Sol's Destiny

Hello! This is my first fanfic so please don't judge. This is an AU where all the events in 'SkyClan and the Stranger' happened a moon earlier and Sol was good because I always feel that he was mistreated, poor guy. Anyway, happy reading!

Warriors Belongs To Erin Hunter. Done.

I gazed out the window absorbed in my train of thought. So, if this means… wait no than that would be- a light clinking sound made me break focus. The yummy smell of tuna wafted up to my nose and I jumped down from the ledge with a happy purr. My housefolk must be feeling good today if she had decided to give me sweet delicious TUNA! Winding my slim body around her legs I felt her lean down and pat my back.

Gulping down the food in a few bites, I yawned and padded round the room. Suddenly a yowl came from outside. "Nettle'Splash! Bird'Paw ALL OF YOU! I can't believe what I'm seeing!" I ran to the door and peered out. There on the path up to the entry stood four cats.

There was a small black she-cat with green eyes, a brown and white pregnant she-cat (I think it was her who yelled). There also was a cat who I had heard being addressed as Nettle'Splash. He had a brown coat and green eyes. Standing behind him there was a dark grey she-cat who seemed to be upset by the brown and white she-cat's harsh words.

I picked up what she was saying a few seconds later…

"…not even daylight warriors! And the woods are full of prey. Newleaf has been kind to us. Why do you want to be fed by a twoleg as if you can't hunt for yourselves?"

Daylight warriors? Newleaf? Twoleg? What did it all mean? I thought, confused, as the cats exchanged a few more words before running off.

A few days later I saw my housefolk leave. Curling up on the couch I yawned and began to groom my paws. About midday I heard her come back in. I jumped off the couch and sniffed at the slightly familiar scent that enmeshed the basket that she had placed on the ground.

My housefolk said something to me but I only understood a few words. Cat, Home and Nice.

Then I remembered where I had smelled the scent before. It was on that she-cat who was yelling at the other ones!

She stepped out of the basket, her swollen belly clipping the edge. She gazed around with a look of disgust, fear and confusion on her face. Trying to be polite I padded up to her and meowed, "Hello, who are you?" She glanced in my direction and said "I'm Leaf'Star. And you're…?"

"I'm Sol. So, Leaf'Star, what are you doing here?" I asked.

"YOUR twoleg stole me from my Clan!" She growled flexing her claws, clearly annoyed.

"When you and your friends were outside the other day, I heard you yell something like that. Does that mean housefolk?"

"Yea, I think so." Leaf'Star replied as she drew in her claws and scanned the room. She padded around pausing for a little while at the window and letting out a sigh.

The door to the living space creaked open making her jump with a small hiss. I let out a small chuckle at her fright. "Don't laugh! You might be used to it but I'm not!" Leaf'Star snapped. My housefolk bared her teeth in what I knew as a friendly greeting and placed down four bowls. Two of water and two of food. I tucked in eagerly with a "mrrow" of thanks.

Leaf'Star sniffed cautiously at the food but didn't eat it. I looked at her and motioning with my head pointed to the bowl. With a sigh and a sour look, she ate a few small bites. Her face scrunched up at the unfamiliar taste.

The housefolk sat down on the couch and turned on the bright-box. "She'll probably stay there 'till moon high." I commented. As the night droned on, I saw Leaf'Star casting frequent, longing glances at the window.

"What is it?" I said looking at it too to see if I had missed anything.

"Oh nothing, just wondering how my Clan's faring without me."

"Clan?"

"It's a cat group. We're SkyClan."

At that word my heart stopped. It was true! It did exist! SkyClan, it was real!

Thank's for reading. I'll try to be frequent in my updates .

Goodbye!
