Chapter 1: Brave New World

Musutafu, Japan

Year 2142

Musutafu was by no means a hotbed of crime or villain activity, mostly due to the fact that the city was home to U.A., the most prestigious hero school in Japan, if not the planet. However, it still had its share of the occasional two-bit thug looking to make some quick cash. No city as big as Musutafu went without crime, and if it did, that just meant you weren't looking in the right places. At least, that's how it was until a month ago.

The day when the Slime Villain attacked a shopping center, taking a kid hostage. The day a kid charged in, trying to save her friend, despite being powerless.

The day All Might seemed to take up residence in Musutafu.

Since that day, crime has been at an all-time low. Criminals may be desperate, but very few of them were stupid enough to believe that they could get away with anything while the Symbol of Peace was in town. The ones that were that stupid were usually so low tier in terms of forethought and quirk power that they were almost always caught before All Might ever got involved.

As such, the heroes who lived and worked in Musutafu long before All Might came here now did little more that patrol and intervene when necessary.

"Remind me why she's here?"

Speaking of patrolling heroes…

"Awe, is someone afraid I'm gonna steal their spotlight again?" Teased a blonde woman, too busy waving at the excited civilians she passed to pay any real attention to the man asking the question.

The woman in question is Yu Takeyama, better known to the public as Mt. Lady. She is a voluptuous young woman who has purple eyes with white pupils. She has long, creamy blonde hair reaching her waist, with two shorter strands curled to frame her face which are parted slightly to her left. Her costume is composed of a purple and pale tan-colored skintight bodysuit, which is accented with orange stripes. The outfit overall does nothing to hide her figure, which seems to be the point, given her flirtatious personality.

"I could care less about your attempts to expose yourself to the press." The man responded, rolling his eyes behind a wooden mask.

This man was Shinji Nishiya, the hero known as Kamui Woods. His physical features are hidden by a wooden helmet and face mask, but he has a relatively short, well-built man, only slightly taller than Mt. Lady. His costume consists of a blue jumpsuit with wooden armor on the knees and boots. Unlike Mt. Lady, he seems to carry on his patrols with a hint of serious determination, scanning the population for threats, rather than fans.

"Expose myself!?" Mt. Lady responds, shocked at the accusation. "Just because the people know a good body when they see it doesn't mean-"

"Will you both stop it!" The third member of their group spoke up. "This is a patrol, not some therapy session for you to sort your crap."

The speaker is a very tall, muscular man of a wide build with slightly tanned skin. He has a square jaw which juts out a notable amount, small eyes and short white hair, spiked out behind his head. His outfit consists of matching belt and head and arm bands with black and yellow strips. He wears an open, blue vest and navy pants, showing how his muscular frame eclipsed both heroes behind him combined.

"I apologize for my behavior, Death Arms." Kamui Woods says, lowering his head. Mt. Lady simply crossing her arms and looking away.

"Why are we even out here?" She asks. "It's not like something's gonna happen."

"Heroes are supposed to be vigilant, Mt. Lady." Death Arms responds.

"And I understand that, but you realize that it's the middle of the day, on a Tuesday, and need I remind you that freaking All Might himself is in town." Mt. Lady points out, listing her grievances with her fingers. "Honestly, I feel like we're wasting our time here."

"I will be the first to admit things have quieted down since All Might arrived a month ago." Kamui Woods conceded, only to speak up as Mt. Lady was about to object again. "However, even so, All Might is just one man. To put the responsibility of solving all crime in the city just because he's here is not only rude, but also unethical."

"Kamui's right rookie." Death Arms said, turning around to face his "team" for lack of a better word. "As for why you're here, if someone was to try something – knock on wood –"

"Hey!" Kamui Woods shouted as Mt. Lady rapped her knuckles against his arm.

"- then odds are that they planned to run across him, meaning they might have something to counter super strength."

"So, I'm here to be the overwhelming muscle." Mt. Lady deadpanned.

