It's too late: A DB One-shot Fanfiction

It's a starry night tonight in Bulma's party. Everyone is celebrating Goku's victory agaisnt Majin Buu. While everyone is celebrating, Vegeta, standing in a corner, pretending not to care about the party, see Goku walking outside. His face, surprisingly without a smile, which is almost anytime.
-'Damn, what happened to Kakarot, he was supposed to be the one who happy this night…There is something not right…'Vegeta thought and followed Goku. Everyone think he is a simple, idiot, or cheerful person but being the same kind, Vegeta couldn't help but wonder what secret he is hiding
Did he have secret? Something that burried inside? …After all, Kakarot is the last of his kind. He doesn't believe a idiot like Kakarot can be so good at hiding secret…But there is something more, he notice Kakarot's eye somethime, for a blink moment, filled with misery, sadness, emptiness, making him shiver down to the spine
After a while, Goku stopped, standing behind the balcony…looking at the stars. Why? Of course, it is normal for a person watching star but Kakarot, he is a lousy fool, Vegeta decides it is the time to act.
-"Kakarot, what are you doing here, where is the happy face you got?"Vegeta said, giving a smirk while inside, his filledd with worry
-"You know.. Vegeta…"He trailed off, something about his voice seems filled with sadness…There is something of his voice sound like death, heartbroken…
-"…Do you wonder what happened if I married to Bulma?"Goku asked, his voice.. seems…oh god, what he has been through, he can't help but see that Kakarot's past is a VERY terrible one
-"WHAT?" Vegeta turns to furious, what the hell is Kakarot thinking…marry his wife, or his mate, what the fuck is he thinking, has he lost his mind. Of course, Vegeta notice the friendship between Goku and Bulma, he knows there is more…than friends
-"What would happen… if I marry Bulma?Will it kill the pain?"Goku looks back…his eye…oh god, it is bottomless, empty…which pretty much give Vegeta a chill down to his spine
-"What…Who are you, you are not Kakarot?"Vegeta said, he feel himself trembling" What happen to Kakarot?"
-" Oh, you do not recognized me…It's me…Kakarot, your Highness"Goku said smilling. Highness? Nononono…, it is his Saiyan side, it can't be, how can it come out, how can he remember? Anyway, not time to think now, if he remember his misson, this planet is doomed
Vegeta send a punch directly at Goku "DIE you imposter!"
-"What a shame, well am not, but if you want a spar…"He teleported behind Vegeta and talk to his ears "I will give you one"
Faster than Vegeta notice, the world go dark…he can't do anything, Kakarot is too strong…he can't, he doesn't have the power to protect
Meanwhile, Bulma is in her room, humming a song, it has been a while since she feels this delightful, what can she think, the world is saved, her best friend is a hero, her husband is not evil, Bulma couldn't help but be happy…
-"Jeez, where is Vegeta anyway"Bulma said loudly, it's not the first time Vegeta has gone, probaly sparring with Goku, oh well, let's not worry about it
-"Hi… Bulma"The voice sound sharply, making Bulma immedialy startled, freaking out
-"Ah… Goku?You scared the heck out of me. Why are you here? Have you see Vege…"She silenced when she sees his eye, it's pure black, sadness fill with it…this person, this is not the cheerful Goku she knows. This is NOT Goku!
-"Wha! You are not Goku… get the hell out of he..re"She shut up when the world around her turn black. What just happened to her…she can't think more
-Two hour later-Unknown location-
-"Ha…what?"Bulma wake up, the first things she sees is Chi-chi and Vegeta tied to the chair and noticed herself tied to the chair, too. What the hell is happening?
