Ever since the beginning of time, the Pokémon Universe has held many worlds. Planets exist light years apart, each having their own differences within them. For thousands of years, the people and Pokémon have lived in these worlds independently, passing through life without knowing the existence of any of the other worlds. One world has never had any effect on another. But recently, two worlds would change that forever.

Two worlds existed, far apart from each other. One contained people and Pokémon. People there would catch Pokémon in spherical devices known as Poké balls and call them theirs. These people were known as Pokémon trainers. Trainers would travel across their regions catching many different Pokémon and filling up their dex. Good trainers had special bonds with their Pokémon. Most trainers would start their journey around the age of ten. They would challenge gym leaders, collect badges, and challenge the Pokémon league with a goal to become the champion of their region. While few succeeded, the ones who did got a prized title. Some have even destroyed whole evil organizations and saved the world.

The other world is quite different. Humans cease to exist in this world, only Pokémon exist. Only a few humans have entered this world, all for a world saving purpose. And to do so, they all had to turn into Pokémon and lose their human memories. Another huge difference this world has from the human world is that it is filled with mystery dungeons. Mystery dungeons are mysterious places located in natural areas such as forests, mountains, caves, and even in seas. Their layouts are always changing, making it impossible for a Pokémon to map them. They are also quite dangerous, due to the fact that enemy Pokémon wander through them, attacking any Pokémon they see. Because exploring a dungeon is difficult and they are so easy to get lost in, the most common jobs Pokémon have in this world are rescue and exploration teams. These teams are formed by two or more Pokémon getting together to train and go into dungeons. They do missions to help rescue Pokémon, retrieve lost items for Pokémon who really valued them, look for treasure, and so much more. There are even guilds for newer exploration teams to train. Going into a dungeon means bringing a bag full of useful items such as apples, oran berries, elixirs, a variety of orbs, and of course, reviver seeds. Going into a dungeon would be very dangerous without them.

For many generations, these two worlds were so far apart that very few who lived in one of these worlds knew about the existence of the other. But one day, a mysterious power brought these worlds closer together. Then the fateful day came when they collided without warning to either world. It was considered the Pokepacalispe. The worlds fused together, taking the lives of all humans and many Pokémon. When the process was done, the two worlds became one big one. The continents and regions all remained, with most of the human buildings mysteriously remaining intact. The mystery dungeons however, mysteriously disappeared. Some survivors decided to move into the human buildings while others stayed in ones made by Pokémon. One thing the Pokémon changed was that they would now each have individual names, rather than being called by their Pokémon species, since that is what humans did. The cause of this sudden world collision is still a big mystery to all Pokémon.

Mewtwo was adjusting his armor and readying his special device deep in his base.

"Ice beam!" shouted a voice. A cold beam of ice hit Mewtwo.

"Flamethrower!" shouted another voice. Mewtwo could feel fire hit him. Mewtwo looked behind him as two birds flew toward him.

"Articuno! Moltres!" yelled Mewtwo, turning toward them.

"We have come to avenge Zapdos!" said Moltres, landing in a fighting pose.

"Mewtwo, we will not let you do this to the world! We have lost enough Pokémon already!" yelled Articuno, copying Moltres.

"I guess you have made my job easier for me!" laughed Mewtwo. "Get them, servants!" A sableye, gigalith, krookaroc, and rhydon popped out of the ground, surrounding Articuno and Moltres.

"We won't let that happen!" shouted Moltres, launching her fire at the sableye and rhydon.

"Yeah!" shouted Articuno, firing her ice at the krookaroc and gigalith. The enemys went down in a flash.

"Ugh, that was too easy for you! I guess I'll deal with you myself!" said Mewtwo in frustration. Before Moltres and Articuno could make another move, Mewtwo blasted a beam at Moltres. Moltres felt like she was getting hit by a psychic type move, before a sudden snap happened and Moltres fell on the floor.

"Moltres!" shouted Articuno. Mewtwo let out a hideous laughter.

"My device works! She'll have…" Mewtwo said hideously, looking at his device. "Nine hours to live!" Mewtwo hideously shouted.

"Don't let him get away," shouted Moltres, struggling on the floor.

"Oh, but I will!" Shouted Mewtwo, letting out a psycho smile. "Articuno, I will spare you. For now, that is!" shouted Mewtwo, escaping the base.

"Wait!" shouted Articuno. She tried to go after Mewtwo, but just couldn't. Her wings and legs stayed still, not letting her move. After Mewtwo was gone, Articuno rushed toward Moltres.

"Are you okay?!" asked Articuno in a panicked voice.

"I think I'm fine, but why did you let him get away?" answered Moltres.

"I'm sorry, Valerie," sighed Articuno, now calling Moltres by her secret name since no other Pokémon were around.

"Well, I guess we'll just have to catch up to him, Alice," said Valerie, getting up.

"But what Mewtwo said, is it really true that you will die in nine hours?!" Alice asked anxiously.

"I don't know, but it might be," sighed Valerie.

"No! We've already lost Zach! I can't lose you as well!" cried Alice, holding back icy tears.

"I know it's hard, but for the nine hours I have left, we have to continue our chase against Mewtwo. We can't let him do this to any other Pokémon," said Valerie, spreading out her flaming wings.

"Okay, we will," sighed Alice, getting ready to fly. Both birds flew out of the base after Mewtwo.
