Two weeks after Meta Knight and Garlude left on their honeymoon, the Halberd arrived back in Dreamland. The airship landed on the field outside Castle Dedede, where Kirby and the rest of the children were playing.

"Mom and dad are back!" Sirica yelled excitedly.

"Poyo! Poyo!" Kirby chirped.

As the star warriors got off the Halberd, their children immediately greeted them with a hug, with Kirby hugging Meta Knight and Sirica hugging Garlude.

"Hi, kids," Garlude smiled as she returned the embrace. "You weren't worried about me again, were you?"

"Not really," Sirica chuckled. "I mean, I doubt even the stupidest demon beast would dare mess with you when you're on a battleship like that."

"Hi, Lady Garlude," Tiff greeted the lavender warrior.

"Oh, please, just call me Garlude," Garlude replied. "We've known each other for almost a year, and any friend of my daughter is a friend of mine."

"How was your honeymoon?"

"We had a whale of a time," Garlude chuckled. "And yes, that's a pun intended because we did see a whale, the same one that my late husband, Ragnar, and I saved from a fishing net when we were on honeymoon, many years ago. I could tell from its torn tail fluke that it was that whale. I think it recognized me as one of its saviors."

"Do you have a picture?"

"Right here," Garlude opened her bag and took out the photos of the whale that she captured and showed them to the children.

"That must've been scary, trying to rescue that big guy," Sirica said in awe.

"We feared for its life more than we did for ours," replied Garlude. "But we cut it loose in the end. Besides, it was only a baby at the time."

"How about that third picture?" Tiff asked.

Garlude showed the children the picture of the dolphin, which made them roar with laughter.

"Was that dolphin pretending to be a sea god?" Joe asked.

"I say it might have seen me do the same beforehand." Garlude chuckled.

"Told you that dolphins are smarter than you," Tiff giggled at her brother.

"Oh, shut up," Tuff rolled his eyes.

Another six weeks had passed. Garlude awoke in the middle of the night and made her way to the kitchen. In the fridge, she spotted a jar of pickles, and she began to eat them.

The crunching sound awoke Sirica, who turned on the light in the living room. Garlude immediately turned to face her daughter.

"Mom?" Sirica asked in confusion. "What are you doing up in the middle of the night eating pickles?"

"I'm just hungry; that's all," replied Garlude.

"Are you sure? Because I smell a bun in the oven."

"That's a possibility we can't ignore, now that you mentioned it. I'll talk to Dr. Yabui tomorrow," Garlude answered before eating the last pickle and going back to bed.

The next morning, the family of Star Warriors had breakfast, when suddenly Garlude started to feel lightheaded.

"Are you okay, mom?" Sirica asked with a worried tone.

"Yeah, I'm fine," Garlude replied reassuringly. "Just a little woozy."

"Lavender, you should have something to drink," Meta Knight said to his wife.

"Feeling any better, dear?" Meta Knight asked with a loving tone in his voice.

"I am now," Garlude smiled. "I shouldn't have eaten all those pickles last night."

"Honey, I'd go see the doctor if I were you; you've been like this since our honeymoon."

"Well, wish me luck," Garlude gave her husband a peck on the cheek before leaving the apartment.

"You two," Meta Knight said to his apprentices. "Let's head out."

"Yes sir," Sword and Blade answered simultaneously before the three swordsmen left Kirby alone with Sirica.

"Let's get going, Kirby," she said to the pink puffball. "I don't want to be late for school."

Meanwhile, Garlude entered Dr. Yabui's office.

"Ah, Lady Garlude," the old Cappy greeted the lavender warrior. "What brings you here today?"

"It's just that I been feeling weird for the past couple of weeks," replied Garlude. "I've been napping during the day, I've woke up in the middle of the night to eat and threw up into the toilet from time to time, and I also felt dizzy earlier. My daughter, Sirica, is convinced that I'm pregnant, but I'm not sure. By any chance, can you confirm that for me?"

"Certainly. First, I'll need you to lift your shirt and lie down on the bed, please." Yabui asked

"Okay," Garlude replied before doing as Yabui said.

"I'm going to apply some gel on your belly, and it's going to be cold."

Garlude nodded and cooperated with him. On a nearby screen, there was a vague shape of a puffball.

"Well, Lady Garlude, it appears that your daughter was right." the doctor smiled. "You are no doubt, expecting. Congratulations."

"Oh my Nova," Garlude began to cry tears of joy. "Meta Knight and I going to be parents. Well, I already am a parent, but I mean it's his child I'm carrying. He's going to be so happy when I tell him. So will Kirby and Sirica."

"I'm sure they'll be delighted to hear the big news. I'll let you know when to come back in for your next checkup," Yabui cleaned Garlude's belly off.

"Okay, thanks," the lavender warrior smiled as she made her way home.
