Snippit I thought of while at work, I do, in fact work at a pizza joint. I thought of how nice it would be to have a speedster working there.

Let The Chaos Ensue!
I finish putting the last rack of dough in the back to proof, then glance at the clock. Not the one on the wall, but the one on my phone, the one that has time down to the very millisecond. And just like clockwork, the very instant it hits 10:30 am, the front door chimes and Wally West strolls in.
"Hey Ash, what's up?" The redhead smiles and walks behind the counter, hanging his keys on the hook and washing his hands.
"Oh the usual routine," I say. "I just finished the dough, give me a second to make the list. While I'm at it get started on the sauce."
I grab a pizza box, sharpie, and a length of receipt paper, then go into the walk-in to take catalog of what needs to be done. I do this, knowing full well that the sauce is already done by the time the door closes behind me.
The boss hired this kid about a month ago, he's nice and really fun to work with, but he's quick. Too quick.
My coworkers somehow haven't noticed his inhuman ability to make pizzas in a blink of an eye, get tasks done the second you look away, and is the most impatient when taking customers orders.
I exit the walk-in and he's waiting outside the door with the sauce.
"Just put that in the back," I say. "You pick up fast, when did the boss put you on mornings again?"
"Last week, I wanted to spend more time with Artemis."
"And Artemis is your girlfriend, right?"
Wally smiled and nodded. "Yeah, we just moved here last month. Came in to get pizza, left with a job. The boss is a super nice guy."
"That he is," I say.
…
Throughout the day, well everyday, it's apparent that he's faster than he should be. A full rack of prep pizzas made in the time it takes me to wipe down the tables… Not on my life.
A sleeve of boxes folded in under five minutes, by himself? Not on my co-workers lives.
A delivery in under 10 minutes? Not on the boss's life.
And last of all, 40 lbs of cheese grated all in under 15 minutes? Not on his life.
Artemis and I moved here about a month ago, we stopped in to grab some pizza at this local joint, got talking with the owner and he out of the blue offered me a job. Said he had several employees just leave for various reasons and needed more staff.
I took the job of course, with my speed the work is a cinch.
After a month here, I like all of my co-workers, everyone is super chill. Though this one girl, Ash. She's assistant manager and I'm now opening with her four days a week, she's really observant. I'm talking super level observant.
Definitely on to me, not sure if it's a bad thing or a good thing. Especially because she's been having me do tasks I can get done quickly, and purposely disappearing while I get them done via speed.
She seems suspicious, though oddly okay with me. Only thing I'm really worried about is Artemis finding out I use my speed at work.
She'd have my head.
Review or don't, it was just a blurb I thought I'd publish in light of quarantine boredom.