-"What? Vegeta! Chi-chi!" She called, trying to wake them up, they must wake up
-"Huh…Where am I?"Chi-chi asked, freaking out, not knowing what just happened to her
-"What? Woman? Harpy? WHERE am I? Vegeta asked in frustation, he, of all people got kidnapped, and worse of all, stuck with a woman and a harpy. A nightmare of his life
-"So you guy finally awake" The similar voice reached out, making the trio shivering
-"Goku/Kakarot"The trio said, mostly not believe what they are seeing, it's still Kakarot, but…it's not him
-"What happening here? Untie me, Goku"Chi-chi demanded, is it her husband…or…no, it can't be her husband
-"Sorry, Chi, Goku kind of taking a break now…"He said with a smile but they sense no happy in him. Even psycho happy to totured his victim…who the hell is this guy
-"What do you mean…Where is he?"Bulma asked, worry for her best friend…he can be dead again…not again
-"Don't worry, he's fine"He said calmly, his eye still filled with sadness but she knows he is saying the truth
-"Kakarot, what the fuck are you doing?"Vegita shouted, this is not the Kakarot he knows, but sa Saiyan can lives with 2 personality, so this must be his darkside…the true Kakarot
-"Easy, Vegeta, well at least someone remember my name, and about your question, I believe Bulma know better than anyone…After all, she is the cause of all this"He said without any emotion, making every bone in their body shivering
Vegeta and Chi-chi glance at Bulma and glance at Goku. What does he mean…Vegeta can sense that he is dangerous, more dangerous than anything he has seen, more than Majin Buu…is this the real power Kakarot have in his Saiyan side
-"What is that you implying?"Vegeta said angrily, he can't read him, he shows no emotion, which is impossible to read…what is he going to do
-"Vegeta… tell her the question I asked you before…Don't worry, I won't hurt anyone"He said with no emotion…still waiting…how can this guy, is this guy have a soul?
-"No way, you answer me first, NOW!"He command, if this is his Saiyan side, he must answer Vegeta…now
-"Have patient… my Highness"He said calmly, what is the sick games his is playing, no one know
-"Gah"Vegeta angrily trying to dismember the rope tying him, but it only got tigher and tigher
-"It won't work…my Prince. The harder you struggle, the tighter the rope get"He said with a smile, but still, no emotion can be sensed…there is no way…
-"What are you doing, I don't even know the answer, why are you doing this?"Bulma shouted…whatever it is… she still feel scared… but why? This seems familiar for her, when did she senses this before?
-"Bulma, you remember what happened before Goku and Chichi wedding?"He asked calmly…How? How can he know about that…Bulma know this is not good…
-"What are you saying?"Bulma lied 'How can he know? Shit…if he knows more, I will be dead'
-"Don't play the innocent, Bulma, you know exactly what happen that day?"He said…still hoping for answer…Oh god…he knows…everything…who is this guy? How is the Saiyan side of Goku know it…?
-"I..I…no"She said, refused to talk about…but, secret can't never stay, not forever
-"Fine, if you don't talk, I will"He said, she senses the seriousness in his voice…How can only she senses it…there is something not right
-Flashback-The night before Goku and Chichi wedding-
-"Bulma, I love you"Goku said with a smile, oh she don't know how much he loved her…he love her more than anything…more than anyone…it's take a while for he to sort his feeling but now, he knows the answer
-"What…no! Forget it, you love Chichi!"Bulma shot back, she love him, too, but this is the best for him, that's what she thinks…Goku is still naïve…she can't ruin that…that Chichi…love him dearly, they will be happy together, not with her…
-"No…I love you"Goku convinced…"You love me…"His eyes filled with tears…why can she say that…after everything they done together…after every memories they have together…how can she?
-"I don't"She said coldly, trying to hide her feeling
-"You do"
-"I don't"

-"I don't"
-"I know what love is! I do love you! You do…*TWACK*"
Goku immedialy silenced when Bulma slap him…so…that's, huh…she doesn't love him…so why… why?
-"Trust me, Goku…this is the best for you…"Bulma said bitterly…oh, she doesn't know how much she hurts him more than she hurts himself…she used him…and threw him away…how ironic
-"I thought you…"He try to say but she cut in…always one step ahead
-"NO!"Bulma shouted, her voice is shouting right now but her heart, is screaming for her to stop, to stop him…she needs him…but how hard-headed she is…always think this is the best for him
-"Oh…I understand, I won't trouble you anymore…See you tommorrow…Bulma"Bulma try to reach, try to say that she doesn't mean what she said…but it's too late…and the consequences is more than she thought
-End flashback-
-"So what do that bother us"Vegeta say, gritting his teeth…Kakarot wants his wife the entire time? Why? He can't believe that bastard.
-"Bulma…If you don't love Goku that time, why you making he think you love him"He said with tears on his eyes… "It's just not fair, you know"
-"Why Bulma…He done nothing wrong, you flirt you him…make love with him… having weird look on him…you.."He voice trembling…It likes he has tried to hide those feeling for a long time
-"Kiss him…Why…Do you know? A part of him died when you say those words?"He said…done crying, look at her, his soulless eye fill with misery…The room filled with silence…
Bulma hear that, completely out of word…what had she done…Is she really hurt her friend that bad…how could she consider herself a friend of him…
Best friend you said? Some 'best friend' you are
-"Is this true…Bulma"Chichi asked…Bulma was her friend too, but she can't believe what she has heard…Bulma takes advantage of Goku and throws him away…just like that?