"In so few words, yes." Death Arms confirmed.

"Um, guys…" Kamui Woods spoke up.

"I still think we don't need to be out here." Mt. Lady continued. "Even if we are trying to take the load off of All Might, there are still dozens of heroes in Musutafu, surely, they can miss three, or at least one."

"Guys." Kamui Woods tried speaking again.

"That doesn't sound like hero talk." Death Arms refutes, crossing his arms.

"I'm not trying to sound like I have no intention of being a hero." Mt. Lady defends, putting her hands on her hips. "What I'm getting at is there's no need for so much effort for so little payoff."

"Am I really the only one noticing this?" Kamui Woods says to himself.

"Payoff shouldn't matter!" Death Arms shouts. "We're here to protect the people! Just because nothing's happening now, doesn't mean nothing will!"

"Then call me when it does!" Mt. Lady yells, sticking her pointer finger in Death Arms chest. "Until then, let me make this clear: nothing is going to happen today!"

"GUYS!" Kamui Woods shouts, getting between them.

"WHAT?!" Mt. Lady and Death Arms roar in unison, turning to the wooden hero.

"That!" Kamui Woods points upwards.

High above the city, what was once a clear, sunny day became heavily overcast in a matter of minutes. The clouds were so thick that the world around them visibly darkened. It wasn't nighttime levels of dark, but people did start turning on flashlights and store signs began lighting up.

"That's… not normal, right?" Mt. Lady asked.

*CRACK*

The darkness was suddenly illuminated with a flash of blue, then red, and then blue again. The clouds were filled with bolts of lightning matching the flashing colors. Said clouds also began spiraling, meeting together in a spiral shape. Thunder echoed throughout the city with each bolt. The wind began to pick up speed, each clap of thunder seeming to make it blow faster and faster.

"Evacuate the civilians!" Death Arms ordered, having to speak up above the thunder as the lightning increased in intensity. "Whether this is the work of a villain or not, they aren't safe out in the open!"

"Then what do we do?" Kamui Woods asked.

"Then we find what's causing this storm and stop it if we can." Responded Death Arms.

"And how do we find the cause of a storm like this?" Demanded Kamui Woods.

As if in response, all the lightning that had built up in the storm finally met in the middle of the spiral before everything stopped. No lightning, no thunder, no wind, just nothing.

"Was that it?" Mt. Lady asked.

*BOOM*

As if in response to the heroine, a single clap of thunder screamed throughout the city, this one much louder and more powerful than the ones following it. The heroes and civilians were left reeling, clutching their ears as windows shattered around them. As the noise receded a single, massive bolt of purple energy shot down from the spiral formation of the clouds, impacting the ground across the city from where the heroes were, kicking up a large cloud of dust and smoke.

In the following moments nothing happened. Nobody moved an inch as the gathered clouds began to fade away, allowing sunlight to shine upon Musutafu once again. All the people could do was watch the massive dust cloud that had been spawned from a storm unlike any other.

Mt. Lady was the first to snap out of it. "So, shot in the dark here, but I bet that's where whatever's responsible for the storm is." She said, pointing at the dust cloud.

Her words shook the other heroes out of it. "Kamui! Mt. Lady! You two go over there and find out what's going on. I'll check on the civilians here and catch up with you." Death Arms ordered.

"Understood." Kamui Woods responded, sprinting for where the energy touched down with Mt. Lady right beside him.

Kamui Woods shot her a look. "Nothing's going to happen today, huh?"

"I hate you so fucking much." She responded, earning a short laugh from Kamui Woods.

Meanwhile, at the scene of the impact.

The place was once a public park, the kind where you bring your kids so they could run around and exercise. Luckily it was closed due to construction on a new addition, because it was nothing more than a crater. Any structures that were present are now either scraped from the force or melted from the heat, trees were uprooted and blown back, and everyone in the neighborhood wanted a look. Within moments the area of impact was swarming with people curious to find the cause or others trying to get photos of the scene.

