January 12th
Before we start, it's best that I introduce myself just in case if something happens to me. My full name is Jaune Miles Arc and I have the weirdest job in the world. I work as an "exterminator", although that isn't my real occupation, although I'd say it's a fairly close description. You see, me and my friends deal with the odd, the paranormal, and the supernatural. Oh, and I forgot to mention we also deal with things that don't come from Earth or any other place. I'm basically an everyman. I'm a negotiator, a soldier, a warrior, and even a plumber (well technically). I also deal with stuff that you would see in a science fiction book or a fantasy story but I already somewhat explained it in the first few paragraphs. I usually deal with the following:
Cryptids.
Monsters.
Aliens.
The Multiverse.
Conspiracy Theories.
And etc. (There's too much to explain with this)
You might think that I've had plenty of experience but to be honest. I've only been doing this for a few years or so. This job is dangerous, exhausting, and not very rewarding. It's not that the money is bad but this job will make you see shit that'll traumatize you for your entire life and what sucks is when normal people are stuck in the crosshairs. Sometimes you can save them but sometimes we can fail. Losing people, either your comrades or normal civilians can really do a number on you. On the bright side, I travel a lot. The best place I've been to is hands down, Point Pleasant, West Virginia. If anyone is reading this, you guys should visit during the Moth Man Festival. The people are pretty nice and open plus Moth Man himself wasn't as scary as people say he is.
It turns out that he isn't the first Moth Man or the Moth Man that terrorized Point Pleasant back in 1966 or 67. That was his father. I know that's sort of cliché but I didn't really care. Also don't believe the Moth Man Prophecy movie, the one with Richard Gere. The book is alright but the movie is inaccurate. There are several Moth Men with each of them having differing origins. The First Moth Man was supposedly an evil spirit that had been referenced several times in Native American Legends. This Moth Man is extremely confusing because it had the ability to give anyone who has seen it supernatural abilities (usually premonitions). So I did some research and my employers said that evidence suggests that there were two Moth Men that was terrorizing Point Pleasant. The spirit and the current Moth Man's father. The current Moth Man's father was a mutated bird. How did it get mutated ? Well if you researched the Moth Man, it was first sighted in an area which the locals called the TNT area which was a former WWII munitions plant. There was hidden area in the lower levels of the plant that contained chemical waste and boom ! The Second Moth Man and the most popular one was born. But wait, if it's a bird then shouldn't Moth Man be called Bird Man ? Well the documents I read reported the chemical waste contained dozen of remains from animals including Moths. The bird likely ate one of the remains and the moth's DNA was into the birds own. But how did it have children ? Well some birds can be two genders both male and female so it's likely that's the reason on how Moth Man was able to have children. Several children in fact, one stayed behind in Point Pleasant and became it's new protector while the rest are wandering the world. I don't know what they're doing now but I hope they're doing well. So what happened to the First Moth Man from the legends ? It's in hell or at least that's what I believe.
There was a legend of a shaman that sacrificed their own life to protect their family from the First Moth Man and sent it to hell before dying though the shaman cursed the spirit so it would be chained into the darkest pits of hell and for it's name to be used to benefit others. The curse worked because there hadn't been any more sightings of First Moth Man and the Moth Man Festival brings a lot of tourists to the town benefiting the townspeople. How did my organization know about these ? Are we immortal beings trying to protect the mortal realm ? YES. HA HA HA just kidding. Well some of our members are immortal but the reason we have a lot of info is because the organization is ancient. I mean really old, so old that I don't even know how old our organization is but I do know the organization was made on December 1st because we have an annual anniversary celebration but that's it. As for me, I am sadly just a mortal man that just got caught up into this world and I am loving every second of this. My life was pretty damn boring before all this. Sure sometimes you feel that your life is so absurd that you don't even know what's real or not and begin to question everything you know but I don't care. I just go with the flow.
Oh I almost forgot about this so why did Second Moth Man attack or terrorize people ? Well it was confused. I mean when you suddenly transform from a bird to a moth like monster I think you would be confused too.
All right that's about all the time that I've got. I still have a ton of stories but I have to investigate something about flashing lights and some redheaded girl with silver eyes swinging a big ass scythe and nearly shooting someone in the head and nearly started a forest fire. Even though crazy ladies aren't my jurisdiction but I've got to question her just in case if she's connected to the flashing lights. I'm sorry if the blog is all over the place but this is my first time doing something like this. I'll try to make the next one readable and longer or something. Goodbye.
