A hundred and one days pass and they arrive to the world, greeted by gold-threaded priests of the Ecclesiarchy and Sisters of Battle, the Space Marines go about fortifying the capital city of Galentail. Less than a week later, the great darkness, a warband of the Black Legion descends upon the cardinal world. A half year after astropath contact is lost, a relief force is dispatched. On arrival to high-orbit of Galenius Trail, a series of high-level astropathic messages are dispatched to the Inquisition. Only the body of Castiel is ever returned to Britanica.

The Angels Scythes Fifth Company lands on Odelian Belth, a civilised world on the edge of Segmentum Solar, to investigate a distress call from the planetary governor. As the Space Marines investigate the ruins of the governor's spire, the Scythes are attacked by a band of possessed Traitor Marines. Surrounded and outnumbered, the Scythes try to break out - focusing all their strength on one point. Captain Robern bought valuable time for his brothers by seeking out and attacking the enemy leader. Although his eviscerator was destroyed, and his right arm was torn from his body, he struck down his foe and led the Scythes out of the ambush.
Less than a third of the Angels Scythes escaped the ambush. In the aftermath of the battle, Robern orders the capital destroyed by a volley of lance and macrocannon's firing.

Recovered in which are dozens of suits of Terminator armour, of pattern's older than the common Indomitus. For these actions, the Chapter faces censure by the Dark Angels and their successors. 484. M39. Relief of Bellus. Captain Zulron of the Eight Company answers a distress call from the world of Bellus, to which he finds a Mordian Regiment under siege by Iron Warriors. Using a masterful campaign of rapid-strike with land speeders at its core, The Angels Scythes annihilate the traitors. The land speeders of the Company are able to quickly weave in-and-out of return-fire from the traitors of the Ultima Line, where they destroy the siege cannons present. The bulk of the Companies assault squads launch a lightning-fast assault on the left salient edge of the Iron Warrior's.
Supported by counter-battery fire from the Mordians and his own land speeders and gunships Zulron leads a final assault on the Warsmith Kestron's main encampment. Shortly afterwards the Mordians depart Bellus with tales of warriors that struck like black-lightning.
511. M39. Euphotarn Incident. When the world of Euphotarn was struck by a chaos insurrection, the planetary governor sent out a plea for immediate assistance. As Euphotarn falls under the remit of Segmentum Solar, the Angels Scythes deploy the Sixth Company under Captain Varen. However, upon arrival Varen discovers that forces of the Angels Revenant are already fighting the rebels. Angered by the slight against the Chapter, Varen orders an immediate assault on the rebel command in the Hive Tempstorum. Though suffering high casualties over the two day battle, the Scythes claim victory. This brought the Revenant's captain to chastine Varen, for not obeying the tenant of the Codex Astartes and ignoring his commands, claiming he was the senior of the two. One of these ships being the Hunter-class vessel Britanica's Respite, former vessel of Fleet Master Alchetron. In retaliation for the destruction of the ship and Mechanicus assets, Alchetron is charged with bringing Erasmus to justice. After a one month hunt Alchethron eventually corners Erasmus and boards his vessel. Gene-seed
The Gene-seed of the Angels Scythes is still capable of producing all nineteen of the organs needed to transform a mortal boy into a Space Marine. Moreover, there is little evidence of mutation or fault in the Geen-seed observed over time.
Culture
The Angels Scythes pride themselves on their martial history. They hold a certain fluidity to them: from the stern stock-still stance of a warrior on a besieged citadel, to the fluid sword-dance of a swordmaster in a violent melee. They believe that they must be fluid in their readiness to resist mankind's enemies.
The Chapter Master is called the High King of Britanica.
Due to their earliest battle's being against the Treacherous - and in their eyes - tainted Ecclesiarchy, the Scythes are far from pleased to work besides them or the Sisters of Battle. Their disdain has gone as far as to outright verge on Heresy to some, claiming it is the Ecclesiarchy zealous actions which draw's people to Chaos.
The Chapter also follows some of the teachings of the people of their homeworld.
It is not uncommon to find Scythes engaged in a hunt for some of Britannica's many beasts, or even taming some of them for use in battle. It is due to their forefathers teaching that they place such high value on comradery. A leather kilt has been observed to be gifted to certain warriors.
Organisation.
The Angels Scythes follow the Codex Astartes loosely, seeing it as being more guidelines than solid laws. The most notable difference from the Codex Astartes is the Sixth Company, due to losses included in the Age of Apostasy, the Sixth Company upholds the same role as the Second through Fifth.
The Chapter also elects its Chapter Master by vote. Each Captain may stand, and is then made to duel the others, then the last two are voted upon, and the one with the most votes wins.
The Chapter Master can also be usurped if voted by the Chapter Council.