The police arrived a minute later, and shortly got the crowd under control. With a perimeter set up, they began to survey the scene, looking for clues as to what exactly happened while the crater itself was still obscured by the smoke.

"What have we got?" asked one detective.

This tall man with short, black hair and somewhat-rectangular black eyes is detective Naomasa Tsukauchi. He was wearing a dress shirt, tie and trench coat outfit.

"Well sir," Said one officer. "We don't know. There was a storm that lasted a few minutes, shot out some crazy lightning, and fired off one last bolt that hit here before it faded away."

"Do you think this was just a freak weather thing?" Questioned another officer.

"No." Tsukauchi responded. "This was too unnatural. This was the work of a Quirk, I'm sure of it."

Before anyone could respond, a voice cried out. "There's something in the crater!"

Tsukauchi's neck snapped towards the voice before making his way to the crater as the smoke finished dispersing. What he saw was shocking. "Are those… kids?" He asked.

At the base of the crater were two bodies, both looking to be fifteen at the oldest, and both looked like they had been through a meatgrinder. Their bodies were covered in tattered clothes and what looks like broken armor, though the one with white hair seemed to have more than the other. The other one, this one having bright red hair, was less damaged, but upon paying closer attention, Tsukauchi realized that his wounds were slowly closing.

'So, the red-haired kid has a regeneration Quirk.' He thought. 'The fact that it's active means he's alive, but I can't tell about the other kid from here.'

Tsukauchi turned to give the order to help them, only to be interrupted by the sound of shifting rubble. Turning back to the crater, Tsukauchi saw that the kids were slowly standing back up, and because of that, he was able to get a better look at them.

The white-haired kid was wearing the tattered remains of a navy-blue jumpsuit under the shattered remnants of an armored breastplate with a faded symbol he cannot make out on the right plate. He clearly wore shoulder plates at one point but the right one was cracked and the left one was missing. The gloves were bloody and ripped to shreds and the boots and leggings were torn apart. The most shocking part about the boy's appearance, however, was the number of wounds on him. His entire left pectoral was one massive bruise, the number of cuts on his hands suggested that the blood on his gloves most likely belonged to him as opposed to anyone else. Finally, his legs were covered in bruises, as if they were rapidly hit against a brick wall for the past hour.

As for the red-haired kid, his wounds were nowhere near as grievous. It would seem that once he woke up, his regeneration Quirk sped up. The first thing Tsukauchi noticed was the small bump on the right side of his forehead, like a tiny horn. As for his clothes, they were torn to high hell, but they appeared to have once been something akin to a white dress shirt, a red vest, red slacks and dress shoes. Odd choice of clothing for someone his age, much less someone found in a smoldering crater, but a certain friend of his always wore clothes three sizes too big so maybe fashion is relative. Like the other boy he wore armor along his forearms and shins, all cracked and broken.

"Get the med team here now!" The officer Tsukauchi was talking to earlier shouted to the rest of the police force. "We've got injured civilians!"

Pain.

It wasn't a new sensation, but it was still an unpleasant one.

Every joint, every muscle, and every nerve were screaming at him to stop, to rest and recover, but he couldn't.

The fight wasn't over yet. With that in mind, he stood up on shaking legs. Looking around, he scanned the environment, his vision blurry from the impact. He was able to find his target, however, when a red blob entered his vision. Taking a few deep breaths as his vision focused, the boy spoke, his voice dry and raspy.

"Hehe, I guess your plan failed Chikara. You didn't escape me."

The red-haired boy now identified as Chikara took a look around and dusted himself off. "So it would seem." He responded in an annoyed tone of voice.

Checking over himself, Chikara had a realization as he examined his body before looking over at the other boy and examining him the same way. After a moment of silence, he began laughing.

"Well it turns out it was a good thing that you followed me Verdax!" He said between laughs.

Verdax looked down at himself, seeing the condition of his body. He was unphased by the wounds, but there was a bigger issue to be had.

