Total Drama High School
Chapter 1: Dorm Mates
Trent POV
I guess I'm pretty excited to get back to school. I've never been the type to hate on school. I've always gotten good grades and had good relationships with everyone. I hop into my car and start driving. I feel like we're in for a fun year at Spring Valley High School. It's a boarding school. Luckily, my dormmates are awesome. I've known them forever, since preschool, I think. Bridgette and Geoff are there. They're super chill, at least when they're not making out, or something like that. DJ's a really nice guy that always looks after the group and pretty much everyone else. There's also Duncan. He's the one that breaks the rules and skips class. He's always in trouble. Pretty sure he has feelings for Courtney, though. She's the exact opposite of him. She always follows the rules and goes by the book, always getting straight A's. Of course, there's Gwen. I've liked her for a little while now. Probably since last year, our sophomore year. This year's our junior year. She's really awesome. She's super chill, sweet, and it definitely helps that she's hot. As for my interests, I'm into music. I play guitar and am really into soft rock and old time rock n' roll. You know, the Beatles, the Doors, Elvis, that kinda stuff. Duncan's into a little harder stuff, but he also plays guitar, even though his is electric. He's constantly blasting music and rocking out. That's one thing we bond over. Geoff can pretty much vibe anywhere. He's the party guy. Overall, I'd say we all get along really well, even though we argue from time to time, and Duncan and Courtney are something else. Should be a fun year.
Geoff POV
Aw, yeah! Time for another year at Spring Valley. Should be fun. Then again, I find everything fun. Sure, my grades are kinda low, the worst in our friend group, actually. Even Duncan's grades are higher, and he doesn't go to class half the time. I love my friends, man. We've known each other since like, preschool or something and haven't left each other since. Now we all go to the same boarding school and live together. I live with Duncan, Trent, and DJ. Duncan's probably the most fun, but Trent and DJ are also super are chill and fun to vibe with. Then there's the girls. Courtney's always making sure everyone's doing their homework and stuff. Gwen's really sweet even if she seems harsh, and how can I forget about Bridgette? She's the best girl I've ever met, and we've been dating since the end of last year and still going strong. I start my car and begin driving to school. I do live pretty far, but so does everybody else. Spring Valley's practically in the middle of nowhere. I've got a giant ten-seater in case I gotta drive some folks home from a party or something. Trent's got a car, too, but him and Bridgette are the only others that do. Courtney usually takes the bus to school and DJ usually takes the subway to school. Gwen drives with her older brother to school. Duncan has a motorcycle, of course. Guy lives on the edge. I love Duncan, man. Also Bridgette, DJ, Gwen, Trent, and Courtney, too. I can pretty much vibe with any one of them at any time, especially at parties. I'm into hype music, I guess, but I'm not as passionate about it as Duncan and Trent. Those guys are really into their music. I just get in the mood when any fast paced song comes on. I know all the music that everyone else likes, except Courtney. Her parents make her listen to classical music. God, that sounds like torture. Glad I don't live with her. Well, I do, but that's at school. Eh, whatever. I'm here to have fun, man, and I'm glad I've got such good friends and a caring girlfriend.
Courtney POV
Finally, it's time for another year at Spring Valley. I know most people despise going back to school, but I love it. School's a good place, it's just that so many people fail to understand that. It prepares us kids for our future. Well, I shouldn't say kids. We're juniors now. I've always been a good girl. I've always gotten straight A's, and it's too bad my friends haven't. Trent, Bridgette, and DJ also have good grades. Gwen's pretty good about it. Duncan and Geoff need a little more work. I'm usually the one in the group to help the others with their homework and all that. I was kinda brought up that way. My parents are strict and want me to end up like them. For the most part, I follow their rules, but I still have a sense of individuality. For one, they tell me to listen to classical music, but I'm really not interested in it. I prefer some other tunes. I'm excited for school. I really love my roomates Gwen and Bridgette. They're really sweet and are always there for me. My guy friends are also awesome. DJ's the most responsible, well, aside for me of course. Geoff's the party guy and loves to have fun, but he's very nice and a caring guy. Plus, he and Bridgette are a great couple. They're so adorable. Duncan's really annoying, though. Don't even get me started on him. He's so annoying, irresponsible, and unorganized. I wish he would take things seriously sometimes. I get on the bus and make way for school. I always say hello to the bus driver. He's a nice guy. I try to be friendly with everyone, especially adults. I really can't wait for school, even if it is a long drive.
Bridgette POV
Man, it's sure to be a fun year. I've got lots of good friends in my dorm and a really sweet boyfriend, Geoff. The school's also a pretty welcoming place. I hang out with six other people, two are girls. I've known all of them forever, and we can pretty much hang out at anytime, anywhere. That's how close we are. There's Gwen and Courtney, who I live with. Gwen's really sweet, but kinda shy. Luckily, we're there for her, and she's there for us. She's always been kind of an outcast, but I love her for that. Courtney's like all of our moms. She wants us to stay out of trouble and follow the rules, and she always makes sure we're caught up on our homework. Plus, her and Duncan argue a lot, but I think they're made for each other. I try to keep that to myself, since the guys would make fun of Duncan for it. Duncan seems tough, but he's actually one of the sweetest guys I know. He wants to be seen as a bad boy, but I know how nice he really is. DJ's also really sweet. He's there for everyone and is one of the kindest guys I know. I'm really grateful to have him. Trent's adorable when he stares at Gwen. I know he has a crush on her. I can tell when guys have crushes. He's also really good at the guitar, and so is Duncan, even though they have somewhat different music tastes. Geoff's my boyfriend, and a damn good one at that. He'll always be there for you and will definitely give everyone around him a good time. He's infectious, I swear. I'm really thankful for my awesome friends and good school. The school's actually really big. It's got private dorms for eight people each. We've got seven, though. Not sure if someone else will come and join us girls, but I'll be happy either way. I'm a positive person. I jump into my car and throw my suitcases in the back. I'm ready for another eventful year.
