"Finally. After this year, elementary is over!" Lulu cheered on the bus. Malachi smiled and nodded nervously.

"Aren't you gonna miss the teachers?" Darla asked.

"Of course! But I just can't wait for middle school." Lulu replied.

At the school Darla was in classes with Tanya, Lulu, Monty, and Robyn. Darla found her assigned seat and sat next to a girl with black pigtails, a red dress and bow with black polka dots, white socks, and black Mary-Jane shoes.

"Hi! I'm Darla." Darla smiled.

"I'm Dot." The girl said. Not that surprising...Darla thought.

"Hey Dot! Who's that?" A big girl with a green dress and short blonde hair asked.

"I'm Darla." Darla answered.

"I'm Lotta!" The girl shook Darla's hands, causing her to shake up and down. Lotta was bigger, and taller, then Darla. The day went by fast, and it was now recess. Dot, Lotta, and three other girls were playing by the slide.

"Hi Dot! Hi Lotta!" Darla waved.

"Hello! Who are you?" A girl with red pigtails and a blue dress asked.

"That's Darla. She's not in our club." Dot said.

"Club?" Darla asked.

"We have a club called the little squad. If your nickname starts with little, then you're in." A girl with a pink shirt, overalls, and blonde hair said. Darla was still confused. You had to be called little Darla? And how was Lotta in?
