"Magenta!" A yell that could only come from a raging mother boomed through the guildhall causing the old timers to stop their constant flow of booze and storytelling to flinch. The children who were playing in back yard of the guild stopped their game of tag to give the voice their short attention span for a moment. Finally the teens of the guild eyes drifted to the group that lounged at their usual table who snickered at the girl.
"Guess it happened" the platinum blond haired girl smirked crossing her arms in satisfaction.
"You really shouldn't be so laid back. Your mother sounds kinda" the carmel headed girl paused for dramatic effect. "Deadly.. The word she's looking for is deadly" the dark blue haired teen smirked gaining a green glare from the girl across from him. "I was going to say that!" She hissed glaring daggers.
"Cool it before you turn him to stone" the oldest of the group sighed, ruffling up his dark green hair.
"But he stole my thunder!" The idea of turning the blue headed boy to stone was appealing but her mother turning her to stone for using power against her family wasn't so much.
"You were just too slow" the blue headed boy chuckled. "I delivered the line better than you anyway," he added, crossing his arms.
"Magenta, the demon. She's coming!" Toby was rushing up the stairs over to his other regular spot other than the bar.
"See that's how you deliver a line!" The dark green haired teen smirked jutting his thumb in the brunette's direction. "Oh shut it Levi I don't need acting advice from you of all people!" Flicking her caramel hair she smiled wickedly as it slapped him in the face. "Guess we know who ratted you out, huh Magenta" the dark blue haired boy smirked resting his arm on himself proclaimed leader's shoulder.
"She said if I told her my tab would be cleared" of course she did, Toby would do anything if the prize was right.
"Dumbass you could have dug and struck gold but you bended with a simple tab clear could of at least ran it up" Magenta despite being betrayed narrowed her eyes at the boy. "Damn your right!" Toby groaned, sinking into his regular seat next to Levi.
"Really that's what you're worried about? He ratted you out and you're upset he didn't do it for a higher price!"
"I mean I think I'm worth a cleared tab and at least 200 jewel" Toby groaned again, head slightly banging against the table with each bang he whined about how he should have asked for that. "Yeah that was kinda stupid, dumb ass. I'm sure Mira would have negotiated" despite patting his back Levis' words did nothing to reassure him nor did the smirk on his face.
"Magenta you heard me call you didnt you?" She was finally here, just the demon the blond had been waiting for. "Yeah I heard my ears are pretty sharp you know" there was no fear in her voice as she talked to her mother then again she wasn't looking at her either. Following his leaders fearlessness the blue haired boy added "I'm pretty sure the whole town heard it aunt Mira" but he did turn around while he was saying it and the look on the women's face was terrifying or in a word they used earlier deadly.
"Since your ears are so sharp, surely you know why I'm here? Right." The white haired women held a sweet voice that dropped venom like honey.
"I mean there's plenty of reason why you're up here but I think it might have to do with the latest fashion craze everyone is having nowadays." She turned finally looking at the woman behind her who stood with her arms crossed and a glare on her face. "I mean green isn't my color or anything but summer trends you know" she was caught she knew that Toby had ratted her out and was sitting there at the table so they both knew what she had done.
"I asked you to clean the pool because we're going to open it to the public cause the heat was so bad" Mirajane stood there starting off her explanation to her daughter pinching the bridge of her nose and a growl in her voice. "What i didn't say was enchant the pool so that anyone who steps foot into it turns green and their hair stands" there was a look that crossed her daughters face a look of surprise and wonder. "No way there hair stands up?" the girl was up and at the railing of the second floor looking down at the angry mod demanding there skin and hair be fixed.
"Look at that, it stands straight up and it looks like seaweed. Oh that's just great," the girl was beyond fearless, her facade forgotten as she giggled at the mob in all their green anger.
"Magenta!" The forgotten fuming mother called out to her daughter as the four forgotten at the table slowly stood ready to get the hell out of there. "Do you have any idea how bad this is?" She scolded hands on her hips. "Oh come on it was just a prank" she was smiling she couldn't help it one look at the green mob and she felt giggly. "And do you have any idea how to reverse this prank of yours?" The four who were slowly edging for the stairs paused out of fear, their eyes casting to the blond.
"Well I wasn't the one who found it!" They stiffened when they should have been booking it, abandoning ship and leaving the caption to sink with it. "I see" it didn't take long for the women to put two and two together as her eyes casted over to the group behind them. They were tripping over themselves now running for the stairs a demon could deal with a demon they were not that! They were mages who just wanted to live dammit! But now they were blocked, freedom and a long life fading away cause there in the stairway stood was the red headed (well green headed at the moment) knight of the guild and she looked livid.
