Ernesti could swear now his roommate had lost her mind as she was smiling like a madwoman with a dark aura coming off the woman as he became slightly worried over her mental state it didn't help that she lost out to Erza as well. Ernesti himself didn't mind not placing he'd be more embarrassed if he actually did place that would be awkward a boy winning a beauty contest set up for girls.
Both Mirajane and Cana were nearby and were coming to the same conclusions Ernesti came to Cana just had to make that crack about Lucy not having a boyfriend then again Ernesti never had a girlfriend.
"Great Cana you just had to make Lucy's mental state snap like a brittle twig." Ernesti said to the card user.
"Hey don't look at me cute boy it was Erza and Mirajane's fault as they just had to tell her about the Sorcerer monthly reporter coming here." Cana said as Ernesti caught the red haired woman running by in a white dress that he glimpsed.
"Alright I'll stun her Cana you tie her up Mira get some people down here to help us put Lucy's mind back together." Ernesti said.
A lot has happened in the past few months Laxus left shortly after when the news of his exile came up Makarov viewed the act as a punishment and Ernesti viewed it as a way for Laxus to explore the world on his own and do his own soul searching. He remembered how mad Natsu was over the whole thing as the fire dragon slayer was yelling at Makarov at the time about it.
"What do you mean you exiled Laxus he's one of us a member of Fairy Tail." Natsu yelled.
"Natsu." Ernesti got in front of the dragon slayer and looked at the man with an apologetic smile. "Laxus did something bad and is being punished for it however don't think he isn't going to come back to us. He needs to see the world and try and get in touch with what he really wants out of life."
"Yeah but, Ernesti how am I suppose to beat him with him gone." Natsu shot back.
"Natsu Laxus will no doubt be working on getting stronger as he wanders about so I don't think there will be to much to worry about once he returns." Ernesti said smiling with closed eyes.
"Yeah you're right which means I'll have to get stronger myself in order for me to beat him in our rematch." Natsu said with a smile.
"Master while I understand you are kicking yourself right now about what happened try and see that this was not your fault and that Laxus will be back sooner than you think." Ernesti offered the man a joyful smile.
"Why couldn't you be older then you'd be able to run things for me." Makarov said giving a smile of his own showing he was getting back to his old self.
Those words kept playing over in his head he also remembered Erza was spending long moments alone deep in thought and Ernesti had a good idea about what it was. He decided to at the very least give her someone to speak to anyone else would have received a fist to the face for the trouble.
"Let me guess Jellal." Ernesti said with a serious yet relaxed look.
"That obvious huh." The red haired woman said to the child.
"I may not know exactly what you're thinking but, I can take a pretty good guess as to what it is this has to do with the whole Mystogan thing and also with you wondering how long he's been here with you not noticing." Ernesti said. "Well that being the case then that means that Jellal is still alive out there somewhere wether or not that's a good thing I can't really say."
"I wish I had your optimism." Erza smiled and looked out the window.
"I wish I had your restraint sometimes it just feels once I get going it's impossible for me to stop." The silver haired boy said.
"Yeah you give some of us heart attacks with the crazy stunts you pull." Erza smile broadened.
"Yeah my mother said as much to me one day." Ernesti sighed sadly missing his mother greatly.
"What was she like." Erza asked the boy.
"She was nice extremely patient but, could scare me to death if I did something that bothered her which was more often than either of us wanted." Ernesti said.
Those conversations happened a few days ago and Ernesti was brought back to realty when he was grabbed by the blond haired wizard and was carried back to their place as Lucy was having her hair done by cancer.
"Uh Lucy why am I hear with you." Ernesti said.
"You heard what Mirajane said that a reporter from the sorcerer was coming to do an article on Fairy Tail right well we have to look our best if we want to get in the magazine." Lucy said.
"Need I point out the fact I am a male put in simple terms a boy you know opposite gender of you which I will remind you are female and easily a girl." Ernesti pointed out.
"It's a grey area with you and besides you are easily one of the cutest things that's ever graced the planet might I add." Lucy put in.
Lucy decided to pick up some more books on hairdressing for cancer as the two males were left to their own devices as Ernesti to ask the man for a little trim his hair had been getting a little long and needed some maintenance.
Deciding to head back to the guild hall to see what was up he caught sight of a blond haired man taking photo's of Erza he wore a pink shirt blue jeans had a bag that's strap went over his right shoulder and landed on his left hip. He had small blue eyes with sunglasses on top of his head while a camera was hanging by a strap by his neck. He then started to ask Erza a whole bunch of questions which Ernesti tuned him out and went over to Levy to see what she was up to.
"Hey Ernesti are you going to be part of the magazine to." Levy asked the boy.
"Nah I think Lucy would have more luck than that as Ernesti observed the poor blond was being ignored by the reporter all together." Ernesti looked over and sweated as the man nearly trampled her as he made a beeline for Gray and Juvia. "On second thought I am out of here." Ernesti then ran off not feeling comfortable with being asked any questions at the current moment.
Lucy had been unsuccessful in getting the man to notice her as she then spent the day with a man she met earlier from the book store and showed him about the place.
Ernesti wandered a bit to he noticed a girl with blue hair she had brown eyes and was in a yellow and blue dress with white trim in it and blue shoes. He noticed a mark on her arm other than that though nothing really stood out with her but, Ernesti could feel something special about her.
Later Ernesti returned to the guild. "Is the reporter gone."
"Yeah Ernesti you totally missed him." Gray said.
"Thank god I really didn't want him talking to me." Ernesti said.
"What you don't like reporters or something." Levy asked.
"It's not that it's just there are some questions I know he's going to ask and well I am better at talking to you guys than anything else." Ernesti said as he was more comfortable talking to the other guild members.
A short time later Ernesti found himself on a train asleep going with Natsu and Lucy on a job request after Lucy met up with the man she was going to have dinner with. Lucy came and practically dragged the poor boy along with thinking her luck would change with him about.
Alright first chapter in the second volume I know I didn't quite delve a lot into Lucy's story but if you read the manga or watch the anime you most likely knows what happens anyways there are some projects I got my mind on such as a crossover with my hero academy and rwby I have only seen season one of rwby and a little of season two and nothing of my hero academy but I got ideas.
Another idea I was thinking about would be to redo the work on my rwby and smt Noctourne crossover as I am thinking about remaking it although I think a Yang and Blake romance with the demi fiend would be nice as I think I will focus on that.