-"…"She don't know what to said, what can she say, it is done…she did it, ruining her best friend soul, what a angel she is, a blessing she has granted for her best friend
-"Tell me, woman…You fucked Kakarot?"Vegeta said, he is in utterly shock, he can't believe how evil this woman are…If in exchange that is him…he doesn't know what will happen to him
-"I…It's true"She feel her heart tighten…so that's it, she admit, that she killed her best friend inside after take advantages of him…how selfish she is
-"How could you do that? I…I…although I love Goku badly…I want him to be happy, not totured inside"She said, hardly believe that her friend, Bulma, have done something that terrible
-"Woman…If you want what best for him, you should told the truth…instead of playing with his mind…the Saiyans, one bonded with someone, it's hurt, especially when they die, or they think they are being played with…It's a miracle Kakarot haven't die yet"
-"No"Goku said coldly…"Bulma, hear this…that day… Goku try to suicide that night"He said with a sad tone… "I'm all his love, trust, and broken for you…you break him, Bulma…that's why I am…empty…soulless"
The talk strike her… Goku.. try to suicide "No, Goku wouln't…he is in that much pain…I don't know…"
-"No surprise for me…just…why he still alive?"Vegita asked, Saiyans are warrior, but they have feeling, too, Kakarot bonded with Bulma before, and that bond is broken within 1 day? To his knowledge…Saiyans after lost their bond, they fall into deep depression…and Kakarot seems like a serious case…
-"Goku…Bulma words tear him apart…He wants to live…for his family…for Bulma…he wants to protect her…so…his personality split."His said trembling, his voice bitterly
-"What…How?"Bulma asked…so that's why Goku that day look happy, still being friendly with her…just why…why he has to torture himself that much?
-"I thought you would know… so you not only don't love him… you hate him…that much?"He said in disblief…He can't believe…until now did Bulma knows…he thought…she will know sooner but he just wrong…too wrong
-"I thought…that would be better for him"Bulma said sorrily
-"No, it's not, did you really think the word you say change him, without pain…that's unblievable…I can't believe you…Goku… he is a idiot…why? He split his personality…that Goku you said, is created to consider you as a friend, best friend, he is born to protect you, after all the hurt you deliver to him…it's worse than dying a million times"He paused
-"The first thing…impossible for him."He said, shed a tear
The room filled with silence…No one know what to say…they don't believe a person like Goku have been through so much things…
-"Chichi…"He said… "Goku, although, love you.I don't know why, but he really fall for you"He said with a smile which make anyone heart melt "I'm sorry,Chi, I own you too much"
-"I…"She start to say…there is so much she wants to tell him
-"Shh…that Goku…love you, Chi"He said, his eyes look directly into hers...she already knows what she thinks…what will happen and lost of words
-"Bulma, that day you…kill him…sorry but…he die that day, the real Goku DIE that day…Why? Even though he is hurt, is still try to protect you, why did he has to be so blind…That Goku imprison me, the true feeling, it's going well…until…that lavender hair boy come, said that…he is the son of you and Vegeta,why… everyone just keep trying to hurt him!"He said with tear forming on his eyes
His onyx eyes, turn into soullessly, looking at her…She can feel that…guilt overwhelm her soul…How could she do that? How could she hurt him?
