Hi. :) Reviews welcome.

Chapter 1

It was 3am in the morning and all Owen Hunt could do was stare at the ceiling. He hadn't slept properly since visiting Teddy in Germany. His conscience kept him awake at all hours of the day. He came back to Seattle depressed and unfocused. Bailey requested that he take a leave of absence and seek help. He shut off all communication with Amelia, blaming her for his falling out with Teddy. Even his mother Evelyn couldn't do anything to get him to talk and seek therapy. To get his mind off Teddy, he went down basement to work out. Intense running on the treadmill and lifting weights.

Suddenly, he jolted up after hearing the doorbell ring. The intense morning workout was so much that he had passed out on the floor of the basement. He quickly hurried up the stairs and looked into the peep hole to see he it was. Fuck it was Megan. Of all the people in the world he really didn't want to face Megan after what happened between him and Teddy. She had always been so critical of him growing up and now with this whole Teddy situation she would surely have him in her line of fire.

"Owen, opening the fucking door! I know you are in there! I can practically hear you breathing on the other side. Open or I will kick down your door!" yelled Megan.

"Hello Megan. What brings you to my neck of the woods," said Owen as he opened the door.

"Thanks for answering all my text messages you dumb dumb. Mom told me everything so now I've come to knock some sense into you," replied Megan.

"Nothing happened Megan, so just drop it," Owen said in frustration.

"Yeah right," laughed Megan, as she dumped her bags in the passageway.

But as she started laughing, Owen broke down in tears. It was the first time since he came back to Seattle that he actually cried. He missed his best friend, but most of all he was devastated about how he left things with her.

"Megan I honestly don't know where to begin. I hurt her, in a way that I've never hurt anyone. I miss her. I want to see her again," cried Owen.

All Megan could do was rub his shoulder and keep passing him tissues. "Well, here's an idea, you could go back to Germany and apologise. Whether she accepts it or not is a different story, but I think closure is something that you need."

Owen stopped crying for a minute. "Would you be willing to come with me?"

"Are you crazy? I'd be ecstatic to go with you. I haven't seen Teddy since my surgery. It's been way too long. Pretty sure she blocked my number because of you," responded Megan. "And Facebook and Instagram..."

The pair spent the morning organising flights and accommodation and Megan sorting out some annual leave.

"Well I kinda packed my bag with some forward thinking. So, I have everything I need in my suitcase. You should probably go pack. The airport shuttle is going to be here tomorrow morning at 4:30am," said Megan.

"Yeah I probably should. Thank you, Megs," replied Owen.

The following morning came, and the pair were well on their way to Landstuhl. The airport had been fairly empty as their flight out to Frankfurt was so early.

As breakfast was being served, Megan started chatting again. "So, do you think Teddy still lives in that apartment that you visited? Oh gosh, I'm actually quite nervous to see her now. But excited too. I'm feeling a lot of things."

"Yeah I'm pretty sure she's still there. It's a gorgeous apartment. It's so, so Teddy," said Owen.

Megan smiled in response.

After landing in Frankfurt, the pair made their way to the train station to catch the express train to Landstuhl. As soon as they arrived in Landstuhl they made their way to the hotel. It was close to midnight and they were absolutely exhausted. Jet lag and just the long day were really kicking in.

"Eeyore, wake up. Let's go visit Teddy at her hospital. Can't believe she's the chief of the whole hospital, that's crazy!" screamed Megan as banged on Owen's door.

"Megan, shut up you practically woke up the whole hotel!" yelled Owen as he opened his door. "Honestly, I need Valium when I go out with you. Let's get breakfast first."

After having one of the best breakfasts in a long time, Owen and Megan headed over to Landstuhl Medical Regional Centre. Upon entering the hospital, they made their way over to the central nurses' station.

"Hi there, do you speak English?" questioned Owen.

"Yes, I do," replied the nurse. "How can I help you?"

"I'm looking for Dr Teddy Altman. I'm an old friend, Dr Owen Hunt and this is my sister Dr Megan Hunt," said Owen.

"Oh, Chief Altman? Yeah, she's currently on leave. She's been on leave for a while now actually, it was unexpected. She's coming back though, that's at least what I've heard. She's definitely still in Landstuhl," replied the nurse.

"Oh okay, thank you," said Owen. Turning to Megan, "why is she not working? I wonder what happened. Seems so unlike her. Should we try her apartment? Or what I think is her apartment?"

"You an idiot? Of course, we are going to try her apartment. Don't be a goose!" yelled Megan as she grabbed Owen's hand to get a cab.

After finding out she was pregnant, Teddy decided to take time off from her very stressful job. Her OBGYN had outlined all her additional risk factors since she's aged well over 35. Since then she hasn't been in contact with anyone from work, rather staying in her apartment and caring for herself, her body and growing a baby. The only time she went out was to visit her OBGYN who worked at a hospital an hour out of Landstuhl. There was no need to go out to the shops to shop for baby items, since she could do all of that online and have it delivered straight to her apartment. For the past few months, she had spent a substantial amount of time revamping her study room and transforming it into a nursery. She opted not to find out the gender of the baby, so was keeping to a white – neutral colour scheme on all the items.

Now that she was eight months pregnant, every part of her body ached and she constantly craved cheeseburgers and fries with a vanilla milkshake on the side. She had just ordered her cheeseburgers and milkshake for lunch and was expecting it to be delivered to her shortly. Feeling discomfort in her feet and legs she went to lie down on the couch. Soon she fell asleep until the doorbell rang. Without hesitating she got up and opened the door thinking it was her lunch being delivered that she didn't even bother looking in the peep hole. Instead of finding the delivery person, Owen and Megan Hunt were standing in front of her. They looked gobsmacked. Their eyes went straight down to her very pregnant belly.
