A/N: I had this idea a few nights ago and thought it'd be hilarious if I made all the Marvel characters exist in the Star Wars universe, so this was born. Hope you enjoy!

Prologue: The Things You Never Expect To Happen
Loki Laufeyson had never expected to find himself in this particular situation. Fighting his boyfriend's best friend with a lightsaber while the rest of the Rebel Avengers and the Empire watched. While his master egged the fight on even while doing nothing himself.
"I know there's still good in you, Loki!" Steve shouted even as their blades clashed, green on red. "You can stop this!"
"I...you are wrong, Skywalker!" Loki replied, parrying. "There is no light left in me!"
"We can all see it, Loki, all of us," Steve said, leaping up into the rafters and deactivating his blade. Loki followed him with the Force. "Bruce sees it. Clint sees it. Nat sees it. Tony sees it. I see it. Thor sees it. We know you're not the monster you claim to be. Come back."
"Do not, Lord Loki," the Emperor warned. Loki could feel the mind control starting to work its way back, stronger than before. All he had to do was let go of the lightsaber and it'd be over. Better yet, kill the Emperor with it and then let go.
Loki was so uncertain. That had been the way he lived for the past...gods, had it really been three years? Three years trapped in this other reality, other universe, while the real Jedi and Sith and Rebel Alliance and Empire figured out how Earth and Asgard and everything worked. Three years of uncertainty, confusing loyalty divides, mind control. All for what? One decision. One choice. One path to follow. One way to get home.
"Loki!" Thor's voice, desperate, pleading. "Loki, I know what to say now! I did not know what to say three years ago when all this began, and now I do! Now I know!
"Loki, I love you!"
I'm not going to do author's notes at the beginning of the chapters for this one, but rather at the end. This is a teaser scene for much later in the story. Have fun reading and please review!