-"Goku, I'am sorry. Kami forgive me…"She said in tears…she knows that wasn't enough…for all the pain she has caused for him
-"I want to ask you, Bulma…"He said calmly… "That night…do you love me?"That voice…hopefully…tighten her heart
Should…she tell him the truth…she doesn't know….Should she lie? Bulma thinks 'I hurt him before…telling the truth will hurt him more…I should't…I can't…Yes…maybe
Summon her strength…she told him
-"No.."That word…just like that night…
-"You are a terrible liar…no…you mask your feeling, play with my mind again…why Bulma…you hate me that much?"He said, his eyes filled with tears, and yet, it will never be enough
-"Woman, just told him the truth" "Yeah Bulma, why?"Chichi and Vegeta demanded
She said bitterly…"That's the truth"
Again, she lie to him…the thing is, this will be the last time she lie to him
-"So that's it, huh…Just like that night"Goku said with a smile and tears start to flow down from his eyes
-"No, I'm sor…"She said in tear when her words is cut off
-"There is nothing to sorry about…It's my fault, for make you choose hard decision…It's my fault…for being too weak, for falling for you…For being an idiot that alway think you love me…just a little. I'am all wrong, despite all the pain, I still as naïve as always. But Bulma…I don't regret it…I just happy…to protectyou"
-"I..I"Her words trembling…
-"I don't regret it…I'm happy for you"He said with a smile mix with tears
He took out a knife point at Bulma…
-"Kakarot, what are you doing?"Vegeta said with anger…he is trying to kill Bulma goddamnit
-"You said you won't hurt Bulma!"Chichi looked at him in disblief, despite everything she has done…she worries for Bulma…too
-" I won't, my job is protect her…Vegeta…protect her for me…my job is done…Farewell, Bulma.
He said the reflect the knife into his chest and…
-"No, Goku, nonono….no…"Her voice trembling…the knife now is deep into his chest"
-"At least the pain is over…still painfull but…"he coughed up blood…"Be safe Bulma…be happy…"is all he said befor collapse in the ground
Bulma look in horror, completely lost of word….
-"GOKU!"Chichi screamed
-"Ka..ka..rot…"Vegeta said…shaking "We must get help!"Vegeta turn into Super Saiyan 2 in rage
Meanwhile…Gohan is sparring with Trunks and Goten
-"Wait…did you sense that?"Goten asked
-"Yeah…Vegeta power is rising and Dad…his ki..no way"
-"What happened"Trunks jump in, curious
-"It's gone!"Gohan said in worry
-"Oh no…Gohan…we have to get to Vegeta's as fast as we could"Goten said, he has just reunited with he dad…he can't lose him again
-Five hours late-In the hospital-
-"Oh no…oh no…what should we do?"Chichi asked in worry
-"Oh shut off, harpy, Kakarot will survive…I think…"Vegeta said back
-"You think? I can't believe you…but most is you, Bulma!"Chichi say, enraged
-"I…I… don't know this will happen"Bulma defense herself
-"Yeah…you don't know, especially whwn you play with his mind two time"Chichi say in annoyance
-"Woman…I must admit…Kakarot is a soft heart…But when a Saiyan in love, they love their mate dearly…Of course, you are not his mate but the pressure you put on him…seriously, if it me, I doubt I will survive"Vegeta said close his eye
-"Vegeta, Mom, Bulma…What happened"Gohan asked with curious
They all silence, what can they say, that his dad love Bulma and kill himself because of the pain she caused for him
-"Okay…I will talk again when you guy ready"Gohan sign and get out the room…
-"Mrs Son, I believe your husband have awaken, you and your family can come to see him…and perhap, say goodbye"the doctor said bitterly
-"What do you mean, say goodbye"Chichi asked
-"We try our best, but the knife was deep, and he is losing a lot of blood, sorry, we can do nothing"the doctor said with a apogetic look and walk away
-"I guess, we should see him"Bulma said…unsure, good job Bulma, now you are killing your best friend, the second time
-"I guess…Vegeta, you come?"Chichi asked sadly
-"I guess I will"Vegeta said firmly, why? Kakarot only allowed to die in his hand…not by his woman's hand
-"Goku…"Bulma look at him
-"Bulma…I glad you come…"Goku said, force a smile out of himself
-"Why, dummy, why did you do that…"Bulma told him
-"I'm sorry Bulma, because it hurts so much…oh well, at least the pain gone now…heh"Goku said weakly
-"I'm sorry too…I don't realize I hurt you that much…how can I consider myself your friend"Bulma burst out crying…she is going to lose him, the third times
-"You are always my friend, Bulma, I have died 2 times…but this time is the harderst one…Chichi, thank you for always be there for me…you know, I don't know how to pay you enough…I'm sorry" He said apologeticly, he doesn't want this moment to end, he want to stay with her
-"No…the best way you can pay me is stay alive, I don't care if you love me or not…I want you to survive and be happy…Please, promise me you will live, promise me you will be happy…"Chichi said in tears
-"Heh…meeting you is one of the most happy memories in my life…Sorry, but I can't make promise I can't keep…Sorry Chi..."He said weakly…Chichi always support, she is the reason he lives, he keep going until now…
-"Vegeta, you are one of my dearest friend, I notice you have changed…let say I am sorry for what happen…hehe"Goku said while he voice getting weaker and weaker
-"Kakarot…you are the one who make my person today…Still, I can't believe you love my wife…but I forgive you…"Vegeta said calmly 'You fool, why?"
