Tizona would never claim to have a good start to this life. In fact, it was a pretty bad start all things considering. It was filled with falls and failures. More than she could even count. But the thing that always stayed true was her heart. Doing what she felt right, despite her weird sense of logic when it came to emotions and feelings. It somehow all worked out in a strange cosmic way that led her here falling from the sky in a ship packed with inmates, and a fool clown. She didn't even mean Luffy with that statement!
All she could do as the ground came closer and closer was laugh. If there was anything more twisted about her, it was her sense of humor.
"Tizona-Chan! Why on Earth are you laughing?!" Ivan shouted as they kept their decent. She darted her gaze back to the Okama, larger than normal face twisted in a rictus of fear and panic.
"Because Ivan-love we're living life! NA-hahahaha!" She cackled as she held tight to her bucket hat before unraveling her hair. The color of the day was black in honor of her foolish brother thinking that his siblings wouldn't risk life and limb to protect him. She already heard Luffy shouting for Ace.
"LUFFY! SAM!" She glanced over to the execution platform, and an anger that she had slowly but surely been getting a hold of as she got older erupted in her stomach. The thought that they could do such a thing to her brother was excruciating. What Ace must be feeling at this moment. She let her gaze roam over the battlefield. She saw men with the Whitebeard tattoo laid out on the ground. His nakama. It was unforgivable. They didn't get to treat Ace like this because of his shitty father!
"OI! RESPECT THE GENDER, IDIOT!" Tizona shouted as they kept falling looking away from the massacre, a fierce determination glowed in her soul. This wasn't how their family ended. She was the only one that could worry her brothers with life threatening situations! Luffy didn't count, he was…Luffy. Technically speaking, we all get into these situations, but Ace and Luffy seem to have a special talent to cause mayhem equal to the world ending. Sam commented in her head. Tizona ignored it, she needed to focus.
She gripped both Ivan and brother in her hair, drawing them closer to her body. They were closing in on the ice, and she needed to do this just right. The trajectory of the fall had them going straight for the hole that was blasted in the solid water, leading to the ominous sea beneath it. It was pure luck that the crater was there at all.
"Jimbei! We're gonna need some rescuing! Think you can do that?" Tizona shouted to the fishman.
"Un! I was already planning it!" He grunted over the wind whistling in her ears. She started the count down in her head 3, 2, 1.
The cold water enveloped them and she felt her strength drain from her body. Tizona still wasn't 100 percent from rescuing her impertinent little brother from Impel Down, but she was at least better than Luffy at this point. He would need her at his back, she knew this with that second sense that was always waiting to pipe up and pester her.
It's the same way she knew to plead with Kuma at Saboady. Tizona forcefully suppressed the shiver that wanted to itch down her spine. She would need to stick to Luffy like white on rice. The thought of her losing both of her brothers caused a sickness to build in her stomach. Sabo was already lost to the wind, she knew he was alive. Just like he knew she was when she was with the Donquixote Pirates for a few years. It was an unbreakable bond of knowing each other was alright. That didn't mean he wasn't going to get a dressing down for worrying her for so long. Even she was considerate enough to let them know she was still alive. Not that it was on purpose, the fact still remained that her twin was inconsiderate.
She felt strong arms grab her and drag her to the surface of the boat. Tizona had to wait a good minute to get a hold of her faculties. She took a deep breath and just focused herself.
This would be her waving a red flag in front of the World Government. They would set the biggest bounty yet, that was a fact. She wasn't afraid this time though. Her nakama would get stronger, it was that feeling of knowing that she still listened to.
We have this. The clones echoed in her head. They were all in on this one, something that hadn't happened yet. It would be interesting how this would work out for them.
We can stand on equal ground now, Tizona. This is different than Minion Island. We go full throttle and don't stop. Look at how far we've come with Luffy as our captain, we are representative of the Strawhats strength. Zoro will have our ass if we mess this up. Sam was the one that spoke up to assure her. She always was the one with the plans, though some were completely asinine. Watch it, Rich Girl.
She had been hiding under the disguise of Sam this entire time. The person who seemed to have eaten the Hair-Hair fruit. When in reality it was just her using the multiplication properties of her own Devil Fruit. As well as having complete command over her body.
Rowan had been key in that development; of having more of control, that is. She still couldn't thank the woman enough for giving her the information. Warmth and sadness filled her as she thought about her, even now.
She took another deep breath holding it, and releasing it.
Tizona hadn't been idle with the Double-Double fruit. She worked with her clones when ever she got the chance. It wasn't easy with such a close-knit group, but at the same time telling them would put the entire crew in danger. The last thing they needed was another Robin situation. Though she thought that Robin and Zoro had their own theories about her.
You mean that they both think we're crazy, and change personalities more often than Brook asks to see girl's pants? Sam snarked in her head and she ignored her.
Hearing Luffy starting to move, she knew it was almost time.
"Hey, Captain. I wanna go all out." She told him solemnly. "What do you say, can you handle another fugitive of the government on your crew?" Tizona asked blankly as she listened to the swords clashing, guns, and bombs erupting.
"Shishishi, Zona's really stupid. You're free to do what ever you want with me as your captain. Let's get Ace back!" Her heart felt full with love and emotion. That was Luffy though, he cut to the heart of everything.
At any point in time he could have asked her to use her entire power, but never even thought about it. Could have told her that the only way to be a real crew member was to be her strongest possible self. But he knew. He knew that something inside her would break if she had to keep running.
Leaving her brothers the first time had been hard enough. To do it again, even for just protection, would destroy her. The delicate balance she'd created with all the vibrant emotions she held within her would be wiped out in a single move if she wasn't ready. He had respected her this entire time. Let her make the decision, and this would be her repaying every shred of patience he had with her.
"Alright then! Let's do this! Ace seems to have gotten himself in quite the situation!" She laughed as they both got to their feet to search the battlefield for their wayward brother. Tizona's fingers were already twitching in anticipation. They were calling her.
Long Authors Note Incoming:
-My two year training arc is finally complete! (Yes, this is what we're calling it..) Hopefully, I can surpass the last story with this rewrite. When I say rewrite, Sam decided that she wanted to go inside out and upside down with character development. Powers, and just about everything else?
-If you like the story or want to be updated when I post leave a favorite or follow. If you have a comment leave a review. I welcome anything constructive, or just a "Good chapter! :3"
-Questions will be answered through PM unless I feel that it will add to understanding of the story. I do like to thank you guys at the end, because most of you are just pure cinnamon rolls that make me curl up and blush in irrational happiness.
-This story will be posted in batches. I'll post the first three, then wait a little.
Tell me a good amount to have before posting a batch? Should I just do it in arcs?
So let's start Tizona/Sam's Journey to the One Piece world!
