AN: Hi! Thanks for reading this, to start with. I really appreciate the fact that you're willing to give me a chance. ;D

This is The Prophecies Begin from Bluestar's perspective. There will be six books, as is with the Erin Hunters' version. I just want to clear one thing up. I am not going to match quotes because I have better things to do with my time than search books I've read fifteen times for specific lines. The story will match, though, so no worries there. Also, I may change little things, like what happens in a certain scene, or how things go down, but over all, it will all turn out the same.

Thanks,

Raisin123

Bluestar sat with Spottedleaf in the cold night, looking up to the stars. Spottedleaf turned to Bluestar.

"What's wrong?"

Bluestar shook her head, her tail drooping. "I'm fine."

Spottedleaf narrowed her eyes. "I'm your medicine cat. I can see when you're upset, and it's my job to help you."

Bluestar sighed, her eyes sparking with amusement at the young medicine cat. "It's such a shame Featherwhisker died." She remembered.

Spottedleaf lowered her gaze. "He was the best mentor a cat could have. But that's not what I asked you"

Bluestar stared unblinking into Silverpelt. "This is the first defeat I've led ThunderClan into on our own territory. My warriors are supposed to trust that I will lead them in victory. I have failed them."

"You haven't failed any cat." Spottedleaf assured her leader. "Think of this: You've led ThunderClan to victory against RiverClan every time you go to battle at Sunningrocks except for this time. Crookedstar has led RiverClan to defeat every time but this time. Every leader has to deal with defeat. But the best leaders are strong for their Clanmates and don't let it get them down. And I've known you since I was a kit, and you never let anything get you down." The tortoiseshell explained.

Bluestar let out a long breath. "Then maybe I'm not the cat you've known since you were a kit."

Spottedleaf stood up, her pretty amber eyes alight with fury. "You are the strongest cat I know. You have to be there for your Clan."

Bluestar gazed sadly at Spottedleaf. "You never knew Moonflower."

"Moonflower?" The medicine cat asked.

"My mother. I practically died inside after she joined StarClan. I had no energy. I didn't hunt, I didn't train, I did nothing. I came back for the Clan. Then Snowfur died. You didn't know Snowfur. She was my sister, and she was Whitestorm's mother. She was hit on a Thunderpath. Thistleclaw was her mate."

Spottedleaf flinched: when she had been a warrior apprentice, she had loved Thistleclaw. "Continue."

"I came back for Whitekit that time. And then I had kits. When I lost them, I had no cat to come back for. Sunfall, you remember him as Sunstar, I believe, convinced me to become deputy after Tawnyspots retired. But I have never truly recovered from the loss of Snowfur."

Spotttedleaf nodded, grieving with her leader. "And now Stormtail as well."

Then she stiffened, looking at the warriors of StarClan. A red flash of light showed in the moonhigh sky. Spottedleaf watched it, her gaze unwavering. Bluestar recognized the signs. Spottedleaf was receiving a message from StarClan.

"Fire alone can save the Clan." Spottedleaf whispered.

Bluestar gave her a sideways glance. "Fire has always harmed us. But you have never been wrong before. If this is what StarClan has chosen to share with us, then let it be so. Fire alone may save ThunderClan.

AN: I wanted to tell a little backstory of Bluestar, and I probably did a terrible job of it. I changed a little of the plotline so I could show how much Bluestar loved her family, because that is going to play into the series later on.

I really appreciate feedback!
