Adrian sat in his greenhouse, utterly alone. His heart clenched, Linda couldn't love him, Kendra had given Will his sight and well of course he'd want to see the world again, she'd given Magda her family too, and Adrian couldn't fault any of them, he wanted to leave this place too. He was so happy they went. His spirit had wilted with the roses, and he couldn't stand this place any longer.
"Kyle Kingsbury, Adrian" a whisper disturbed his brooding, he turned to his left sharply. Before him stood a teen, green eyes piercing his soul. He stumbled out of his chair posturing himself towards the boy who made him feel like he was talking to Kendra all over again.
"I apologize for Kendra's actions," said the stranger in a regretful tone. "I was caught up with some problems and Kendra likes to play Lady Fate." With a swipe of his hand a new light sprung around the garden, the wilted roses gained their brilliance and the despair seemed to vanish from the air. "The past is the past, I can not change that, but I do believe you'd be better off with this lesson any how, hm?"
He was beckoned forwards by the man, his body moving on it's own accord. "You Kyle Kingsbury will do great things," He was shocked to feel the warmth of lips pressed to his forehead, golden strands of light surrounded the pair, and when he caught himself in the reflection in the glass pane behind them his throat caught at the site of himself. Kyle Kingsbury, the only lasting mark, a bare tree on his arm. " I find that our scars are extremely important, I'll see you again , sooner rather than later I assure you."
