So for those people that really have no idea who I am, well, this is a redo on practically this series. Yes, I already did this, but trust me this version is better. It makes more sense and is way more thought out. I usually do Star Wars stuff, but this was something I already was working on so why not? Also, this is a prologue, just an idea of where the story begins, don't expect any action.

Trigger Warning: This fanfic isn't all happy sunshine and rainbows, this has to do with war and I am not holding back on anything. Included: Blood, serious topics, hardcore deaths, IDK what else at the moment. And pictures might be used, so...you've been warned

I OWN NOTHING! I only own the storyline (at the moment) Everything else belongs to the Pokemon company. (If I did own it than this fanfic wouldn't a be fanfic honestly :D)

Chapter 0: Prologue

In the darkest depths of the Alola, where only the moonlight lights the way. Where a monotone silence rested. The song of the wind replaying over and over again breezed through the silence. Numerous towering trees, dancing along with the breath of wind. Under the skyscrapers of trees, were patches of tough grass, swaying through the breeze. Occasional stones and leaves decorating the ground. The smell of the rotting overtaking the demeanor. With all this, laid upon a forest. No one dared to enter the place. With rumors of people disappearing and never coming back. And for those who did come out alive and in one piece, well, let's just say that wouldn't last for more than 24 hours. Hiding next to the trees, was an old, abandoned warehouse. It is near to shackles, but still somewhat useful. Useful, to those belonging to the higher ranks of Team Rainbow Rocket. An organization, built on multiple powerful smaller evil groups, that has taken over the world. No one knows why or how Team Rainbow Rocket came to be. Or what exactly their goals are. Rumors have said that they just want to cleanse the world from the 'unworthy.' Or help those in need, humans and Pokemon alike. That they want power, money, or anything else they might gain. Rumors, that's what this new society is built on. The society that Team Rainbow Rocket had forcefully brought to everyone's lives. Team Rainbow Rocket, owning the regions Kalos, Hoenn, Orre, Fiore, Almia, Oblivia, Part of Kanto, Part of Johto, and Alola. How did that happen? Well, the answer is pretty easy to answer.

War

They started a war, to get what they want.

And almost succeeded, if it wasn't for The Elites. The Heroes of the world, Team Rainbow Rocket's worst nightmare. The Elites consist of the gym leaders, Elite Four members, Professors, and anyone else related to that rank. Well, anyone as well. Well, anyone that was. This is War, nothing matters but surviving. The Elites help those in need that are under the control of Team Rainbow Rocket. But also, to gain back the world's independence from these monsters. They take care of those in need. Help many. They fight for those in need. Which, in the end, caused destruction to everything and everyone. As well as a war to happen in the world. Bringing fear to many. So far, Team Rainbow Rocket hasn't been making any major moves to take over more regions. They've been quiet. But, no one knows what is actually being planned. Something very smart, that no one would really expect. That being said, it brings us to the inside of the Warehouse. The inside of the warehouse was a mess. There were pieces of furniture missing, broken floorboards, no ceiling, and tarps everywhere. Leaves occasionally breezing through the warehouse. In the darkest corner of the warehouse, where the moon doesn't shine, stood two figures. One of those figures was a scrawny looking kid. Seemingly in his early teens. The teen had a pale-like skin tone, different scars visibly adorning his pale body. Two zig-zagged marks, each sitting on his cheek-bone. The shadow of his black raven-like hair, covering his dull pecan-brown eyes, unfocused. The teen having all black sneakers, with violet shoelaces. Currently all-black baggy pants. Having a violet handkerchief tied around his right thigh. A brown belt, which has a small rainbow-colored 'R' in the middle. Wrapped around the belt was black barbed wire. As well as small silver-pipped like objects, decorating the outside of the wire. Above all that, was a plain white tee. Above the tee was an all-black collared sweater, (Not grammar mistake, the shirt had a collar) outlined in white. As well as having a small violet shirt-pocket on the top left corner, another rainbow 'R' slapped on top. Underneath the sweater were 2 knives of the same size. Resting onto the back of the jacket, were two Silverswords, crossed from each other. Besides him stood a taller figure. He was standing straight, waiting for someone. He had a formal suit on, with an occasional rainbow 'R' stuck onto his suit. His light skin, fitting perfectly with the suit. While his light brown hair was slickly put back. His dark eyes, gazing into anything that made a single noise. The younger one spoke out.

