Hello! I am back with a new story! I was really inspired by The Night Ninja's 'Three Winters', so I wanted to make my own story. ENJOY! BTW, I don't own any characters (I MIGHT add my own characters).
In a land far, far away, there was a kingdom called Arendelle. The king and queen had four children. The triplets, Elsa, Jack, and Zane, had magical powers. They could make ice. They all had pale blond hair that looked almost white, with skin almost as pale, and they had startling blue eyes that seemed to glow in the dark. But the youngest, Anna, was as ordinary as a girl can be. With red hair and sparkling blue eyes, she was like the fire to her older siblings snow. But that didn't stop her from having fun with them. "Guys! Psst! Guys!" Anna said as she climbed on top of Elsa's bed.
"Go away, Anna," Elsa murmured.
"But the sky's awake, so I'm awake, so we have to play!" Anna said dramatically.
"Go play by yourself," Jack said from the other side of the room. Elsa pushed Anna off of her bed. Anna stood up with a mischievous look on her face.
"Do you wanna build a snowman?" she asked. That woke the triplets up right away. They ran to the ballroom on the first floor.
"Anna! Shh!" Zane whispered to his overly excited sister, who was bouncing rather loudly in excitement. When they reached the desired room, Jack froze the floor, Zane made it snow, and Elsa started building a snowman.
"Hi, I'm Olaf!" Elsa said, moving the snowman's arms. "And I like warm hugs!"
"I love you, Olaf!" Anna gushed as she hugged the snowman. Jack snickered in the background, and Zane smiled. Soon, Anna was jumping from snow mound to snow mound. "Catch me!" she cried happily.
"Anna, slow down!" Zane said worriedly. Just as Anna was in mid air, Jack, Zane, and Elsa struck her in the head with their ice powers. She fell to the floor, unconscious.
"Anna!" Elsa cried as she hugged her sister. "MAMA, PAPA!" Soon, their parents came rushing through the door.
"Elsa, Zane, Jack, what happened?" their father asked as their mother checked on Anna.
"I-it was an accident," Zane stammered with tears beginning to form at the edge of his eyes. He looked paler, if that was even possible. Jack looked shocked, and almost scared, and he wouldn't look his father in the eye. Elsa was hiding her hands behind her back, blue eyes shining with tears.
"She's ice cold," said their mother, holding Anna in her arms.
"I know where we have to go," their father said with a grimace. Soon, they were riding on horses into the woods. They emerged in a clearing filled with what looked like boulders, but they knew otherwise. "Please help! My daughter!" the king shouts. Some of the boulders moved aside as one larger than the rest rolled forward.
"Your majesty," the troll, Grand Pabbie, said. He took the triplets hands in his own. He looked at the king "Born with the powers, or cursed?"
"Born," the king said. "and they're getting stronger."
"Here, here," said Grand Pabbie, gesturing for the queen to show him Anna. He placed a hand on Anna's head. "You are lucky that it wasn't her heart. The heart is not so easily changed, but the head can be persuaded."
"Do what you must," the king said.
"I recommend that we remove all magic, even memories of magic," Grand Pabbie said as he took his hand off of Anna's head, bringing with it all the memories Anna had of playing with her siblings powers, and changed them to show four children playing outside in the snow and put them back in her head. "She'll be okay."
"But she won't remember we have powers?" Elsa asked timidly. The troll smiled sadly.
"It's for the best. Listen to me, children, your power will only grow. There is beauty in it," he says as he shows the silhouettes of an older version of Jack, Elsa, and Zane creating snowflakes. "But there is also great danger." One of the snowflakes turn red and spiky, then into the silhouettes of people who attack the older Elsa, Jack, and Zane, and they cowered behind their father. "You must learn to control it. Fear will be your enemy."
"No. We'll protect them. They can learn to control it, I'm sure. Until then, we'll lock the gates. We'll reduce the staff. We will limit their contact with people, and keep their powers hidden from everyone. Including Anna," the king said. Back at the castle, the king and queen gave the triplets their own room. Anna watched as her brothers and sister disappeared into their new room, wondering what was going on. Soon, it started snowing, and Anna was excited.
"Guys?" she asked as she knocked on their door.
Do you wanna build a snowman?
Come on, let's go and play!
I never see you any more.
Come out the door.
It's like you've gone away!
We used to be best buddies,
and now, we're not.
I wish you would tell me why!
Do you wanna build a snowman?
It doesn't have to be a snowman!
"Go away, Anna," Zane called sadly from inside. Anna slumped and walked away sulkily.
Okay, bye...
The three of them looked longingly out the window, but when they touched the window sill, they froze it. Their father gave all three of them gloves to help control their powers.
"The gloves will help," their father said as he pulled them on their hands. "See? Conceal it."
Don't feel it," the three siblings said as they smiled.
"Don't let it show," they said together.
The triplets are now 12, and Anna is nine.
Do you wanna build a snowman?
Or ride our bike around the halls?
I think some company is over due.
I've started talking to the pictures on the walls!
It gets a little lonely,
all these empty rooms,
just watching the hours tick by!
Zane holds out a gloved hand in their parents bedroom with Jack and Elsa standing beside him. "I'm scared. It's getting stronger!" Zane cried as his siblings hold out their hands. Their father steps forward in an attempt to hold their hands, but they quickly hid them again.
"Getting upset only makes it worse. Calm down," their father said soothingly.
"Don't touch us!" Elsa cried as the triplets back away from their parents. "Please. We don't want to hurt you." Upon hearing this, their parents looked at each other sadly. Years later, when all of the children are teenagers, their parents are going on a ship headed somewhere. Anna rushed by her siblings room, glancing back at it momentarily. She shrugged and ran into her parents room.
"See you in two weeks!" she said happily as she hugged her mom. At the door to the palace, Jack and Zane bowed and Elsa curtsied formally.
"Do you have to go?" Jack asks.
"You'll be fine, guys," their father said reassuringly. But a terrible storm happened, and sank their parents ship. No one survived. After the funeral, Anna walked slowly back to her siblings room. She knocked halfheartedly on the door.
"Guys?" she said as she leans on the door.
Please, I know you're in there.
People are asking where you've been.
They say 'have courage', and I'm trying to
I'm right out here for you,
Just let me in.
We only have each other.
It's just you and me
Oh, what are we going to do?
"Do you wanna build a snowman?" Anna asked as her voice cracked and tears rolled down her face. On the other side of the door, everything was frozen. Elsa sat down and leaned by the door, and Jack and Zane sat on their beds, tears cried until they couldn't cry any more. Soon, Zane went with an old man to a place called Ninjago, and Jack left to become a Guardian. Both times, Elsa took Anna to see the trolls to have her memory altered, so now she thought Jack and Zane never existed. This was to help prevent questions, like "Where did Jack and Zane go?" and "Why did they go there?"
After Elsa came back from the North Mountain, and brought back summer, she was happy, knowing that Anna knew about her powers and that she could control it, but sad because she missed Jack and Zane.
Little did they know, that this, was only the beginning...
Like I said, I was really inspired by The Night Ninja's 'Three Winters'. Stay tuned for chapter two!