"What the fuck is this Chikara?! Is this your idea of a trick?!" Verdax shouted.

Recovering from his laughs, Chikara responded. "Hardly you idiot. If you hadn't noticed, I am suffering from a similar situation."

Chikara pointed to the small horn on his head. "The Quirk I got from that girl was originally supposed to reverse the timeline of a biological organism." Chikara took a deep breath and assumed a thinking pose. "Even when using it with my other Quirks, it appears both of us were not saved from such an effect. I you hadn't followed me and broken my focus, I might not be more than atoms in the wind right now."

"What are you talking about?" Verdax demanded.

Chikara was silent before glancing at the ridge of the crater, seeing a group of people in uniforms. "You there!" He shouted, pointing at the one in a trench coat. "Where are we right now?"

The man was surprised to be called out by Chikara, but that was nothing compared to Verdax's surprise.

"What? Why are there people here? I thought…" Verdax trailed off before turning back to Chikara. "What's going on? What did you do!?"

Chikara ignored him. "An answer, today if you please." He called to the man in the trench coat.

"Musutafu, Japan." He finally responded, shaking off his surprise. "Both of you should be still, we've got medics-"

"And what year is it?" Chikara asked, surprising everyone again.

'Year?' Verdax thought. 'Wait, he's not saying we…'

"2142, now if you'll both-"

"You see Verdax!" Chikara shouted with a smile on his face. "Thanks to me, we have found ourselves back in time! Roughly 81 years if my math is right."

"You expect me to believe that bullshit!?" Verdax roared. "That we just went back in time and in doing so somehow became teenagers again?!"

"Honestly I don't care what you believe." Chikara said, waving off Verdax's rage. "I did, however wind up not going as far back as I planned, so I guess I'll have to try again. Luckily, I still have plenty of power for one more jump."

As he says this, Chikara's horn starts lighting up, red lightning arcing off of it. "It's been fun Verdax, try to have some fun while you can."

'No!' Verdax exclaimed in his head. 'He's not getting away!'

Ignoring the startled voices from the crater's edge, Verdax charges forwards, toughing out the pain as his Quirks activated, blue lightning arcing off his bod as they did.

In an instant Verdax was behind Chikara with him in a choke hold.

"You're not going anywhere!" Verdax growled in Chikara's ear as he grabbed the horn. "You need this to make your escape work, right?"

Not waiting on a response, Verdax started squeezing on the horn, much to Chikara's anger.

"Let go you idiot! If you don't, we'll both be-"

*CRACK*

For the second time that day, the park was the center of an explosion that rocked the town. This time, when the dust settled, the two were separated and knocked down again, and the only damage was Verdax's charred hand and the patch of cauterized skin on Chikara's forehead. The horn did not regrow from the damaged skin, and for the first time in that encounter, Chikara genuinely looked angry.

"Do you… have any idea what you've done!?" Chikara roared as he stood up. "Now I'm stuck here! In this time!"

"Good." Verdax responded, standing to face him. "Now you can't chicken out again."

Chikara growled. "Okay hero, you want to end this? Fine. Let's end this war."

The two stared each other down, waiting for the other to make the first move. All the while the people on the crater's edge make their way to them in an effort to stop what's coming. At the same time, the man in the trench coat left to make a phone call.

Just before the officers reach them, Verdax and Chikara vanish from sight and reappear in the middle of the crater, fists meeting and releasing a whirlwind that knocked the officers back and out of the crater.

"Round two, Chikara!" Verdax shouted.

Dagobah Beach

"All Might, what was that?" Asked a 14-year-old girl with forest green hair and freckles.

The person she was talking to was a skeleton of a man in baggy clothes under a heavy jacket. He had shaggy blonde hair and sunken eyes with blue iris. This was Toshinori Yagi, better known to the world as All Might. Of course, nobody would know that looking at him. All Might was a mountain of a man with flowing hair and a shining smile that comforted all. On the other hand, if this man were caught smiling around a middle school girl someone might call the cops, or a doctor if he was coughing blood again. But rest assured, Toshinori and All Might are the same person. Secret identities and all that.

