Annabeth
As she sat on the shore, working on plans for new temples at Camp Half-Blood, Annabeth watched her boyfriend, Percy, mess around in the water.
He had tried to convince her to come in, but she'd declined, in favor of getting a bit of work done. She laughed as he seemed extremely confused by whatever the creatures in the water were saying to him-though, they were probably arguing with him about calling him lord.
Percy looked up her and smiled. "Are you sure you don't want to come in, Wisegirl?" he asked.
Annabeth nodded. "I need to work on these temples first. Maybe later though."
Percy walked up to his girlfriend and sat beside her. "Any way I can help?" he asked.
"Maybe. I'm designing a temple for Nemesis. Any ideas? Or is it all seaweed up there?" she teased as she tapped his head.
"Of course it's not all seaweed!" he insisted. "There's some kelp in there too."
Annabeth laughed at her boyfriend's antics. He always knew what to say when she was stressed, even if she didn't know she was stressed.
That was just another thing Annabeth Chase loved about Percy Jackson.
"So, does Paul have all of the paperwork set up for us to finish our senior year?" she asked.
"Yep! We might have had to lie about a few things though. Technically, you're not allowed to live with us, so you have a great uncle who lives with us too. But he doesn't get out much."
Annabeth laughed. "A great uncle, huh? You know, you are technically my cousin. We could just put you as my relative," she suggested, playfully.
Percy, however, looked like he was gonna be sick. "I thought we agreed to not think about that?"
She laughed again, but also apologized for making fun of their weird family. "But you have to admit, it's funny."
He threw himself back on to the sand and groaned. "I know. But it hurts my head to think about it." He turned and smiled at her.
He opened his mouth and was about to say something, when Piper came up and interrupted.
"Hey, you guys? Chiron needs to see you in the Big House. Sounded urgent so I'd hurry," she smiled sadly, as if she knew they wouldn't like whatever Chiron had to say. "And if you see them, he also needs Nico and Thalia, but I think Jason might've found them."
Percy and Annabeth thanked her and headed towards the Big House, expecting the worse news and hoping for the best.
"Ah! Just the two we were waiting on. I trust that Piper was the one to find you?" Chiron asked as Percy and Annabeth entered the meeting room and joined Thalia and Nico around the large ping pong table.
"Yeah she found us. We should have hidden better," Percy said, always with the attitude.
Annabeth rolled her eyes. That's why so many people don't like him, and even more want to kill him. He had no filter.
Chiron looked slightly uncomfortable, as if expecting worse to leave the son of Poseidon's mouth after he finished explaining. "Yes about that. I'm very sorry, but another quest has, indeed, been issued."
The reaction was instantaneous.
All four demigods groaned in unison, though Nico's groans were some very creative Latin curse words that left Chiron looking as if someone had stepped on his tail.
"Yes, yes. I know that none of you are looking for another quest, but you four were specifically asked for."
Annabeth decided to be the bigger demigod and get on with the quest, no matter how much she didn't want to go. "What's the prophecy this time?" she asked, obviously irritated.
Chiron began to look nervous. "There is no prophecy this time, Annabeth. You four were requested by a goddess. And a powerful one at that."
"Ugh!" Percy groaned. "Another goddess messing with my life! I swear Hestia is the only one who hasn't made my life harder!"
A large boom of thunder rolled across the camp. Percy didn't seemed phased. He kept glaring at the ceiling as if it had run over his dog.
"Oh come on, Kelp Head. Just let Chiron finish explaining the quest so we can get on with it," Thalia complained at her cousin. "I want to get over with as quick as possible."
Chiron had, now, adopted a look of embarrassment. "I am very sorry, Thalia, but this not a quest that can be rushed. You four will be traveling to a school in Scotland to decide if those of Hecate's pet race are compatible allies."
"School?!" All four demigods demanded at once.
A large amount of yelling ensued, including Thalia complaining about school, Nico complaining about leaving Will, his son of Apollo boyfriend, behind, Percy complaining about another quest in general, and Annabeth complaining about her and Percy's plans.
Suddenly, a loud voice called out and silenced them. "Stop!" the voice from the corner yelled.
Automatically, all four demigods had a weapon trained on the spot the voice came from, Thalia with her bow, Annabeth with her new dagger, and Nico and Percy wielding their swords.
In the corner, a beautiful woman, with a dark complexion and a polecat sitting on her shoulder, was standing. Her black hair was in long braids that ended at her waist and her eyes were an obsidian color. She wore a long, midnight blue cloak over what looked like a very glittery evening gown.
She spoke again and, this time, Annabeth could hear that she had a smooth voice that was oddly pleasing. "I am the one who requested you four. I only want the greatest powers for this quest. I chose you four, because I trust you to be diplomatic."
"Not that I want them to go instead, but wouldn't Piper or Jason be the better choice than me? I just ticked off almost every other goddess like five minutes ago?" Percy asked confused.
Annabeth could see his point, but the goddess, who was obviously Hecate, began shaking her head before Percy had even finished speaking.
"Aphrodite's daughter carries magic in her words, something this race is familiar with, and the son of Jupiter is not as experienced with other ideologies. You four, however, have experience with a long and difficult war that will make them sympathetic towards your woes, or murder you for your talents," the goddess of crossroads explained.
"Or? So there's still a chance they'll murder us?" Thalia questioned, with one eyebrow raised.
Hecate nodded and began to speak again, but Nico cut her off.
"Nope. Not happening. I refuse," the son of Hades protested. "Will is going to murder me if I leave. Either I stay here, or he's coming with."
Hecate did not seem to be in the mood to argue. But instead of telling Nico that he had to go anyway, she snapped her fingers and Will Solace, the son of Apollo, appeared in the room, with a hotdog in his hand.
Looking around, Will appeared very confused. "Uh, Chiron, Nico. Why am I in here and not at lunch, like I was five seconds ago?" he asked.
Nico was about to answer when he was cutoff.
"I'm missing lunch?!" Percy yelled, offended. "Nico can explain to him later! Hurry up and tell us so we can go eat!"
Chiron looked like he was expecting Hecate to turn Percy into an animal, but instead she complied and finished giving the quest.
"In a week's time, I will return to take you to a pub in England. There you will stay for a week, buy your supplies, and observe the wizarding world. On September 1st, you will all arrive at King's Cross station and find platform 9 3/4 and board the Hogwarts Express. I will give you all the knowledge you need and the skills required for the quest when I return. Do you understand?"
The demigods nodded. Though Annabeth did have one question.
"You did say wizarding, right? As in broomsticks and wands?"
Hecate nodded and, before anymore questions could be asked, turned and disappeared into the wall.
"Can I go eat lunch now?" Percy asked. Everyone else in the room groaned.
'Wow,' Annabeth thought. 'Wizards. Then again, there is already Norse, Roman, Egyptian, and Greek gods. What's next? Aztec and Mayan gods? Or Whatever the Russians believe in, I guess.'

Sorry abt the description of Hecate. I couldn't remember how it was in the book and that's how I picture her.
