeting up every now and then to talk about cases and crimes and the possible motives behind them. Their gatherings would mostly take place at a café, bar or even Ronan's desk. Nevertheless, they meet each other late at night; where the two could have their discussions under the dark night sky which smiled of coffee grounds, and cigarette smoke.

I love the M21 and Yuna pairing so much, I wish there were more stories involving these two (that and some more RaixEdian stories as well. My #1 ship in Noblesse).
