Jump City, your typical major metropolitan west coast city, was active with the hustle of people going about their business, no one was taking notice of the 5 young adults who had a walk of purpose about them.
"Where exactly are we going anyway?" Asked the dark haired female with light skin.
"You'll see in just a second, Rae." The blond haired blue eyed male next to her answered with glee.
"How many times do I have to say it, Beast Boy? it's Raven not Rae."
Another male in the group looked over to his two friends and cleared his throat. "Actually it's Rachel. And he's Gar." He said, pointing at the blonde haired male. "And don't forget, you're Kory, Vic and I'm Richard." He finished looking at the last two people with them. "This is supposed to be a fun night out and the last thing I want is for anyone to find us out because we slipped up
"Sorry, Richard," said Raven
"Yeah, sorry dude. It won't happen again." followed Beast Boy.
If anyone in the city were to look at the ordinarily looking group of young adults they would see exactly that. Thanks in part to some upgraded holographic technology. The Titans, as everyone knew them, were currently using this new tech to take advantage of the night out in the city. Without them who knows what kind of attention would come their way. Good or bad.
"But I too am the curious, like friend Rachael, as to where we are going." Said Starfire, who thanks to the holo tech was disguised as a redhead with a tan complexion to her skin.
"This is something Gar and I have been planning for while Kory. But I had to wait until I finished everyone's holo gear. Speaking of which, do you like your bracelet?"
"Oh yes, I most enjoy it." Answered Starfire looking down at her wrist. "Do you like yours Rachel?"
Raven gracefully touched the small red jewel that was laying from her neck and pondered it for a second. "Somehow Victor you were able to create something that fit me just fine."
"And my watch is pretty cool too dude." Beast Boy said giving a fist bump to Cybor.
Starfire looked back over to Robin. "Richard did you not want to disguise yourself at all?"
"Well, I don't really need to." Said Robin. "While you guys can't control the way you look, no one outside the five of us in this city knows what I look like when I'm not in my uniform so I can be plain Richard."
"I see." Replied Starfire.
As they continued walking down the sidewalk they turned a corner and came upon the front of a building with a bright neon fox at the top and a burly gentleman who was at the front door checking people as they were coming in.
"The Clever Fox Tavern?" Raven read as they got closer. "Did we really go out just to go to a bar? And how in the world are we supposed to get in any way? We really don't have ID's"
"Oh, right I forgot." Said Cyborg digging into his pocket. "Here you go." handing an ID card to Beast Boy, Raven, and Starfire. Each showing their holographic selves with the information about them.
"Cy….Victor, are these real? Where did you get them?" Raven asked, looking down at her own.
"Well they're real in the sense that they came from the DMV, all I really did was change the picture to match what you look like now, but most of the info is still accurate."
"Is that legal!?" Raven asked.
"More like a greyish area." Said Cyborg scratching the back of his head. "We're all over 21, and Richard, Gar and myself already had identities before we were superheroes. Even you were pretty easy to create as your mom lived on Earth before you were born, I just based it off her. The only one that was a little tricky was Kori, sense you know….."
"Fine, moral ambiguities aside why did you drag me out just to go to the bar? You know I don't drink.
"Oh come on, Rae" Spoke up Beast Boy. "You promised one night a month where you would come out and do stuff with us. Besides we're not out here just to drink, we are out here to do that."
Raven looked over to a sign near the door that Beast Boy was pointing to. On the sign was the same logo as the bar itself and underneath it read: Trivia Night, come test your knowledge and win prizes.
"We are doing trivia at a bar? Do people really do this?" Raven asked.
"Oh glorious, this will be the most fun." Starfire replied with joy.
"Not that this doesn't sound like fun, but aren't we at a disadvantage with your unique…. knowledge Vic?" Robin asked.
"I'm already ahead of you, I put in an inhibitor chip in my head for tonight that took me off the grid." Cyborg replied, taping a finger to his temple. "Unless something major goes down it's just my human side tonight."
They made their way inside without any incident from the doorman and found a table. The place was already busy with people talking and having drinks. After a few minutes a young girl had walked up to the Titan with a welcoming smile on her face. "Hi guys! How is everyone tonight? Are you here for trivia or just having drinks?"
"Oh, we are here for both." Cyborg said, rubbing his hands together.
