Author's note (PLEASE READ!): So this is my first fanfiction, like ever! I hope that someone who is just getting in X-Men: Evolution (Like me) reads this and gets more into this universe. This fic is gonna take place a few months after Apocalypse and I have it that the Acolytes joined the X-Men. If I get anything wrong, please let me know! And in case you haven't noticed, this is gonna include A LOT of ROMY! It will also include LoganxOroro, KittyxPiotr and ScottxJean (Sorry I don't know their ship names!). No pressure to review but they would be greatly appreciated. I plan on updating this story as soon as I write the next chapter.

Chapter 1
It happened so fast, he barely had time to think. One minute, they were fighting some obscure
mutant who wanted to wreak havoc on Bayville and the next, the building came down on Rogue. Remy watched helplessly as his chère was crushed. He dropped to his knees as silent tears began to pour down his face, like tiny waterfalls. He could barely hear Kitty's screams of grief into Piotr's chest. He could barely hear Logan's yelling as Ororo and Scott held him back. "LET ME IN THERE! I CAN SAVE HER!" Logan screamed. "I can save her..." Logan continued quietly as he fell into Ororo's embrace. If Rogue had been standing next to Remy, alive and well, Remy would have made a remark at this. But the love of his life was dead. " Non, s'il te plaît ne prends pas mon amour." (French: No, please don't take my love.) Remy said, barely above a whisper. No one heard him and he heard no one. He felt cold, numb and empty. " Logan, listen to me," Ororo soothed in her most comforting voice. She was attempting to be brave for the team's sake. They needed someone to be strong."You can't help her, she's gone. Rogue is gone." Ororo felt a lump in her throat, but pushed it done and continued."She died saving someone's life. And she wouldn't want you to put your life at risk for her. Believe me, I wish I could help her but I can't, none of us can." At this point, everyone was turned to Ororo and Logan except Remy, who remained in the position he'd dropped to minutes earlier. A moment of silence hushed the X-men. The only sound to be heard was Kitty and Kurt sobbs. Then, it was Scott who spoke up. "We should try and find her body." Everyone slowly nodded and began to walk towards the ruble. Everyone except Remy. He stayed glued to that spot, tears still trickling down his face. "Ma chère, ma chère, Rogue." Remy repeated sadly, the pain evident in his voice. All the while, no one noticed two figures retreating into the distance, carrying another, familiar figure.
