"Rrah! Glorious Burst!" A tall humanoid dragon in red and white armor held his hands together and released a massive ball of energy. A young man with spiky brown hair stood on his shoulder.

The newest generation of digidestined watched the Digimon destroy the control spires.

"Yeah, we rule!" Davis shouted in victory over the control spire's destruction.

"Nyah, nyah!" Yolei happily exclaimed.

"Take that, control spires." Davis said as they all sing a victory song and laugh together with Ken watching.

"I never thought I would have friends like this Wormmon." Ken said.

"Don't tell me, tell them." Wormmon said as Ken took out some invitations.

"What if they don't come to my party." Ken said, nervously.

"Of course they will." Wormmon replied as Davis noticed Ken and ran up to them.

"Huh? Ken, get over here and join us. Hey what have you got there?" Davis asked.

"Well I..." Ken began.

"Aw, come on, Ken." Davis said.

'This Christmas party is a bad idea I should forget the whole thing, but what can I do with all that eggnog?' Ken thought.

"Hey guys, Ken's got something to show everybody." Davis said.

'Thanks a lot Davis.' Ken thought.

"Come on, guys gather around." Davis said.

"What is it?" Kari asked.

"Cool?"

"Really?"

"Wow."

"Ahem I request the honor of your presence at a holiday party. That is I..." Ken said nervously.

"Say no more, you're having a Christmas party. We're in." T.K replied.

"Hey Ken, can we come?" Veemon asked.

"Of course. Maybe you'll even catch Gatomon under the mistletoe." Ken said as everyone received the invitations to his Christmas party. However T.K and Kari had sad expressions on their faces. This didn't go unnoticed.

"Hey T.K, Kari what's wrong?" Yolei asked.

"Yeah, you two look upset." Cody added.

The humanoid dragon began to speak after approaching them. "For only one reason. You're thinking about "him", aren't you?"

"Yeah, we just have a old friend on our minds. He helped us on our adventure in the Digital World three years ago." Kari explained.

"Yeah, he was a great figure and was like a brother figure to me while we faced many challenges together." T.K said as the next generation of Digidestined heard their story.

"Where is your friend?" Davis asked.

"I honestly have no idea." The dragon closed his eyes and shook his head. "It's been about five years since our last encounter."

"ShineGreymon's right. He returned home and we never saw him or his partner again." Kari said as tears poured down her face. That's when Yolei walked up to them.

"Hey, I know it's rough Kari saying bye to your friend, but you still have us." Yolei said. This cheered Kari up as they returned to the real world with a surprise for Tai and the remaining original Digidestined. Ken told them to keep going as he would catch up with them later and then he heard a beautiful melody in the Digital World.

"I wonder where that melody came from?" Ken thought as he returned to the real world.

A figure was standing on a tree, watching them with a leaf in his mouth and he wore a cloak camouflaging him against the tree.

"The Digital World has changed a lot over the last three years." The cloaked figure said.

ShineGreymon also heard the melody and glanced over to the tree, his eyes widening in shock at the black hair visible under the cloak. "You're-"

"Attention holiday shoppers get in the spirit of the season and spend, spend, spend." The announcer said.

"Sorry I'm late guys but there was this really cute girl who wanted my autograph."

"Oh this is a lame excuse, zip it."

"Everyone hear a rehearsal." Matt said. He was now a rock star. Then his phone began to ring.

"Sorry, Matt. I'm going to be working late tonight. You'll have to make your own dinner, sport."

"That's okay dad don't worry about it. My band's got a gig tonight. Besides, you're a lousy cook." Matt said.

"Very funny, you wolfed down my tuna surprise." Matt's dad said, then Matt said goodbye to him.

"I just love the holidays, Mummymon all the smiling faces, all the better when we give them something to frown about." Arukenimon said.

"Thanks for meeting me at the mall Mr. Motomiya. It's so nice of you to return T.K's homework. He's so forgetful." His mother said.

"At least your son does his homework. I had some Christmas shopping to do anyway. I'm buying Davis a notebook, not that he'd ever use it." Mr. Motomiya said.

"By the way, thanks for always letting T.K come over. It really helps me out since I'm so busy." Ms. Takashi said.

"Oh it's okay T.K's a great kid." Mr. Motomiya said.

Meanwhile, at Sora's apartment she and her mother were spending Christmas time together.

"Is it great Sora, we're enjoying Christmas together." Sora's mother said.

"It sure is." Sora replied. Her mother saw her wearing a necklace with a green metal feather on it. It turned out to be a Earth Badge as she was talking to her daughter.