"That's great!" replied the waitress. "There's no actual cover charge to do trivia, the only thing we are asking is that each person playing do get at least one drink. A pitcher of beer can cover three people if you want, and to get all signed in all you need to do is go over to the bar to grab your tablets. You will register your team and also answer the question with them. Do you guys have any other questions?" The Titans all shook their heads in understanding. "Great! When you are ready head up to the bar and the game should be starting soon. Good luck!"
Raven sighed. "Well there goes me not participating in drinking I guess."
"Oh come on Rae, one drink is not going to kill you. I'll go up and get the tablet and get us all set up to play, do you guys know what you want to drink?" Beast Boy asks the other four.
"Do you want to get you, me, and Vic a pitcher and Kory do you want to get yourself and Rachel something?" Richard said.
"Oh that sounds great!" Replied Starfire. "Rachel I am going to get one of those drinks with the umbrellas in them, how does that sound?"
"Please nothing over the top, i'll just have a gin and tonic"
"Coming right up" Beast boy said as he and Starfire walked over to the bar to get everything ready.
"So, why this place?" Asked Raven looking over to Cybor.
"Well it's pretty popular with people in the city but doesn't have that much in the way of causing trouble and it has the added benefit that it is close to the tower in case something does go down."
"That does make sense, good thinking." Said Raven
A few minutes later Beast Boy and Starfire returned to the table with Beast Boy holding the pitcher of beer in one hand, three glasses in the other and a table underneath his arm. And Starfire holding hers and Ravens drink. When she set Ravens down in front of her, Raven blinked a few times in confusion looking at the purple cocktail in front of her.
"Kory ...that does not look like a gin and tonic…"
"I know friend Rachel but you are not going to believe it. They have a drink that has the same name as you called 'The Raven!' The bar person says it is an already established drink but sense they have a superhero with the same name living in the city they decided to place it on the menu. And it is apparently quite popular."
Raven looked back down at the glass. "What is actually in it?" She asked.
"One ounce rum, vodka and black raspberry liqueur. I tried it before bringing it over, it is very tasty."
Raven sighed again in defeat and brought the glass up to take a sip. "It's…...actually not that bad, thank you Kory."
"Alright now that we are all settled in let's get ready guys! I already put us in as a team and gave us a name too." Beast Boy said to the rest of them.
"Oh no, I hope it wasn't something childish and stupid you gave us as as a name" Raven said after taking another sip of her drink."
"Oh, you are going to love it, mama. Just wait and see" Beast Boy answered. "Oh look, I think it is about to start"
They all looked up to see a very characteristic man walk up to the main area up front where he sat down near a big screen display and picked up a microphone.
"Welcome ladies and gents, to The Clever Fox Tavern. Is everyone ready to test their knowledge and have some fun? Alright, before we begin some housekeeping and rules to go over, bear with me while I get the boring stuff out of the way. First, we have five teams that registered to play tonight and when you did, were given a tablet this tablet is your tool to win, as much fun as it is to shout out the answers that will not get you any point of any kind."
"Number B, this is a knowledge based game, this means there is absolutely positively no time where an electronic device is permissible for any reason. If myself or any bar staff see them in use you will be out of here faster than that time Control Freak was kicked out of the Jump City Comic Con for being too nerdy. I should know…..I was there."
"And color three, how this game is set up. There will be nine regular questions that will appear on the display behind me and each question is worth two points. You may talk amongst your team but once you have an answer you will type it into the tablet and hit submit. But make sure your team agrees on the answer because once you submit it there is no take backs, ok? After three questions we will have a speed round involving a category and you will have a time limit to come up a list of those things in that category. Each correct answer will give you one point so really the skies the limit with how many points there are. All together that will be 12 questions including the speed round, why 12? Because we like to go a few steps beyond the norm. Any questions? No? Good. Without further adieu let's meet our teams."
The display behind the announcer flickered on to reveal the team names of who would be playing.

"BEAST BOY!" Raven spoke quietly through her teeth. "You did not really name us 'Trivia Titans,' did you? Don't you think that is a little on the nose?"
"Of course I didn't Rae, I wouldn't be that carless ... our name is the one after." He pointed.
Raven looked back to the display to see the last name was shown at the bottom.

"How is that any better!" She asked looking back to Beast Boy.