Back to the girl and her question. The girl, wearing a loose blue t-shirt and shorts with red running shoes, was Izumi Midoriya. The girl who risked her life to save her friend from a villain in spite of being Quirkless, an act that inspired All Might to choose her as a successor to his power and title as the Symbol of Peace. As for her question, the two of them were training along the beach due to her school closing for the week due to gas leaks. Just minutes ago, they had witnessed an unusual storm that dropped a massive lightning bolt somewhere in Musutafu. Toshinori, dawning his All Might persona, was about to investigate when a second explosion originated from the same place, followed by sounds of combat.

"I do not know Young Midoriya." All Might said, frowning. "If I had to guess, a new villain has appeared and is combating heroes as we speak."

The Symbol of Peace turned to look at his protégé, seeing stars in her eyes as she looked up to him. "You want to see the fight and take notes on Quirks, correct?" He asked as she nodded vigorously.

"Very well, let us be-" All Might began.

*A phone call is here!*

All Might stopped and fished his phone out of his pocket. As he did so he could see Izumi's deadpan face.

*A phone call is here!*

That phrase repeated with every ring and All Might could feel Izumi's respect for him die a little each time it did.

*A phone ca-*

"Yes, hello?" All Might asked in his heroic voice, trying to salvage his pride.

'All Might, where are you?' The voice on the other side asked.

"Tsukauchi? I was on my way to the fight downtown, is something happening?"

'I'm not sure of the details, but the crater from that massive bolt of lightning had people in it.'

"Civilians?" All Might asked.

'No.' Tsukauchi responded. 'It was these two kids. Both were pretty injured, but one was healing on his own.'

"A regeneration Quirk?"

'One of multiple.' Tsukauchi spoke seriously.

All Might froze. "What?"

'Like I said, I don't know the details, but from what bits of their conversation I could here, these two, whoever they are, spoke like they had multiple Quirks each and a history together.'

All Might was silent. Yes, 80 percent of the planet's population was born with Quirks, and some worked in ways that gave off the impression that the person had more than one Quirk, but to actually, physically have multiple Quirks was impossible. Unless…

"Tsukauchi…" All Might began.

'I know what you're gonna ask, but we have no means of confirming if they are connected to All for One.' Tsukauchi spoke grimly.

All Might's fist tightened around the phone, the casing creaking at his barely restrained rage.

"All Might?" Izumi asked from where she stood beside him.

Snapping out of his rage, All Might looked down and Izumi's worried eyes and collected himself. These kids, maybe they were connected to All for One, maybe not. Regardless they were a clear and present danger to the city and had to be stopped. However, on the off chance that they were, in fact, connected to that man…

"Young Midoriya, there's been a change of plans." All Might said somberly, kneeling before the young girl. As he did so, he plucked a hair from his head. "I am going to that fight alone. If I come back, I will tell you all about it."

All Might sighed as Izumi grew more and more concerned by his words. Holding out the hair, he continued. "However, if I do not return, eat this hair."

Tears started leaking from Izumi's eyes. "W-what are you saying? What d-do you mean i-if you don't come back?"

"Unfortunately, I don't have time to explain right this moment. If I don't come back from this fight, eat my hair and find a man by the name of Gran Torino. He'll be able to pick up your training where we left off."

"A-All M-m-might…" The tears were really flowing now.

All Might hugged the girl before him. "I have faith that one day you will be the greatest hero ever. Now please Young Midoriya, run home and keep your mother safe. I'll call you when it's over."

All Might tilts the girl's head up. "You don't have to worry, Why?"

Izumi smiled through her tear-stricken face. "Because you are here."

All Might smiled. "Exactly. Now go!"

All Might watches as his protégé runs off before turning to the sounds of conflict across the city.

