I do not own BNHA, obviously, rights belong solely to its rightful creator.

Kai is gonna be kinda Oc in this book, but at the same time i'm gonna try to preserve as much of his personality and character as I can.

The name Ophelia means help or helper.

She also has a black cat named Kuro - Kuro is lazy, but protective, he can also shapeshift and talk, so with special permission she's allowed to bring him into U.A.

Soulmate AU - where you have matching tattoos, most of the world is fine living without meeting their soulmates. Their tattoo is the symbol the Shie Hassaikai, with pansies flowers all over it, because in the story, Hamlet, Ophelia gave this flower to Hamlet. (Hamlet is by Shakespear, if you did not know.)

It all began in China in Quingqing City. There was news that a baby that gave off light was born. Ever since then, superpowers were discovered in various places, and time passed without the cause being identified.

Before we knew it, the supernatural became normal, and dreams became reality. The world has now become a superhero society, and about 80% of the world's population now has some kind of special trait.

In this world swirling with chaos, the profession that everyone once dreamed about and admired came into the limelight.

That profession is…

Superheros

Ophelia sighed as she watched the new hero Mt. Lady knock the villain out. "What's wrong?" Izuku asked his younger fraternal twin.

"I just don't get it. Mt. Lady should have just let Kamui Woods handle the villain. But noooo, she just had to make a flashy entrance and on top of that she caused more collateral damage than the wood hero would have. That disgusting woman didn't even do that to help, she did to just get attention from the media! Where was she when we needed someone to help fix the bridge that collapsed 5 days ago? Don't answer Zuku, it was a rhetorical question." I spoke quickt, cutting my brother off, "But that isn't even the worst of it, I mean have you seen her costume? There are little children present!" Little did I know, my little rant had just caught my future mate's intention.

Because on the other side of the street, a certain yakuza boss couldn't help but stare at the bright emerald eyed girl.

"Boss, the car is ready." Chronostasis spoke from his place in the shadows.

Overhaul nodded, not looking away from the girl. "She's interesting." Kai gestured for a expendable to come forward, "find out all you can about that green haired girl. I want a folder on my desk by the end of the day. And if you miss anything..." The man nodded, understanding the threat.

Ophelia sighed once again.

Why? Why? she thought. Why does our teacher get paid? He isn't teaching us anything. She droned out their sensei as he continued to talk about how everyone was applying for some kind of hero course. Though she admitted, he was telling the truth. Both her and her brother are also applying for the hero course, and the general studies, as a backup.

She was snapped out of her daydreaming by her once childhood friend, Bakugo, blowing up her brother's desk. She stood up and ran over to her brother, once she confirmed that he was ok, she stood up to face the spiky haired boy. "Hey stop that!"

"Oh and why should I!" He shouted back. "Your quirkless brother should just learn to stay in his place." Ophelia gritted her teeth at that.

"Wait Kachan!" Izuku pleaded. Waving his arms in front of him frantically, from his place on the floor. "It's not like I'm trying to compete with you or anything! Believe me!"

Ophelia hated how her brothers shoulders dropped, honestly, her brother needs to learn that even without a quirk, that if he just works hard, he can make it to U.A., sure it may be harder, or he might have to wait till the sports festival to finally get into the hero courses. But he can do it. There will be multiple chances, he just needs to learn to be confident and take them.

"The incident this morning is all over the headlines." The green haired boy said to his little sister.

Ophelia laughed from her place on his desk, where she was sitting criss-cross applesauce. "Yeah, I bet you can't wait to get home and write it in your books. Honestly, Aniki, how many of those have you even filled up." She teased with good humour. "Anyway, you'll need to go home on your own."

"Hu, why?"

"Because mom wanted me to pick up some things on my way back from school."

"You sure you'll be fine on your own."

"Of Course. You worry too much." Ophelia said as she walked out of the classroom.