"Sergeant Giovanni, how much longer will Commander Lysandre take to get here? We have a very tight schedule for tomorrow's events." The taller man chuckled.

"Soon Project ESU, how much longer can we hang off everything?" Asked the man.

"Only 10 more minutes Sergeant. After that, we won't have enough time." Responded Project ESU. Giovanni, the founder, and leader of Team Rainbow Rocket growled in annoyance.

"Damn Lysandre, making me late to my meeting, especially for tomorrow." Just as Giovanni said that Project ESU's ears picked up something, and immediately, he took out his swords. Giovanni's eyebrow went upwards at the teen's action. Then slow clapping started to fill the air.

"I'm surprised you actually heard me, Kid, you've got skills." Out of the shadows came out Commander Lysandre, former leader of Team Flare. He still wore overall the same attire from all those years ago, except that the Team Flare symbol was replaced with Rainbow Rocket's symbol. Lysandre nodded at Giovanni. "Sergeant Giovanni, pleasure."

"Likewise Lysandre, surprised you actually came." Lysandre took the lack of formalities, as a hint to converse normally.

"Well, I'm also surprised that you brought along a kid." Lysandre glared at Project ESU. Project ESU kept looking straight, not giving a single glance towards Lysandre. Lysandre didn't mind the lack of attention and turned back towards Giovanni. The said leader glanced between both.

"He's not just any kid Lysandre, he's Project ESU." Lysandre's eyes went wide, but he quickly composed himself.

"That's it? I remember it being a little older when we started the project, and it's just a prototype. No way it's the real deal." Giovanni shook his head disappointed.

"No Lysandre, Ash here was the only successful prototype," Giovanni explained, "And we haven't been able to successfully copy the success of our project." Lysandre frowned.

"You named it?"

"Of course." Lysandre went silent for a bit, his eyes staring right into Giovanni. But the Leader has had many encounters with more than just a glare, it didn't affect him anymore. Project ESU was staring at Lysandre with a calculating look. The wind no longer existing in the warehouse, being the only sound projecting through the forest. Everything was silent. Eventually, the wind started again, so did the conversation.

"That's not the reason why I am here, is it? To show off your little Lab rat." Giovanni smirked at his Sergeant's words.

"No Lysandre, that is only part of the reason," Giovanni motioned for Ash to move closer, "Let us show you why." Giovanni nodded towards Ash. Ash, being right behind Giovanni, nodded and took out a small box. It was red and had a sky blue outline. Ash opened it and took out a sort of blue like a plant. It had four sky blue petals and had a gradient look from purple to blue on the unbloomed flower. No roots coming out of it. It seemed to be in perfect condition. Lysandre started at the flower.

"What even is that-"

"Shh…" Giovanni hushed. Lysandre scoffed slightly but waited for whatever was going to be shown to him. Ash closed his eyes and focused on the flower. Eventually, the flower started to glow dark purple and opened up. A small light ball flew into the air and started to spread around the warehouse. Lysandre's eyes widened at this unknown power that the child had at his fingertips. Giovanni only gave a small smirk. All the different colors of light started to form into figures.

Flashback:

Giovanni and Project ESU was visiting the head scientist of the organization, checking in on the recent projects they were working on. Project ESU was calmy behind Giovanni, using his short status to hide behind Giovanni and pounce when they are attacking his Sergeant. But was, once again, staring out with his dull eyes. Giovanni, noticing Project ESU's extreme way of just walking around, spoke out.

"You know Project ESU? Since your going to school, we'll have to give you a name other than the one you have. We don't want to reveal you until later on." Project nodded, still not looking directly at Giovanni. The Sergent himself noticed the lack of attention and growled. "Look at me when I am talking boy!" Project's gaze snapped towards Giovanni, ignoring everything around him for a bit.

"Yes sir, my apologies." Giovanni hummed.