"Oh come on Rachel it's all part of the fun. No one is really going to know it's us. Now relax and let's win this thing." Cyborg said.
"Alrighty then, is everyone ready?" The announcer called out. "The questions are going to appear on the screen and I'll be reading them out loud. You will answer them through the tablet and again, should not be screaming them out. If you do, not only will no points be given to your team but you run the risk of being thrown out. And really, who wants that to happen? After the first round of question the points will be tallied up together and your answers, and whether they were correct or not, will show on your tablets. Any questions?...No?...Good. Then let's get this party started! The first question should be coming up."
They all looked towards the big screen with anticipation. A few seconds later the first one was shown on the brightly colored display.
"We are going to start with an easy one, you know, to get the blood flowing." The announcer spoke. "Question 1….What is (15-8)=?"
The Titans looked at the screen with puzzled looks. "They are the joking right?" Star asked.
"Well he did say they were starting out easy. Gar you put the answer in right?"
"Way ahead of you I answered it before he finished reading it."
"Now that we are all warmed up from that brain puzzle lets get on to Question 2. After being denied service at a Louisville, Kentucky lunch counter, this heavyweight fighter threw his Olympic medal into the river in protest. Name this fighter."
"Oh, I got this one!" Cyborg said with excitement. "That one is Muhammad Ali. I went through a boxing faze back in high school and read everything I could about him."
"Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee." Beast Boy said typing away on the tablet.
"Is everyone ready for Question 3?" Called the announcer. "In the popular Sci-Fi movie series, Star Wars, Yoda is the Jedi Master who teaches Luke; ...What is the last name of Yoda?"
Beast Boy raised one of his eye brows "That can't be a legitimate question, they have never said he had a last name in the movies or anything." Beast Boy said, looking at the others. "Is he tricking us with this one?"
"Well maybe that's the point." Raven responded, still sipping her drink."Maybe it's supposed to be a trick question.
"So what. I just answer 'He doesn't have one'?"
"It couldn't hurt," Robin shrugged. "And if for some reason we are wrong it's still early enough that we can make it up later."
"Makes sense." Beast said typing away at the tabet.
The timer dinged the end of the question and the announcer picked up his microphone"How was that first round of question everyone? Not bad, right?" He said.
"Now before we get on to the first speed round lets tallie up the point to see how everyone is doing. You can look down at your tablets to see if you got the correct answer or not. And the running points so far are….."

The announcer took several seconds to look at the screen. "Team We'll Win this Time…..How did you manage to not get a single point? You would have to really try and not get the first question correct! I guess…. we'll just move on?" Turning back to his control station with a puzzling expression still lingering on his face.
"So anyway on to our first speed round. Now how this works is a topic will appear on the screen. It will be up to your team to answer as many things from that topic as you can, you will be given three minute to do so. After those three minutes are up your answers will be looked at and for every correct answer you give, one point will be added to your score. So your team has a chance to receive a ton of points from this. Is everyone ready?"
They all looked up to the screen as the category topic appeared. The words Literary Authors were shown. "Teams you have one minute to name as many literature authors as you can. And your time starts now."
The Titans all looked to each other "I really only know comic book authors." Beast Boy said, "And they probably don't count."
"And while I know a few I don't know well enough to give us the points we need," Robin said.
The four Titans all looked over to Raven who was finishing her drink. She looked back and forth between them.
Giving a heavy sigh and putting her drink down. "Alright, give me that thing I'll answer this one." She said holding out her hand for the tablet. As she began typing away on the tablet she looked over to Starfire with a pleading look.
"Hey Kori…...do….you mind…...getting me another one of those Raven drinks? It actually was quite tasty"
"But of course friend Rachel. I shall return."
As Starfire ran off to the bar, raven was focused on the tablet, her fingers typing away with purpose.
"Whoa, you go little lady you're killing it!" Said Cyborg
"We have one minute left so make sure to get in all your answers." The announcer spoke.
With 20 second remaining Starfire returned with two more fruity drinks for her and Raven, Raven still intently focused on her task.
"And time, now give us a few minutes and we will tally up the answers."
Raven gave the tablet back to Beast and picked up her drink. "Thanks Kori I am surprised at how much I like this drink."
"Of course friend." Starfire said with a smile on her face.
"That was awesome Mama, how did you think you did."