Ophelia mentally whined as she picked up the four grocery bags, holding two in each arm. "Dam it, if I knew they were gonna be this heavy, I would have brought Zuku along." She mumbled to herself. A habit that both siblings have clearly inherited from their mother. But unlike those to, what she said, you could mostly hear, barley any of them being slurred or bumping into each other. Unlike her brother, she's also more confident in herself and her abilities, and she probably believes in him more than he believes in himself.

Ophelia was cut off from her thoughts, when she heard a voice begging. "I-im s-so-ory. P-pl-lead p-put m-me d-dow-n"

Ophelia didn't think twice, before she knew it, she was sprinting toward the voice she had heard begging for help.

What she saw when she skidded into the alley, disgusted her. Three grown men, where ganging up on a little white haired girl.

She had long flowing white hair that reached a little above her hips, along with a tiny horn poking out of the left side of her forehead. I couldn't tell her eye colour because they were shut so tight out of fear, that there were wrinkles around her eyes. She was wearing a cute pink dress with matching shoes, which looked to be quite expensive, indicating that she was from a well off family. Was this a kidnapping? For ransom? The little girl's left wrist was wrapped in bandages.

"Hey you!" She yelled, dropping her bags at the entrance of the alleyway. "What do you think you're doing to that little girl!"

The three men turned to look at her, but the one holding the little girl didn't let go of her. The tallest one, maybe the leader, stepped forward. "O, and what are you going to do about it? Hu, little girl. There's nothing you can do, so why don't you just run along now"

Damn, he's right. There really isn't anything I can do about it.

Why didn't I just stay back?

I should have just called the cops, or yelled for a hero, there's like one on every block.

I know I have a weak quirk.

Then Why?

Why?

WHY?

I took a deep breath, and before even I knew what I was doing, I ran forward and kicked the guy in the chest, knocking him backwards.

" . Only. Say. This. Once. More." I growled, looking the man straight in the eyes. But someone else already spoke the words I was about to say, plus a few I more I would say in the future, but not currently.

"Let my daughter go." A firm baritone voice spoke chillingly, and dripping with killing intent.

The men's faces shifted into fear. "S-shit! Didn't you s-say that he-he'd b-e in a meeti-ng c-currently." The fatest of the three men stuttered out.

"H-e's supposed to be." Another spoke.

But the third, well that coward was already running.

Apparently the young boss was feeling benevolence today, because he didn't try to stop the other man from running away. Seeing their leader run, and get away, the other two didn't hesitate to follow his lead.

Ophelia completely ignored the man and rushed to kneel beside the little girl. "Are you ok?" The little girl shook her head.

"Where are you hurt, Eri?" A man asked, coming to kneel on the other side of the girl. He was easily by far, the most handsome man Ophelia has ever laid eyes on. He had deep brown hair, it was on the shorter side, somehow managing to look well groomed, but messy at the same time. He also had bright amber eyes, she couldn't see the bottom half of his face because it was covered by a black cotton medical mask. She couldn't help but feel a nagging feeling that she knew this man.

Eri gestured to her right ankle. "Your ankle?" Kai asked "It also looks like you have bruises and small cuts all over your body as well.".

"I-it hu-rts."

Ophelia hesitated, but then turned to Eri's father. "I could heal it."

The man raised an eyebrow at that. He opened his mouth to ask, but Ophelia cut him off. "I have a healing quirk."

The yakuza thought about it. Did he really want a quirk used on his daughter? Normally he would kill anyone who even suggested using a quirk that wasn't his on his daughter, but for some unknown reason he couldn't even bear the thought of hurting the kind girl who had come in defence of his daughter. He also knew he could easily just go home and overhaul all of Eri's cuts and bruises away, but once again for an unknown reason he felt himself nodding.

Ophelia nodded at Eri reassuringly, then activated her quirk. A light green glow evolved Ophelia hands.

Both the man and little girl were entranced as they watched all of Eri's previous cuts and bruises heal, her ankle falling back into place, all happening quickly and painlessly.

After about 20 seconds, Ophelia smiled at Eri. "All done."

The ruby eyed girl returned the smile, just as brightly. It was a sweet moment, till the green eyed girls stomach growled.

