POV: Kuroo Tetsuro

"One touch!" Kuroo called out as the ball left a stinging feeling in his palm.

"Got it!" Yaku said promptly before receiving the ball. Kenma set the ball, and immediately, Kuroo ran up and slammed it to the ground past the blockers. While the Nekoma team celebrated the fact they were at set point, Karasuno regrouped to try and pull themselves together.

As Kuroo drank thirstily from the yellow water bottle, he overheard Bokuto.

"Did you see Karasuno's ace just now?! He spiked the ball so fast!" Kuroo's breath hitched as he remembered one of Bokuto's weaknesses Akkashi had mentioned. Bokuto's "emo mode". Akkashi noticed too and reacted almost immediately.

"Well, you're way better anyways. Asahi could never go against you." Bokuto grinned widely.

"Thank you, Akkashi!"

Akkashi murmured a small 'whatever' before going out of earshot as Kuroo and the others walked back onto the court. Karasuno's Coach Ukai yelled out a last remark regarding everyone as the game resumed.

"This will be the last set for tonight!"

Everyone nodded in acknowledgment and began to play.

Eventually, the score started to climb into the 30s. Karasuno was now at set point.

"Hinata!" Kageyama yelled, setting the ball to the orange-haired ball of energy.

"Triple block!"

Somehow, the shorties' spike got through, and the ball fell to the ground. Karasuno won.

"Okay, clean up! Make sure to get plenty of rest tonight!" Coach Ukai said sternly.

"Yes, sir!" Everyone replied.

Little did any of the teams know the pain and loss to come. The situation they would be put in. The danger that their lives and friends' lives would be in. After all, it was just a regular training camp like any other. Right?