-"Bulma, I'm still love you but I want you to be happy, along with Chichi..you are the best friend I can even ask for"…He said…almost like whisper
-"No..Goku…I'm sorry I lie…2 times…I just want what best for you…I love you…Dearly…please don't die, you just saved the universe…please…"
-"So…I am not a loser after all, I get it. I don't blame you, you care and want what best for me"He said, try to gather his strength
-"But it's clearly lead you to this. I indirectly killed you…and yet, I play the innocence…"
-"I want you to be happy Bulma. I'm glad to hear…it's beyond my expect…But sometime…It's too late…Fareware…Bulma" he said, his eye was empty, soulless, he has died…again…but this time…there is no coming back…
-"No Goku…NO…I'm sorry, please come back…No…."was all Bulma can say
Chichi, stopped dead, looking in the ground…She is sad…but also angry, however, she wants to make Goku wish…by not hitting Bulma…She walk to the door and turn back…
-"It's too late Bulma…Goku's gone…I hope you are HAPPY"
-"Woman…I will leave you with the waterwork"he try to act tought 'Damn it, Kakarot…why must you die, why?"
-"Goku…I'm sorry…I killed you…"Bulma cried
-10 years later-

-"Mommy, can I go with Goten, we will for a dragon ball hunt"Bra whined, this is Bra, the daughter of Bulma and Vegeta…oh god, she look exactly like her, except with the cocky, arrogant personality
-"Oh please…just you two?"Bulma asked, somehow happy to hear
-"Yes…it's will be great"Bra giggled
-"Yeah…do whatever you want…but no rough stuff okay?"Bulma said teasingly
-"Mommmm!"Bra said in annoyance
-"Okay, okay…Anyway, where Trunks?"She tries to change the subject
-"He is playing with Pan in Gohan house…anyway bye mom, see you when we have collected all the seven"Bra quickly run to Goten's
Goten…he looks just like Goku…a memory that always remind her
-"Okay sweetheart…heh..young and full of energy"
-"Kind of remind me of something…don't you see?"
-"Stop teasing me, Vegeta…"Bulma say in annoyance
-"I'm not teasing…anyway…I'm not Vegeta"The voice said which startled Bulma
-"Goku?"She said in disblief
-"Yes it's me…Jeez Bulma…I'm not THAT old"Goku said with a famous smile
-"Why are you here?"Bulma asked, she is happy that he's here, of course, but curious of why, too
-"To see you…Oh Kami…Still a feisty one…Just a little older"Goku grins
-"I have missed you…you know"She said with a blush
-"Nah…I want to say…don't beat yourself up about my death…you have nothing to ashame for…"He said with a famous smile and hand scratch in his neck
-"Well, I guess…why are you not visit Chichi anyway…"
-"Well, technically, I get glued to my… 'cause of death' heheh…Only you can see me" Yeap… he's till smilling
-"Well, so how long you gonna get stuck here?"She asked
-"Um…until you die"He said, signing
-"What? I'm stuck with you for the rest of my life?"Bulma screamed
-"Consider it…a punishment…"He smiled
-"Oh great…"She said with a annoying tone
-"Hey, consider about it, I have stucked with you 10 years without you even notice, remember when a car almost fall on you…well, I throw it away"He chuckled
-"Wait, that bus?Well, at least I know how I survive now"She said
-"Hehe…but when you do that thing with Vegeta, unfortunately, I see it all…Kind of remind me of my sexual frustation"He said
-"Well, you can't fuck a ghost, can you?"She teased
-"Dunno, but it's not that bad, right?"He asked
-"I supposed….but I still feel bad for you…"She say
-"Hey, I'm just invisible, that mean I still can eat"He laughed
-"Remind me where my food went"She said
-"Hey, it's not too late, make something for me, I will forgive ya"He teased wickedly
-"Fine, let's go…but I will tell everyone about you…"
-"Okay, fine…Come on, I'm starving"He said rubbing his stomach
-"Maybe it's is not that bad after all"She said with a smile "Oh…Goku"
