Welcome Home, Nikki

It was nighttime in Gwen's apartment, and Gwen was sitting on the couch in the living room watching TV with her adopted daughter, Nikki. They met each other at Camp Campbell, and the two formed a bond after having only a counselor-camper relationship. Their bond started to form after Gwen had a talk with Nikki about having her first period and really strengthened after Gwen saved Nikki from falling from a tall tree.

When it was time for the children to come home, Gwen saw the way that Nikki's mother, Candy, was treating her daughter by ignoring her and treating her like she was a burden. It made her blood boil to the point where she broke Candy's nose with a punch to the face, and she and Nikki worked to get her legally adopted so that she could live with Gwen. After all the papers were done, Nikki moved into Gwen's apartment and went to a school that was nearby.

Currently, the two were watching a movie on TV. It was a fantasy-adventure-comedy movie, Nikki's favorite genres of movies. Nikki was dressed in feety pajamas, while Gwen was dressed in a long-sleeve purple shirt that matched her dark purple pajama pants. Gwen wasn't really paying attention to the movie, as she was only watching it to make Nikki happy. Gwen looked at the time and saw that it was almost 10 at night. Gwen was about to turn off the TV and tell Nikki that she needed to go to bed, but before she could Gwen felt something soft pressing on her side. When she turned, she saw that Nikki had already fallen asleep and was snuggling up on her side.

"Awwww…," Gwen cooed before she took out her phone and took a couple of pictures of a sleeping Nikki, before putting an arm around her.

"Heh…love ya too kid," Gwen whispered, before she kissed Nikki on the forehead, picked Nikki up, walked to Nikki's room and tucked her into bed. Nikki hugged Gwen's arm, preventing her from leaving. Gwen sighed with a smile on her face before petting Nikki on the head, which relaxed her enough for Gwen to free her arm. After doing so, Gwen let out a quiet yawn and turned back to her room to get some sleep herself.
