This sensation I feel…

Of falling.

Of being cast into the deep, into the midst of dreams.

Who am I?

I cannot comprehend.

I must find the answer,

Buried in the unknown.

I can't see myself,

Nor can I find myself.

I must seek the answer,

Hidden… in the depth.

Air rippled around him as he tumbled from the sky. He could feel the pull of gravity, the snarls of the monster above the surface. The deafening, crushing roar of air, and its growls… calling him- taunting him. He was being pulled towards it, the land of mortals. He has become them once again.

Talons of wind grasped his body as harsh air currents whipped across his face. Nothing was slowing his fall. He was going to crash soon. The tightening sensation of the end of a long dream overcame him, as he remembered the cruel ways of reality. The vision came to an end, but its heavy warning remained in his mind.

Loki was no longer plummeting towards the ground. A cloudy, airy perception slowly faded from his fingertips, he had returned to the cold, hard, floor. He didn't want to wake up, as he held on for dear life imaginary the veil shielding him from the real world. He hated it there, and he always would. He wanted to die.

"Wake up… now. This isn't something you want to miss." Said a gruff voice, as he emerged into this miserly little thing called "life".

His brother Thor stood above him along with many other Asgardian women. Loki was somehow handcuffed to some random chair… with people in the background staring. Some weren't. Some definitely were. Other than that, there wasn't much action, so he assumed it was fine to fall back into his slumber once again.

"Come on. He's coming." Thor nudged.

He assumed that meant Odin, the All-father. Well, that sucked. It meant they were going to do something to him, instead of just chaining him to some random piece of furniture for eternity as they all know it.

That's fine. He's experienced worse.

"Loki!" His brother finally growled.

"I'm up, now be quiet." He sighed, as he sat up.

His brother groaned.

"I'd like to inform you that our father is angry"

"Your father." He pointed out.

"That's exactly what makes me worry over your sanity, brother."

He laughed. Sanity was a complicated thing, something he did not possess. Well, at least most of the time, anyway.

"Please shut up, Thor." Loki retorted.

The big guy flashed him a glare of annoyance.

"You are in no position to give me orders, you know." He muttered.

"Yes, keep reminding me. I'm sure I'll thank you later if there even is one."

"The All-father will soon arrive. I suggest we end our quarrels here and then." One of the Asgardian women cut in.

Loki felt a twitch forming in his hands, but he couldn't move. He realized he was stuck. He realized there was no way out of this.

"You're going to be experiencing some differences in your body… so it'll take some getting used to." Thor spoke up once again.

"I hate you." He growled.

"Then good, it's only me. I'm glad you don't hate everyone else."

"I do."

His brother paused.

"No." He suddenly spoke so solemnly.

He clenched his fists as he fixed his emotional state.

"And whose fault is that?" he snapped.

"You know full well that it was your actions-"

"Congratulations, sixty-nine times and still counting. Stop saying that."

"Loki, it was 15 years ago. I'm sorry-"

"I DON'T CARE THAT IT WAS 15 YEARS AGO! IT HAPPENED AND THERE'S NOTHING YOU CAN DO TO CHANGE THAT!" He suddenly roared.

"Enough!"

Odin strode in calmly through the entrance.

"Father, I wasn't able to-"

Aha.

"Well played, Thor. It looks like you've been doing your job well as a spy." Loki said in an amused tone, when he suddenly realized what his brother had been doing.

"Who sent you?" Odin demanded abruptly, going straight into the conversation.

He let out a chuckle.

"So, this is what it is. It's an interrogation!"

The All-father slowed down for a moment, trying to de-escalate the situation.

"This is no game, Loki. Do you realize what you've done?" He calmly said.

He did not answer. Stupid question.

"My son, you killed hundreds. You staged an attack on Midgard and tried to conquer it-" Frigga sighed.

"I REGRET NOTHING! Mortals are made to be ruled, and I simply came along!"

His brother let out a long sigh and shook his head.