"I should have entered a good amount for us. It is one of the few things I enjoy as a hobby after all." Raven said sipping on her second drink of the night.
As they were talking among themselves the announcer came back to his station, microphone in hand.
"Alright everyone we looked at the entries and tallied them up. So let's see how everyone did."

Team We'll Win This Time…..I don't know how you are doing it but you were not able to answer a single correct name. Are you guys ok over there?"
"Alright you killed it Rae!" Beast Boy said.
"Yeah you did awesome." Responded Cyborg.
While Raven originally would not have at all chosen to come here tonight. And she would never admit it to anyone, the slight curve of the corner of her mouth as she was sipping on her drink was an indication she was, even a little bit, enjoying herself.
"Alright quiz players," The Announcer said into the mic. "I say there is no time like the present so why don't we move on to the next round of question, shall we? For question 4…..A couple celebrating their crystal wedding anniversary has been married for how many years?"
All the Titans blinked at the screen before looking at each other.
"Please friends, what is a crystal wedding? Does it involve actual crystals?" Starfire asked
"Don't look to me for this one." Raven Answered. "I'm knowledgeable in literature and the occult, but I don't know anything about relationships."
"I know that weddings have a theme for different years they reached but I never thought about the amount of years it took to reach them." Robin yes scratching the underside of his chin in thought.
"Well we better answer something soon because time is almost up." Said Cyborg.
"Well I guess we say 25?" Asked Robin.
"Yeah, that sounds good to me, are we all in agreement?" Replied Beast Boy holding up the tablet.
The other nodded their heads allowing Beast Boy to answer. As soon as he submitted the answer the announcer spoke out into the crowd. "And with that we move on to question 5…..The Statue of Liberty was given to the US by which country? Your time starts now."
"Oh even I know that one." Beast boy said as he was typing away on the tablet.
Cybor raised his eyebrow. "You are answering France, right Grass Stain?"
"Yeah dude, don't worry this is a simple one."
"Ok just wanted to make sure"
"I may not be smart enough to know everything, but just like when Napoleon beat George Washington at Pearl Harbor everyone knows France gave us the Statue of Liberty."
"Ah Gar…..Napoleon and George Washington weren't at…" Before Cyborg could finish his sentence Raven placed her hand on his shoulder and shook her head to indicate that it was probably best to let that one go…..for everyone's sake.
The timer on the screen went off letting them know the question had ended. "So I say we keep the good times rolling, don't you think teams?" Spoke the announcer as the timer was reset
"Question 6…..What country has the highest elevated waterfall in the world?"
"Yeah, I don't have this one, dudes" Beast said throwing his hands up.
"And while we have been around the world dealing with the Brotherhood of Evil I wasn't really paying attention to the geography." Said Cyborg.
"What should we answer then?" Asked Raven
"How about the Brazil?" Shrugged Starfire. "It sounds the most logical for me."
"Fine by me." Answered Beast Boy as the other nodded with him.
A minute later the announcer tapped on his microphone. "And that will end this round of questions. Shall we see how everyone did? Yeah? Ok, Don't forget to look at your tablets to see the answers"
Everyone looked up to the big screen as the scores were being calculated. "The results have come in. And they are…."

The announcer looked up at the screen than back to the crowd, just in case he looked back to the big screen and made sure he was not missing anything. 'Coul…..Would someone go over and make sure that 'We'll Win this Time' is actually still alive? I don't think I have ever seen a team not actually get one question right before. Ok? Thank you. Well anyway shall we start on to our second speed round?" The announcer hit a couple of keys and a one minute timer was brought up for everyone to see. "This speed round, you have three mintute to name as many country singers as possible."
The Titans all looked to each other with a perplexed expression on their faces.
"Does anyone have any knowledge with this one?" Cybor asked.
"I know a couple, but that's about it." said Robin
"And with that you may begin." yelled the Announcer as the timer started to count down.
Robine took the tablet and started to type. "What about Taylor Swift, isn't she a country singer?" Asked Beast Boy.
"She does pop now."
"Wait sense when!"
"A few years ago"
"I am sorry friend," Starfired looked on with a solemn look. "I am not the knowledgeable with your Earth music, so I am sad to say I can not help.."
"It's ok Kori, I'm no more knowing of this topic than you are." Said Raven.