"So you found the culprits?" Erza asked, arms crossing over her armored clad chest.
She was green from head to town, her hair stuck up and looked mossy. "I went to soak my feet and then the moment i remove them im green" she explained in that voice she uses that is controlled but also terrifying. "So which one of you casted the spell?" The women asked, looking between each of the five teens, everyone else cleared out the moment the words 'the demon is coming' was said those that stuck around were smart enough to leave when she did come.
"It was Toby."
"It was Levi."
"It was Braxton."
"It was Eva."
After officially ratting each other out they all turned and gave a knowing look before speaking in unison. "But it was Magenta's idea."
"And how do tell was one simple spell all of your faults" Erza asked they had told on each other sure but it was one spell.
"If I may" Eva started clearing her throat. "Braxton found the spell Magenta said it would be fun to use it. Toby and Levi worked to modify it and I simply got dragged along" she nodded while her (sometime) teammates glowered at her. "If I may," Braxton started mimicking his cousin. "I found the spell Magenta wanted to prank people with it. Toby and Levi worked to tweak it a bit and Eva made sure it worked on a larger scale than just a glass of water" he nodded and though he was honest he did rat on himself.
"What do you mean you modified it?" Mira asked.
"Well it's supposed to make someone super sick but no worries we took that part out it just makes people green now" Toby smiled innocently as he rocked back and forth on his heels.
"So you changed a spell that was supposed to make someone sick into a spell that only makes people green?" Erza asked, narrowing her eyes. "Well no not exactly" Toby trailed off looking towards his partner in crime for assistance.
"It already made people green just by touching it it made them sick by drinking it and well we just took the sick part out and kept the green part" Levi explained using hand gestures to drive home his explanation. "And how would you reverse this modified spell?" Mira asked, smiling and cocking her head to the side.
"Can you reverse it seeing as it is modified?" Erza brought up gaining an 'i didnt think of that' look from the five. "Because if you were to take something out of the spell then it would be a different spell that would need a different way to reverse it" she explained and a look of hope dawned on Evas face. "The spell supposed to work its way out as the toxins in your body get expelled!" She offered feeling pride that she read a bit about the spell.
"Work its way out?"
"Y-yes it was used for people who got poisoned and quickly needed to get it out of there system." She exclaimed taking a step forward hoping this would set her free, at least, she was willing to sacrifice the others.
"And that would be the sick part of the spell correct?"
"Yes that would be it!" She nodded eagerly. "The part you took out correct?" Then her expression dropped and she nestled herself between Levi and Toby suddenly not feeling too confident.
"So then do any of you have another idea for reversing this?" Mira asked, coming to step next to Erza, dragging her daughter to stand next to her team. "Maybe it will dry up?" Braxton attempted, seeing as they were sinking with the caption might as well try helping out.
"No I don't think that will work seeing as I only put my feet in the water and my whole body's green!"
"Mira there raging down there. They demand they be turned back to normal!" Braxton flinched if it wasn't bad enough already his mom had to come join the frey. What's next the guild powerhouses.
"I say we have them apologise and then clean the pool properly this time!" Mira suggested crossing her arm. "Braxton, don't tell me you're a part of this?" The white haired woman asked hands on her hips. "Apparently he's the one who found this little spell" Mira threw him right under the bus. "That stings aunty that stings" he pouted though it could have been worse could have been his father or worse Magenta's father. At this point he was wondering how the hell he thought this was a good idea and how did any of them think it was a good idea. That's it he was done with pranks!
"Uh Mira there's some people getting really sick" Kinana informed them and they froze completely.
"Well, would you look at that they would get it out of there system after all" Eva's voice was shaky as she squeezed herself further into her teammates. "So you didn't subtract the sickness" Erza started crossing her arms. "You just delayed it" Mira ended though Mira almost always ended. She ended battles, she ended arguments, she ended any fun Magenta wanted to have for the last 15 years.
"They're getting really sick and a lot of them are filling up the bathrooms," Kinana told them in a concerned voice. "Quick go get Wendy if she's around, have her take a look at them when they're done" Erza hesitated at the last part and Lisanna picked up. "Ya know, spilling their guts." She ended up giving her son a heavy stare and suddenly he was burying himself into his team along with his cousin.
"I hope you're proud of yourself, young lady. What was supposed to be a kind gesture has turned into a catastrophe!" Mira huffed crossing her arms.