"Then you miss the whole point of ruling, brother." Thor said.

Loki made a snort or ridicule.

It wasn't like he could do anything, he was helpless, chained to some chair, and all of his family members bombarding him with statements of how wrong he was.

He felt no remorse, not like there was anything wrong with his actions anyway. His father was a conqueror who killed about a million times more people than him, just because he made a small attack on a realm as pathetic as Midgard, they began making all this fuss. Loki knew exactly why: He was a Jotun, not part of the Aesir. He was never equal in his father's eyes.

"From what I understand, you became hired by some other deity, got a whole army, and harmed thousands of innocent mortals. Why?"

It had started once again.

Deep down he was smirking, gaining quite some pleasure at the thought of Odin finally not being able to suck all answers out of him. The All-father was at last not all-knowing.

The old geezer stood up to his full height, looming over him as he cast him a hopeless look. There was hidden emotion he wanted to express, but he… couldn't.

"I cannot overstate my disapproval. Loki shall face execution for his crimes." He said stoically.

He laughed. A manic laugh, a grin of an entity whose mental endurance had been stretched far too much.

Thing was, Loki couldn't care less about the proceedings.

"You think this is funny? Do you not feel any repentance for what you have done?"

Something told him that Odin's tone was now more desperate than angry.

"All this fuss for a couple hundred of worm-brained mortals. I wonder." He grinned.

Thor grimaced in the corner of his vision.

"You will never be worthy to rule" Odin spat.

"Says you, Odin. What makes you so sure you don't fall into that list?"

Rage flashed in the All-father's eyes as he paced around the room. People in the back were watching everything they did, witnessing their conversation. Odin glared at him.

"I see." The corners of his mouth slightly twisted upwards, after a long pause.

"What do you see, old man?" The sneer had disappeared from Loki's face, as he abruptly rounded up upon his father. He didn't like how paranoid he had suddenly sounded.

"You never seem to learn… do you, Loki?"

He narrowed his eyes at him, as his expression faded into a deep scowl.

"You're becoming predictable." He gestured to some guards. "Proceed."

With that, Odin and Frigga left the room, leaving Thor hanging.

"I'm sorry." His brother whispered meekly.

It didn't take long for Loki to realize what was happening. A better but worse fate at the same time. He wished he hadn't leaked out his fears… no. He feared nothing. Odin simply manipulated him.

He seethed at everyone in the room through gritted teeth, anger overcoming his brain.

"You will not do this." He growled firmly, locking his eyes on one guard. The young boy appeared intimidated, but did not back down. Whatever, not like there was anything he could do in this position.

Thor had faced this kind of justice many years ago, and Loki did not think he enjoyed it much. Some Asgardians simply weren't worthy, some never made it out of Midgard alive in the correct form. He didn't believe that he would be any exception.

The mere thought becoming lowly mortal disgusted him, he didn't understand why they wouldn't just let him die.

More and more warriors- einherjar crowded into the room where he was tied. Thor placed a firm hand over his mouth.

"You know, I'm not overly fond of what follows either." He sighed.

Loki felt a heavy pressure heaving it's way into his chest, as somehow the chains bound him tighter. His mind was already fleeting away. Already.

He stared at everyone, most of them nervously keeping watch over him.

"I won't be seeing you for long, brother." He said with a venomous tone as his supposed 'last words'.

"You're wrong." His brother calmly said.

The last thing he saw was the intense burn of fire in Thor's lightning blue eyes, as the dark void enclosed his vision.

He was fading into his dreams again. But this time, it was different.

It wasn't a nightmare nor a stroll in midsummer.

It was the distant, cold, long dream of life.

His life.

So... uh...

I noticed quite a couple of you liked the previous one.

I know this seems like a whole different story, but I promise most of the stuff will be the same in the next couple of chapters.

Just saying, a whole bunch of it is still going to be Norse mythology, just saying, but I think I'm more on track with MCU now.

His physical age is indefinite.