"1 minute 30 second left". Yelled the announcer.
"Oh I know, the one that liked to wear the hat." Beast Boy said taking the tablet.
"How many do we have so far?"
"Only 5, does anyone have anymore?"
They all looked at each other but ultimately no one gave any more answers.
"30 second."
"Crud, do we call this a wash, then?" Asked Cyborg.
"Yeah, it's ok we'll get it on the next round." Beast Boy answered with a sad look.
"And time! Give us a few minutes to taily the names and we'll be back in a few."
Everyone began talking amongst themselves. Excitement in the air with how much fun they all seem to be having. As the moment creeped by anticipation grew on how all the teams were doing. Even Raven was a little anxious. The announcer came back to the mic and everyone grew quite waiting for him to start talking.
"We have everyone tallied up and I dare say we definitely have a game on our hands. Let's see how you guys are all doing"

"Who knew there were that many country singers out there." Beast Boy said folding his arms on the table.
"It's a popular music genre, just not that popular with us" Cyborg shrugged
"Well it's still not a music i see myself getting into anytime soon."
"Everyone we have made it to the third and final round, and oh boy has it been a hell of a game." The announcer chimed in. "I think this has been one of my best night hosting. Is everyone ready?" Murmurs came from the crowd letting him know they were. "Good, let's go."
"For this final round of questions, question 1:What is the name of the fungus known for the zombification of ants that will force them into their colony to release more spores?"
"The fungus that does what now?" Beast Boy perked up with curiosity
Koro jumped and clapped with joy "Oh, he means Ophiocordyceps, or commonly known as the zombie fungus, is a genus of fungi within the family Ophiocordycipitaceae. Starfire said.
The rest of her friends looked on with blank stares, not knowing how to process this information.
"I learned it on World of Fungus," Starfire said with a giggle. "It is one of my top three favorite fungi on this planet and has a simpler characteristy to one that is found on Vagar, a planet that neighbors Tamaran. All though that one is known to infect any living being, not just little ants."
"Remind me never to book a vacation to Vagar." Beast Boy said typing away on the tablet."
"Yeah, and if that one is one of your top favorites, I'd hate to see what the others are." Said Cyborg with cringe.
"Oh friend." Starfire continued. "I just want to say how much of a glorious time I am having tonight, we must do more of the trivia night." she said as they waited for the next question to come up. "Do you not agree friend Rachel?"
"To tell you the truth I am having more fun than I thought I was going to" Raven said swirling the ice around in her now empty glass of her drink. "I am not sure I want to do this that often. But I am glad I'm here tonight with you guys."
"See," Beast Boy Said, raising his eyebrow and nudging her with his elbow. " I told you you would have fun."
"Yeah, yeah now let's get ready for the next question." Raven responded.
"Alright all you party people, we are on the home run stretch. Who is ready for the next question? Good, question 2 of the final round: In the sport of Judo, what color belt follows an orange belt?
Beast Boy responded in a nonchalant chuckle without even looking up from the tablet. "Dick, I am assuming you have this one?"
"Green belt" Robin answered finishing the sip of beer he was having.
"Cool dude." Beast boy answered typing away on the tablet.
"Ah man if we keep this up I don't see any reason we can't win," Cyborg said leaning back in his chair with his hands behind his head.
"Be careful Vic, you never know the kind of question that will come up. It never helps to be cocky." Raven said.
"It's ok Rachel I think we have this in the bag."
At that moment the final question had appeared on the screen for everyone to see. "The final question of the night." The announcer said. "Question 3: According to the US postal service and the Citizens Stamp Advisory Committee, what kind of person shall not be honored on a US postal stamp?"
Raven looked over at Cyborg with a look that said I told you so.
"What?" Cyborg said sheepishly. "This doesn't mean we can't answer it. RIght guys?"
"Dude, I didn't even know people still used stamps." Beast Boy said.
"And I am sorry friends, but as I do not have this Citizens Stamp Advisory Committee on Tameran as here on Earth, I am afraid I can not answer this either."
Cyborg looked over at Robin who also gave a shug. "Well we still have to answer right? So what about super villains? I mean, who wants to buy a stamp that the ugle mug of The Brain or Plasmus, right?"
"It works for me. You guys good with that?" Beast Boy asked looking around. Everyone nodded in agreement. "Alright," Beast Boy answered typing away. "And that will conclude the question." He finished hitting the enter key.