"What was supposed to be a funny prank has turned into a catastrophe" the girl retorted under her breath.
"Your father will be back tonight and he will have a chat with all of you!" The blond even froze at that one she could feel the sudden burning holes of her teammates as they glowered at her. "It wasn't that big of a deal really it was just supposed to be a harmless prank" she was worried (not scared she would never admit that).
"Look around Magenta there green and sick and you think this is harmless!"
"It works its way out, it's not like it's deadly or anything it's like a stomach bug" she was stressing now her father would light her ass up without even having to touch her thats just how lightning worked! "Your going to go down there apologize for your actions then your going to clean the pool like you were supposed to in the first place" while she was hearing a long night ahead of her the traitors (teammates) behind her gave there quick apologies and 'good lucks' as none of them heard there name in any of the punishment and were prepared to jump over the railing to get out of the situation. The three women let them too; they stood back and watched as the four escapees jumped over the railing on a quick ride or die situation only to meet by their own demise.
"My hair is green Eva" the girl in question cringed and wished to be skyrocketed back up to the second story where it was so much safer. Her mother loomed in the crowd, right in the front and as a woman who loved her own reflection green hair did not suit her. "Good luck with that" Levi snickered he was determined he was gonna get to the front door if he had to cage everyone up.
"Think this is funny, little munchkin" None other than his own father stood there his skin very much green and his hair laughably standing at it ends. "Heh" was the only audible noise that came from the teen as his hands ran through his own hair.
"You're in trouble," the wooden dolls danced around Braxtons head as they taunted him; the other two just laughed.
The only one who didn't see their parent was Toby who was apparently feeling like hot shit as he smirked at his usual companions not only did he get a clear tab today but he also was going to get off scot free. His mom he knew had been at the bar the whole day and his father was nowhere in town so he did what any sane person who came prepared with an escape plan would do he executed it. Running to one of the beams that held up the second floor his hand searched for the card that he placed there before going to tell his team about his betrayal. One touch of the card and he'd be transported to a far more safer location but the card wasn't there instead he found someone he hadn't seen in a month. His father leaned against the beam a wicked look on his green face.
"W-what are you doing here?" He asked taking a step back. "Cana told me about the open pool and well I just couldn't resist." His eyes searched the beam for the card, his sweet escape and it was gone and he was screwed.
"So I heard you did this boy?" As his father talked he wondered why the hell he did not rig the whole place with teleportation cards.
"I was a part of it, yeah" he answered casually as he reached into his pocket he'd just make a new card. The one outside of town was still active. He just had to connect the two.
"Got a lotta nerve admitting that kid" and he wouldn't have, not in a million years if he hadn't had an escape plan that is. He started to draw over a card an invisible magic circle he knew by heart. "You should know that womens waiting for you" he paused as the look told him that he wasn't bluffing his mother would do that and she was crazy enough. "Right" and he backed away now joining the other four as their parents tore into them.
"Well that didn't go as planned!" Magenta sighed as she wiped down the side of the now drained pool. "I can't believe we have to clean the bathrooms too" Eva cried thoroughly disgusted. There was so much throwing up today then she had seen in her entire 14 years of life. "Take that as a reminder that you shouldn't go around pulling horrible pranks" Evergreen told her daughter as Elfmen ranted about how unmanly pranks were.
"Keep working" the wooden balls sang in unison as they blasted Braxton with their green lasers everyone in a while. "I know that!" The blue haired boy snapped before throwing his scrub brush at Pippi gaining a yell of objection from his mother. "Don't treat them like they're just baby's!"
"You tell him Lizzy" Bixslow laughed gleefully, his tongue falling out of his mouth. "Babys babies" the dolls sang to the 14 year old as they worked together to throw the scrub brush back at him.
"Ma how long do we have to do this?" Levi asked his mother, it was better than asking his father.
"Tell it spotless or until the Master gets home" Levy told her son she wasn't to happy about what he did but she was less ruthless then his father.
"It's no use man where screwed" Toby said glumly his whole plan fell apart and now his parents were sitting there watching him drinking their beer keg and laughing.
"Says the one who tried to ditch!" Magenta growled.
"We were all trying to leave," Toby pointed out.
Mira had gone inside just moments ago so she wasn't watching her daughter which in all honesty Magenta was thankful for until the electric surge forced the lights to flicker and the sound of her father's voice echoed. "Those brats did what?"
"Now you're screwed" the words came from each parent watching over them as Bocchus and Cana laughed.
