It has been 5 years since Anne has last seen Gilbert, Now the gang is all reuniting in Avonlea. Anne who is taking over the teaching position for miss stacy as she is retiring and gilbert who is thinking about working with Doctor Ward, But what happens when gilbert is engaged but its not Anne. How will Anne take it? will they get back together?

5 years ( A Shirbert Love Story)

Anne was sitting at queens college along with her best friend Diana, who was also packing things in her bag.

"I can't wait to go back to Avonlea!" said Anne as she was packing a few of her belongings into the suitcase that she has received from Marilla at one Christmas.

"I know right, so are you going to be seeing Gilbert anytime soon?" asked Diana as she pulled a little smirk on her face, Anne giggles

"we haven't seen each other since the kiss that happened 5 years ago," said Anne as she was thinking back to the memory that she had 5 years ago that happened on the stairs of queens college. It was also a happy day for Anne because that was the day that she was accompanied by her best kindered spirit Diana Barry

It was a sunny day at queens college and anne was packing her suitcase after she has realized her feelings for Gilbert. Meanwhile Gilbert was running down through Charlottetown trying to reach Queens College, he was due at the university of Toronto but after the long and aggravating speech that Diana has given Gilbert on the train.

As gilbert arrived at the Queens College, he saw anne standing there with her curly hair that was once pulled up into a updo, Gilbert looked at Anne in awe as she walked towards him

"Gilbert! What are you doing here?" Asked Anne as she sat her luggage down while walking towards him

"Anne I'm sorry that I ignored the letter," said Gilbert as he cupped Anne's cheek then he pulled into a kiss making Anne pull back

"Anne. Is it true that you have feelings for me?" Asked Gilbert, Anne smiles and kiss Gilbert back

After Anne was thinking about that Diana gave Anne a tap on the shoulder.

"Are you ready?" Asked Diana

Anne smiled wide and nodded her head

"Ready as I'll ever be," said Anne as she held Diana's hand and the two girls laughed out of queens college as they were going to meet the other girls at the train station in Charlottetown

This was going to be a long yet exciting trip that Anne was looking forward to