"It's quite alright Project ESU, you were cautious for me. But I assure you, that you can let your guard down a bit. This place is highly secured, and this is the lab where you were born. You should be a bit more excited to visit your home." Giovanni joked. The project didn't change his mood at all, only said simply,

"Sir, I've gone completely blind." Giovanni stopped walking and faced Project ESU with a visible furious face. Of course, Project couldn't see the face but was shaking a bit in place. He felt the anger pouring out of Giovanni and felt bad that he caused his boss to have any other emotion other than satisfaction. But, he was also afraid of what the boss would do to him. Giovanni had the power to do whatever he wanted to Project, which usually brings so much pain and a 'clean mind' to himself.

"When did this start happening?" The project was about to answer but was interrupted by the scientist.

"Sergeant Giovanni! A pleasure to finally see you after so much time!" The scientist took off his mask, and glove, and held out his hand. Giovanni grinned ever so slightly and shook his hand with the scientist.

"Likewise Professor Zager."

"Oh, you flatter me with that title!" Professor Zager fixed his tiny glasses and glanced over at his creation. "Oh! Project ESU! Welcome back! It's been a while since you were last here! Look at you! Your all grown up!" Project ESU bowed at the Professor.

"Thank you for your appreciation, Professor Zager." The scientist's puffy white mustache ruffled with thought. He glanced at Giovanni for an answer. Giovanni all but shrugged.

"It had to go through its conditioning once again. He was starting to disobey me again." The scientist smiled and ruffled the Project's head.

"Of course! Happens once in a while when the Programming weakens from his head! And Project ESU, you can call me Doctor." Project ESU nodded. "Good, now, are we just going to stand here and talk, or are you coming over here to see my progress?" Giovanni shook his head and chuckled a bit.

"That's why we are here Professor, shall we?" The scientist nodded and started walking towards the window. Along the way, Giovanni and Project ESU passed by a lot of chemicals and...fire.

"Huh." project ESU suddenly said. Giovanni ignored that comment. When the group made it to the window, Giovanni noticed that on the other side of the window, was a room. It was plain white and had a random test subject in it.

"Information?" Giovanni asked. The scientist picked up a clipboard and started to read off of it.

"Test subjects name: Bianca. Was born in Hoenn. Age: 21. And-"

"That's all, start the test." The scientist nodded. He pressed a green button, and a whirling noise started. The test subject noticed it and immediately started to freak out. Her mouth started to move, but the room was soundproof, so no one really understood what was being said. A robotic arm came out of the ceiling and grabbed the test subject. The other robotic arm stuck a needle in the test subject. It injected a sort of dark purple liquid into her. When the procedure was done, the arm dropped her and went back into the ceiling. "It seems that you might get a sibling." Giovanni simply said. The project kept staring at the test subject. The group silently observed the test subject, waiting for a reaction. A couple of seconds later, the test subject opened it's mouth and seemed to be saying something. "What is she saying?" The scientist shrugged, not knowing the answer.

"She's laughing." The Project explained. Both adults turned towards Ash.

"Why?" Asked the scientist.

"It laughs at your attempts, at the pathetic body you've given it to control." Giovanni glanced back at the test subject just in time to see it turn it's head all the way around. The test subject fell to the ground, unmoving. The adults were silent, but the Project spoke out. "Huh, didn't see that coming..."

Flashback ends

"Hold on, so the test subjects were all failures, except Ash?" Lysandre asked. Giovanni sighed, while Ash had his hand on his forehead, trying to massage his temple from over usage of his aura.

"It obviously seemed to be the case Lysandre, all adults seemed to either kill themselves from the overdose of powers or would explode from the power, not a very pretty sight," Giovanni recalled. Lysandre stared as if the answer were obvious.

"Why not just use more pokemon? From what I remember from the report, you used to use them." Giovanni let out a small noise, a sort of snort.

"We've tried Lysandre, we've been doing this project for years. But you also know of the limited resources from them, don't you?" Giovanni asked. Lysandre then realized that resource shortages are starting to become more of a thing. He rolled his eyes though as if that were the stupidest question to ask a commander from Team Rainbow Rocket.

"Of course I do."

"Good, nice to know your up to date with things." Giovanni stared towards Ash, realizing how quiet he is. More than normal. "Is something the matter Ash?" Ash's head snapped at Giovanni, finally moved from looking towards the warehouses' entrance.

"Sorry Sergeant Giovanni, I don't seem to recognize the term 'Pokemon.'" Lysandre coughed, getting the attention of both people.

"I am sorry, but what?" Giovanni smirked.

"Didn't you hear it?"