'All Might?' Tsukauchi asks from the phone, startling the hero. 'We're evacuating the civilians but the fight's still going on. We can't stop it alone.'

"Tsukauchi, sorry, I got sidetracked. Don't worry, I'm headed there now." With that, All Might hung up and ran as fast as his legs could carry him.

Chikara flew back, slamming into an eighteen-wheeler, punching a hole into the trailer. Meanwhile, Verdax, wreathed in blue energy ripped a light post out of the ground and swung it as Chikara flew out of the hole he'd created, launching him down the street. Verdax discarded the broken lamp and followed his nemesis, taking off in a bolt of lightning.

Chikara plants his hand in the road, stopping his momentum and righting himself as Verdax appears above him, fist raised. Chikara doges right as the blow hits the street, splitting the ground and sending shockwaves through the ground. In response, Chikara lashes out with his foot, kicking Verdax across the face and slamming him into a wall. In an instant, Chikara is in front of him and punch to the gut followed by a knee to the face.

Acting quickly, Verdax grabs the remains of Chikara's shirt and slams his forehead into his nose, the bone within cracking and giving way to the sudden blow. Chikara cries out in pain as Verdax lands a right hook, sending him flying back a few feet. Chikara stands up straight, sighs, and realigns his nose with a sick snap.

"Healing Quirks are so convenient, wouldn't you say?" Chikara asks smugly. "Though, I guess you wouldn't know, considering…" he trails off, gesturing to all of Verdax's wounds.

"I don't get it." Verdax growls. "When we started this fight, you were taking serious damage, but since we came here, it feels like I'm not hitting you as hard as I should. What changed?"

Chikara stared at him blankly. "You cannot be serious. Do you really not know? Whatever. If you're too stupid to understand what you're doing wrong, then you aren't worth explaining it to."

Verdax growls. Frustrated, he shoots his arms forwards and calls forth… nothing. "What?" He asks confused.

Chikara bursts out laughing. "Wh- was that supposed to do something? Phffffffft HA HA HA HA HA!"

'First my attacks aren't doing the damage they should, now Blackwhip isn't working. And I haven't gotten Flash Step to work again either. What is going on!?'

Distracted by his thoughts, Verdax doesn't notice Chikara appear in front of him and land an uppercut to his chin, sending the hero up and down the street, crashing into the roof of a minivan, and flattening the entire thing.

Through his pain-addled brain, he only had one thought. 'Now Float doesn't work either. What the fuck do I do!?'

Seeing a shadow above him, Verdax rolls off just in time to avoid Chikara crushing him and the van. Verdax stands himself up as Chikara pulls himself from the wreckage. Not wasting an opportunity, Verdax rushes forwards, launching a flurry of blows against the villain. Chikara met this with his own series of attacks carefully designed to counter every one of Verdax's movements. Finally, Chikara throws an extra haymaker, slamming into Verdax's skull and knocking him to the ground.

"So disappointing." Chikara said as he planted his foot in the small of Verdax's back. "Back in our time you were such an even fight, but here, now? You're less than nothing."

"Shut up." Verdax grunted.

"Honestly, this is just sad. It's like watching a bird repeatedly slam into a window because he knows it leads outside, but he can't properly perceive the glass in his way."

"Shut. Up."

"If your predecessors could see you now, they'd be so disappointed. You're the strongest out of all of them and yet you lasted the shortest amount of time."

"I said SHUT UP!" Verdax yelled.

With a sudden burst of power Verdax spun over, grabbing Chikara's leg and slamming him into the ground. Standing back up, Verdax takes the leg and lifts Chikara up and slamming him down again behind him. He repeated this process five more times, each time digging a groove in the road. After the fifth slam Verdax spun him around and launched him into the air with as much energy as he could muster, the bones in his arms creaking from the force. But as a result, Chikara was now in the air, higher that some of the buildings. Taking the opportunity Verdax thrust his right hand in front of him and activated another one of his Quirks.