Kai smiled at that. "So your quirk is a metabolism based one." he stated more than asked. Ophelia nodded meekly, already feeling the backlash of using her quirk. "Then how about dinner?"

"What?"

"How about dinner, for helping my daughter?" Kai asked.

Ophelia thought about it. The man seemed nice enough. And she wanted to ask about why Eri was getting kidnapped, and get to know the little girl too. She nodded weary "Sure. But not dinner." She smiled at Eri, "How about ice cream instead. I know this great ice cream place just a block away from here. Also even before that, I never did get your name."

"My names Kai, Chisaki Kai. Ok, I don't mind ice cream" Eri smiled brightly at that, until "On two conditions, the first is, I pay, and the second is, that Eri gets only one scoop."

"Awwww, so close" Eri whined, snapping her small little fingers, cutly.

Ophelia smiled as she watched Eri excitingly run into the surprisingly empty ice cream shop. The 6 year old ran straight up to the glass. The cashier seemed to be the only one there today. "Hi, Yui, how's it been?" Ophelia asked.

The blond haired women just smiled back, nervously a little? "Slow, I just don't get it. It's summer. It's hot, so why's the shop empty?"

Something seemed wrong with her. Was she ok? "Are you ok?"

Yui seemed to be even more shaky now. "Oh yes, it's nothing. So what would you like to order?"

"Oh I'll have usually." Ophelia turned around to Kai. "What would you like?"

"I'll have a Curly Top Cone."

"And I'll have an Oreo Blizzard." Eri said, triumphantly.

Kai just smiled back "She'll have the small Oreo Blizzard. Nice try princess, but you once again failed to find a loophole." Eri cutely pouted at that. She then proceeded to march over to a both. Kai smiled at his daughter.

"Does she do that a lot?"

"Practically everyday."

Ophelia laughed at that. But then she remembered the real reason she agreed to come here. "Why were those men after Eri?" She asked, leaning against the glass.

Kai sighed, realising he'd have to lie. "I'm a businessman, and they wanted me to agree to sell them something."

"So they decided to use Eri to get to you?" Kai nodded.

"I also have a question for you?"

"Fire away"

"Why did you save my daughter?" Kai asked as he picked up their orders and carried them to the table Eri was sitting at.

"Because I couldn't just ignore a cry for help, and that's what a hero would have done."

"You wanna become a hero?" Eri asked.

"No Sweety" Ophelia said, smiling sweetly. "I want to become a REAL hero"

"What's the difference?" Kai asked "Their all the same to me"

Ophelia shook her head at that, taking a bite out of her own sweet treat. "A real hero doesn't become a hero just for the fame or money, or just to make themselves feel good. A REAL hero. Becomes a hero to help people. To save lives. To protect people. That's why a REAL hero becomes a hero."

Kai couldn't believe it. Most people these days only pursued the hero career for either fame or fortune. But here was a woman in front of him who wanted to be a hero, for no other reason than to help the people around her.

Eri suddenly stopped eating her treat. "I know, lets play 20 questions!"

Kai laughed at that, "Where did that come from."

Eri gave him a duh look, "My head, where else would it come from."

Ophelia laughed at Kai's fake, 'Now don't you get sassy with me' look, but before the man could say those exact words, this time she cut him off, "Sure, i'd like that, that seems like a fun idea."

"Have a good trip?" Chrono asked

"Yes. Good work in getting the shop cleared?" The expendable Kai had told to get information about Ophelia from, came forward.

"Here you go Boss"

Kai opened the folder to look at the contents. "Pathetic. I found out more about her in five minutes than you have in 10 hours." Before the man knew what was happening Kai had overhauled the man, turning him into nothing more than a splatter of blood on his walls.

"Somebody, clean that up." He ordered. "Also, bring me Eri's babysitter." Well Kai was doing this, his sweet flower was putting away her groceries, well being teased by his future mother-in-law.

"Was he cute?" Yes.

"How tall was he?" A good head taller than me.

"Howoldishe? Whenareyougonnabegettingmarried? Whatareyougonnanameyourchildren?"

"MOM!"