Gwen POV
Well, I guess we gotta go back to school sometime, huh? I actually don't hate school all too much. It's pretty good once you think about it. I mean, I've got my friends to help get me through it. I share a room with two other girls and live in the same dorm as four guys. We've all known each other forever, so it's great to have such a tight bond with them. If I had to bunk with anyone, it'd be them. Courtney's a great friend. She's kinda bossy and uptight, but she's sweet and really does care for us. Bridgette's really chill and friendly to everyone. She has to be one of the most loyal out there and also likes to surf. She's also dating Geoff, who's really fun and upbeat. He's kinda like the party guy. Duncan's the bad boy. He likes to break rules and rock out. He's into music and likes classic and hard rock from the 70s and 80s. DJ's a really sweet guy under a large body. He's the definition of a gentle giant and loves animals, just like Bridgette. Trent's into his guitar and likes to play acoustic songs. I've been keeping this from everyone, but I've actually got a small crush on Trent. Man, I can't wait to go back and talk to him and all my other friends. My grades are also pretty good, mostly B's. Occasionally I'll get a C and sometimes get A's, which Courtney doesn't really approve of. Sadly, I have to ride with my brother to school since I don't have a car. I should've just asked Geoff if I could hitch a ride. He lives close to me. Eh, whatever. Moment's gone now. Gotta suck it up and go with my brother. Trent and Bridgette also have cars, but Courtney and DJ don't. Duncan has his motorcycle, which I'm kind of jealous of. At the same time, it's really stupid. Still, I can't wait to see them all. We're all super different, but get along like family. Bridgette's the chill, normal girl. Courtney's the Type A, organized girl. DJ's the sweet guy who looks out for all of us. Trent's the cool, cute, musician guy. Duncan's the bad boy with a heart, and Geoff's the party guy who loves to have fun. I'm sort of quiet and love to draw. I don't know how we get along, but we always have, and I can't wait to see them again.
DJ POV
Ah, it's that time of year again. Time for school. Unlike a lot of others, I don't mind school. I get good grades and try my hardest, but I'm not a tryhard like Courtney is. She cracks me up. I love Courtney, and all my other friends. We're super close and even live together at Spring Valley High School. I live with six other people, Courtney included. Geoff's a real fun guy and loves to have fun and party. He's dating Bridgette, who's really chill and likes to surf. She loves animals just like I do, so we often talk about that. Duncan's also a fun guy and loves partying. He's really into rock music and punk type stuff. Trent loves music, but he's into softer stuff, and I'm pretty sure he likes Gwen. She's kinda shy, but she's really sweet and a kind person. Plus, her drawings are awesome. I love how happy she gets when we compliment them. Courtney's probably the least laid back out of all of us, but she's got a big heart and truly does want all of us to succeed. She runs for class president and all that stuff. I really do love all my friends. I'm so glad I have them. I love to work with animals and care for people. Maybe I'll get a job, or something? Who knows? With every school year comes new opportunities for fun moments with your close friends. I also really love my family, especially Mama, so it sucks that I have to leave them for an entire school year. Still, I can't wait. Since I don't have a car, I usually take the subway to school, and I'm doing the same this year. I take my seat and begin thinking about the moment where I first see my friends. I haven't seen them in so long. I bet Courtney's gonna be the first one there. Duncan or Geoff will probably get there last. They're the more irresponsible and wild ones in the group, and I love that. We're all unique. Here's to another awesome school year.
Duncan POV
Yeah, I'm pretty pissed that school's starting again, but I guess it's not all bad. After all the shit I've been through in life, school's nothing. I got some cool people to back me up, too. I've known them forever, man. Since preschool. Luckily, we all got a dorm together, so that makes school better, and they always put up with me. I'm the one that ditches class and breaks the rules. I've also been to juvie a couple times, but trust me, I'm nothing compared to the guys over there. Let's get this straight. I don't really like my classes. Hell, I don't even go to them half the time, but Courtney manages to talk me into it. She's one of the people in my dorm. There's five others. I sleep with the guys, of course. I've got nicknames for everyone. There's Six String, but his name's really Trent. He plays guitar like I do, but he's more into acoustic. I play an electric, and you best bet I'm bringing it with me. He likes the Beatles, the Stones, Elvis, the Doors, and all that kinda stuff. I like classic and hard rock. Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, Guns N' Roses, Motley Crue, you know the drill. Then there's Chicken Little, or DJ. He's a real bro, let me tell you that. He'll always be there for you when everyone else isn't. He is really soft, though, hence the name. Still, love the guy. The last guy I room with is Geoff. We call him Party Boy. The name's pretty self explanatory, I mean, guy likes to have fun and party. He's also super chill and dating Malibu. Her real name is Bridgette. She's real chill and likes to surf. Overall, she's really friendly. Pasty's also chill. She's kinda quiet, but she's a sweet girl. Her real name's Gwen, of course, and she likes art. The last one's Princess, or Courtney, as she tells me. I really should change the nickname, I mean, she's a real queenie sometimes. She gets straight A's and always wants me to follow the rules. I think she kinda digs me, though. What can I say, I've always had a thing for her, too. Anyway, I'm kinda running late. I jump onto my motorcycle and speed off with my long hair flowing behind me. I decided to grow out my hair. I used to have a green mohawk, but now it's long with green streaks. I keep thinking about random guy stuff until some cars honk at me. I check behind me and realize the light was red, but who gives a shit? I couldn't care less. I got a fun year ahead of me.