Fire erupted from the ground at Verdax's feet before coalescing into a ball in his hand. The flames grew in intensity, towering over him until the changed into a deep blue color.

At this point, Chikara saw what Verdax was doing. He could not doge in midair, so he called on one of his powers.

"BARRIER!" He cried as a hexagonal energy shield surrounded him.

The ball extended on both sides, becoming a bar of solid flames that began scalding the flesh on Verdax's hand. Of course, he was too focused on the enemy before him to register the pain. Verdax reared back the flaming weapon as blue energy began wrapping around him in response to his anger.

"HELL SPEA-" Verdax Roared.

"Lacquered Chains Prison!" A voice interrupted.

Before Verdax could finish his attack, he found himself bound in thick… tree branches?

'This is new.' Verdax briefly thought as he realized that the flames dispersed and his advantage against Chikara was lost. "Let me go!" He cried.

"I cannot do that, young man."

Verdax turned to see Kamui Woods hanging from a balcony with one hand while the other kept him bound tight. "Your irresponsible actions and illegal Quirk use stop now."

"You don't understand, I need to stop him!"

"We already have your partner under control." Kamui Woods responded, looking upwards.

"He's not my – did you say 'we'?" Verdax asked.

Chikara was ready to counter the attack from his opponent when the tree man had intervened. As he was about to drop the barrier and take advantage of the situation, he suddenly found his shield gripped by two massive, purple hands.

"I got him!" shouted a feminine voice that Chikara assumed belonged to the person holding him.

"Hardly." He countered. "You think this is the first time a woman has gotten handsy with me?"

"You might wanna save the comments bub, you're in enough trouble as it is." Mt. Lady replies. "Your little Quirk joyride is over."

"Oh, I don't think I'm done. Not by a long shot."

With that, Chikara dropped the barrier. As Mt. Lady's hands rushed to fill in the gap, Chikara grabbed one of her thumbs and pulled back, breaking it out of its socket. As she cried out in pain Chikara jumped off her palm and performed an axe kick to her face. The impact shattered her cheekbone and slammed the titanic woman into the side of a building.

"MT. LADY!" Kamui Woods shouted as the woman's body slid to the ground, shrinking before falling over in the street, unconscious.

"God damnit!" Verdax yelled. "Go help your friend, let me deal with Chikara!"

"I'm not letting a civilian fight a villain!"

"For fuck's sake we don't have time for this! It won't be long before-" Verdax was cut off by a blur of red lightning that slammed through Kamui Woods's arm, destroying it and trapping Verdax in a bundle of wood. "That. Before that happens."

Kamui Woods fell to his knees but refused to vocalize his pain. His arm was in the process of re-growing when a hand grabbed his collar, pulling him off the ground to come face to face with Chikara.

"You people need to learn to stay away from things that don't concern you." He said quietly.

"CHIKARA!" Verdax shouted as he finally broke off the remaining bindings. "Your fight is with me!"

Chikara shrugged. "Very well." He then backhanded Kamui Woods into the building beside Mt. Lady's body, where he fell to the ground and didn't get back up. "I have no particulars about what order you die in, so volunteers are encouraged."

Charged with their respective Quirks, the two launched forwards, ready to resume their battle.

Verdax lead with a right hook, which Chikara dogged and countered with a punch from the left. Verdax dropped to the ground and tripped Chikara, landing three consecutive spin kicks to the gut and launching him into the building Mt. Lady crashed into earlier. From there Chikara braced himself on the wall before using it as a launchpad to catapult himself into an axe kick. Verdax raised his arms to block, pain shooting through his body as the attack connected. Verdax was slammed into the ground and Chikara backflipped a safe distance away.

"I felt both your radial bones snap with that kick." Chikara told him matter-of-factly "Face it hero, this is not a fight you will win."

"I have to!" Verdax shouted as he stood up one more time. "If I don't then those who came before me will have died for nothing!"