"Sora, it's been three years since you last saw Ash Ketchum, hasn't it?" Sora's mother asked.

"I know mom, and it's hard not to forget him." Sora replied as a tear came down her face, then she told her mom that she's going to see her friends again as she ran to the door and they see Davis and the others holding a sack.

"Let me out of here Davis. I know I'm supposed to be a present, but did you have to gift wrap me." Agumon said.

"Shh. You'll ruin the surprise Agumon. Wait till I give you the signal. Now!" Davis said as the original Digidestined see their Digimon partners.

"I think they like their presents."

"Just call me Davis Claus." Davis said.

"Just what I wanted. How did you know?"

"A little birdmon told us." Yolei said, before noticing the sad expressions on their faces.

"Guys, do you know what I want for Christmas." Tai said.

"Ahem."

"It's great to see our Digimon partners again, but the other thing is that I want to see Ash again." Tai added.

"True Tai, I miss him too." Matt said.

"Yeah, this reunion's not the same without him." Izzy said.

"Yeah, he's the only friend we're missing." Joe said as they turn and look at Sora.

"Yeah, I remembered when we hanged out together. And we shared our first kiss." Sora said as Tai and Matt listened.

"What, he kissed you." They said at the same time.

"Yes, that's something I never forgot." Sora said. The three got ready for Matt's concert and saw it was huge. Sora held a box of cookies for Matt as Tai approached her to cheer her up as she really missed Ash. But she told him she's going on a date with Matt as the second generation of Digidestined were at the Christmas party with Ken and as they're talking they heard a crashing sound.

"What was that?" Cody asked.

The second generation Digidestined ran out the door and towards the spot to see what made the noise and looked up.

"Yo guys." A spiky brown-haired man greeted them while sitting on ShineGreymon. He then got to his feet.

"Ryu, ShineGreymon." T.K and Kari replied back.

"Yep, and we're not alone. Come on out." Ryu snapped a finger as a cloaked figure playing a leaf stepped out from behind ShineGreymon's right leg.

"Ash, is that you?" Kari asked as a figure with a yellow mouse that had a lightning-bolt shaped tail saw Kari as he pulled the hood down.

"Hello, Kari." Ash said.

"Pika." Pikachu added.

Kari saw him, then ran over and gave Ash a hug.

"We thought we would never see you again." Kari said as the second generation Digidestined and T.K witness the whole thing.

"Ash, Pikachu I can't believe it's you." T.K said as he, Patamon and Gatomon ran up to them.

"Ash, Pikachu we missed you." Patamon said.

"We're together again." Gatomon said.

"I'm so happy to see you guys again." Ash said.

"Pika." Pikachu said.

Davis then went to ask them a question.

"Alright, who's the new guy and how do you know him." Davis asked, looking at Ash.

"That's our friend Ash. Davis!" Kari looked at him with a angry expression as Cody remembered his name.

"Wait. I remember that name, you're the Pokemon trainer that comes from a different world and possesses the master digivice." Cody said. T.K and Kari were surprised he knew about Ash and Pikachu, as well as the master digivice.

"That's true. You must be Cody, one of the newest members of the team." Ash said.

"You know." T.K said as Ash smiled.

"Izzy told me about all of them Yolei, Ken and now goggle-head." Ash said.

"You mean Davis right." Davis said as Kari told him that Ash calls Tai goggle-head.

"What brings you here Ash?" T.K asked.

"Well, it's been a while and I thought I would come visit you guys. You know, just like old times." Ash said.

"Pika." Pikachu said.

"And we're so happy to see you Ash. Say, you wouldn't mind waiting at my place till we get Tai and the others." T.K said as Ash nodded then they head to T.K's apartment as the others went to get the whole gang as the original Digidestined came to T.K's apartment to meet them there for a surprise T.K mentioned and when they went inside...

"T.K, what's the surprise?" Tai asked.

"Yeah, what is it?" Sora said.

"Guess who?" Sora recognized the voice as she looked and saw Ash.

"Ash is that you?" Sora asked.

"That's right guys." Ash said as the Digidestined and their Digimon were happy to see their friend again. Sora hugged him as she was happy to see him again.

"I thought I would never see you again." Sora said in tears as Ash was happy to see Sora again, then Tai gave him a high five.

"Together again Ash!" Tai said.

"Like old times Tai." Ash replied.

"It's been three years since we last saw you." Joe said.

"Yeah, and I was thinking about asking Sora out on a date." Matt said, unaware that Ash wasn't happy about it until Izzy calmed him down.

"Easy Ash, he's just kidding." Izzy said. This calmed him down and there's more to their story Ash wanted to hear after three years.