"And time." The announcer called out. "I have to say this has been one of my favorite nights of hosting I have had in a long time. Why don't we tally up the final question and see how everyone did, shall we?"
Our Titans Team looked on as the answers appeared on their tablet.
"A living person!" Cyborg cried out loud. What kind of answer is that!" He asked.
It is the ok friend Victor, we shall come out victorious in the end." Starfire responded with a hand on his shoulder.
"Now let's give the score board one more look at before we move on to the final round of the night." Came the announcer.

"Ok team, this is it,'' Beast Boy said, getting everyone close. "This is the final round and we are not out. All we have to do is get more right than wrong and we got this."
"As opposed to another way of winning?" Raven said, raising her eyebrow. "Ah come on Rae, give me this one moment for a pep talk, ok?"
"Do not worry, friend Garfield, we shall be victorious." Said Starfire.
"We got this!" Cybored answered while Robin just nodded his head in agreement.
"With this final round," the announcer called out, grabbing everyone's attention. "You have three minutes to name…..…" He paused for dramatic effect. "As many official members of the Justice League. Are you ready? And go to it."
The clock started and the Titans put their heads together. "Dudes we have this in the bag, we already know the big three." Said Beast Boy.
"There's Zatanna" Raven said with as little enthusiasm as she could produce in her voice.. "Green Arrow and Aquaman," Said Robin. "The Martian Manhunter" Said Cyborg. "The no honor Green Lantern" Starfire said with anger in her voice.
"One minute down. Get your answer in as quickly as you can. The announcer called out. The Titans kept giving out names as Beast Boy typed away, it seemed all the time playing video games was paying off for the green skinned superhero.
"One minute left everyone get your answers in if you can".
"Red Tornado," said Cybor.
"Doctor Fate," Said Robin.
"And that's time".
"Wow guys, was that stressful or what." Beast boy said with a sigh and falling into his chair. "But we did"
"Now give us a few minutes to look over the answer and we'll announce the winner in a bit."
"Whatever the outcome of this is, I have had a lot of fun tonight friends." Starfire said, clapping her hands together. "Did you have fun tonight Rachel?"
"Yeah, it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be." Raven had a slight smile on her face.
"Look guys he's coming back."
The announcer returned and everyone quieted down. "We have looked at all your answers and tallied them up. We'll start from the team in last place and go up from there. I won't even go much further into this. Team We'll Win This Time you somehow managed not to answer any correct answers and you are in last place with zero points. I'm pretty sure you did that on purpose but for what reason I will never know. In fourth place we have So Easy A Caveman Will Answer with 14 right answers bring them up to 50 points. In third place we have Quiz Masters with ten right answers bring them to 55 points, nicely done. And we have a two way tie between Trivia Titans and Secretly Superheroes with 20 names of the Justice League members."
"What!" the Titans called out. "How can there be a tie?" Cried out Beast Boy.
"But there is something else however." The announcer continued. "Both teams named the same superhero in their answers but only one team named him correctly."
"We did what now". Asked Cyborg.
And that team that did and overall the winner of tonight's game is…."
Outside in the city it was still alive as ever with the people going about their business, our Titans walked with the same pace as everyone else but their faces told a different story.
"Mhmmm BOOYAH." He yelled jumping the air, a couple people looked on in confusion.
"I can't believe we actually won dudes." Beast Boy said holding up the trophy to admiring it once more.
"Yes, it is quite glorious that we are the winners friends."
"Who would have thought it would have come down to a technicality. Nice jobs with Captain Marvel's name Rick." Beat Boy said.
"Yeah that's the thing, he calls out Shazam so much now that people assume that his name, they have completely forgot that when he started out he called himself Captain Marvel. He got so tired of correcting people he just lets the slip go now. But he's still Captain Marvel."
"That was a lot of fun, even you have to admit you that Rae."
"Yeah I guess I did." Raven said
"Well team I say we head back to the Tower to finish this celebration, what do you say?"
"Yes, let us finish this glorious night back at home."
"And we can totally plan next month's outing." Beast Boy said.
As Titans Tower neared, ideas of what they would do next month started to be bounced among them, but if you were to ask them later on they would probably say that trivia night was one of their favorites.