"They DID die for nothing!" Chikara retorted. "You're just too stubborn to see that!"

"I'M GONNA KILL YOU!" Verdax roared, blue energy exploding in power around him.

Verdax disappeared, but before he ever reappeared, Chikara thrust his fist out.

"Too slow." He muttered.

Verdax suddenly reappeared, three fist-shaped indents in his body before hurricane force winds launched him, the bodies of Mt. Lady and Kamui Woods, and the cars left in the street were suddenly blown back down the road. Verdax hit the ground five times before rolling to a stop next to the two heroes.

"I… I won't – ACK!" Verdax tried to speak until he coughed up a large amount of blood.

"Do you see now, Verdax? This is the gap that exists between us. That will always exist between me and every wielder of your bastardization of my Quirk." Chikara told him as he closed the distance.

Verdax said nothing. All he did was take a few deep breaths and clench his fists to stop the shaking. Once he was centered, he tried to stand up. It was a slow process, the broken ribs made it hard to breath and the arms hurt to put weight on, but he did it. Verdax stood, albeit shakily, between Chikara and the unconscious heroes.

He sighed in response. "You heroes always stand back up. Is this the part where you give some speech about how you'll 'defend the people'? Or maybe you'll tell me that I might 'strike you down but there will always be another'."

Chikara leaned forwards, cupping an ear with his hand. "Well? I'm listening. What's today's dying hero speech?"

"Fuck you."

Chikara laughed. "Well you're not the first one to start with that, but points for authenticity."

"There is no speech Chikara. Just truth. I AM going to kill you. Even if I die in the process. I will not, I cannot fall until you no longer exist. That is what I promised them, and God as my witness I will carry it out."

Chikara frowned as he straightened himself. "A nice sentiment, but futile." He walked over to a large garbage truck. Grabbing it with one hand and holding it above his head, he tuns back to Verdax.

"Your little "lineage" ends here and now. Goodbye Verdax." Chikara threw the truck.

With a loud crash the truck slammed onto where the heroes are before the fuel line ruptured and exploded.

Chikara stared into the flames for a moment before speaking up.

"Impressive. Honestly, I didn't think anyone in this time were as fast as me or Verdax." Chikara said turning around. "Well, not as fast, but you came pretty close. Good job."

Crouched over the bodies of Kamui Woods and Mt. Lady with a shaky Verdax next to him was a massive, muscular blonde man, with his hair combed into a large 'V' shape. He wore a white shirt stretched tightly over his frame with cargo pants held up by a leather belt. But his most prominent feature, was the wide smile across his face.

"Everything will be fine young man." The figure said to Verdax.

"Why?" He continued as he stood and faced Chikara.

"Because I am here!" All Might finished.

Next Time on All for the Future: Symbol of Peace V.S. Dominating Force

AN: So, today I learned never to write and post at 5 in the morning. You make mistakes and your work suffers for it.

Some edits have been made, and stuff still needs addressing.

First, yes, this is an OC centric story. Is he gonna be overpowered? Nope. Actually, the opposite. I did have to change his powerset a little bit since I realized how stupid some of the things I had planned were, but it should be better now. I won't go into details because that would be spoilers, but trust me, Verdax is starting from square one.

Secondly, Chikara. Yes, he is supposed to be stupidly powerful, that's the point. His connection it Verdax, if you haven't figured it out already, (But I'm sure you have. You guys are smart) will be explored later.

Lastly, Izumi Midoriya. Yes, Deku is a girl in this story. I don't know how well people respond to that idea, but honestly, I find the idea of Deku being this shy bookworm girl who works her way to become basically Superman kind of fun.

This story was not initially written as a FemDeku x OC story, but a friend of mine who I usually have act as my focus group is going through a rough patch, and he said, and I quote, "If you're going to go through the effort of genderbending the main character, you might as well explore the new relationship options available."

So now it is a FemDeku x OC story. Deal with it.

And that should be everything. Feel free to check out my profile for specifics about what's new.