"I did! Still, he doesn't know…"

"For years, he has only seen Weapons and humans. Exactly what he was made to do." Lysandre stared at Ash, though there wasn't much to see. Just a kid, that never seems to know what to pay attention to.

"So he's coming around nicely?"

"Of course," He smirked, "My scientists and I've worked very hard to make him the perfect soldier." Lysandre cracked a smile, the first one in the whole night.

"It would be perfect then." Giovanni raised an eyebrow.

"For what exactly?"

"Well, you see, all my spies have either died or betrayed me. And the only one I know of who is the top, and best at listening, is-"

"You are not taking him, he has his own mission here to take care of. If everything goes according to plan, I'll let him come with you." Giovanni interrupted. Lysandre stared back at Ash, and for the first time, Ash's dull eyes stared back. Lysandre didn't take his eyes off of him.

"What kind of mission?"

"A spy for our school." Lysandre snapped his eyes back at Giovanni. Having a small glint of fear in his eyes, but it went away quickly. Lysandre composed himself just as quickly as he had his reaction.

"Pardon?"

"You heard me Lysandre, he's going to be a spy at our school. Not only would it help him be more...human for future missions, but build a reputation." Giovanni said confidently. "But, this leads to what my scientists and I've realized, we need more kids like ash. Also, the younger test subjects lasted more than the older ones. But, we can't kill all of the next generation, can we? Though it would be a great sight to do so, children are very annoying." Lysandre glared. "We need more powerful soldiers, younger, more intelligent. Not only would those kinds of soldiers help with our cause, but also help with the project." Lysandre scoffed.

"Good luck with that Sergent, No kid with a brain cell would volunteer for this kind of project, I know I wouldn't," Ash jumped up from behind Giovanni and took out a sword. It is pointed at Lysandre.

"Careful what you say, Commander, Sergeant Giovanni's still your boss." Reminded Ash. Lysandre slightly growled but stepped back.

"No Ash, I remember that."

"Good." Ash put down his sword, and went behind Giovanni again, facing the entrance. Lysandre turned towards Giovanni and saw that bastard smiling at the incident.

"And what are you looking at?"

"Just the beautiful scene bestowed upon me." Giovanni chuckled. Lysandre snarled.

"Control it, you don't want me killed Giovanni! Replacing me wouldn't be advised." Giovanni stared at the furious Lysandre.

"No Lysandre, control your fear. You don't want to step over those boundaries. Remember, there are far more capable people to replace you," Giovanni stepped closer to him, "You aren't that important, you know why you have a place here." Both men stared at each other. Lysandre towering over a bit. No words were exchanged, and only there breathing and occasional breeze could be heard. Who knows how long they would have been there if it weren't for Ash speaking suddenly.

"Sir, apologies to interrupt your...staring contest, but we're out of time." Giovanni stepped back. But Lysandre chuckled, having no real humor behind

"You gave it a sense of humor?" Giovanni, chuckled the same way.

"No, he somehow developed that on his own. Probably the cost of being around my 'humorous' scientist." Giovanni glanced at Lysandre slightly."Goodness, how time flies doesn't it? Well, let me just remind you that you have to be on time for tomorrow." Giovanni turned around and started to walk away, leaving Lysandre with his own thoughts. Ash followed slowly behind Giovanni ready to protect his leader at any cost.

"Wouldn't dream of it," Lysandre said sarcastically. Before Giovanni was out of Lysandre's sight, he said,

"Say hello to your daughter for me," Lysandre growled and slammed his fist against a wall. Giovanni chuckled at the behavior. Ash kept walking forward.

That's all boys and girls, hope you enjoyed this re-write. Please consider reviewing for any ideas, or things I should work on. Don't be embarrassed to do so, I've had someone tell me on one of my other fanfics to work more on my grammar. And I understand that my grammar sucks, it always did. And I didn't get offended or anything, I just laughed at that comment. But, because of this worldwide virus that's going on, I have 3 requests;
1) Please stop buying so much toilet paper *Sweatdrops* Sounds ridiculous, but I am talking to those people that have a room full of them and keep buying. Y'all better leave some for us, other people.
2) Wash your hands :)
3) Please don't be dumb and go to the beach or some random place to go on vacation, this is serious, and if you guys get sick, you're putting everyone on the line around you.
