The story of Buruuba, other than the Weissmuller inspired and loosely source-based live action film - a Japanese-American coproduction from 1955 - which is beloved by some old school mock-buster fans, is pretty little known outside of Japan but, thanks to a sly reinterpretation of the whole original meta-story, will be available to the Anglophone Public for the first time.

Buruuba was born on August 1888, somewhere in Illinois, the United States to a middle class family. His birth parents were the late Miki (an Amerindian) and Ace Jackson, both of whom were avid explorers of the savannah. Having missed his USA homeland so much, he reluctantly left his birthplace as a small toddler along with his parents, but the mishaps are yet to come.

When they arrived in what's now coastal Tanzania for the first time, the climate was tropical! To them, much of the tropics have only two seasons, wet and dry.
