Disclaimer: I don't own Batman. At all.

The reason characters such as Rachel Dawes don't have a chapter is because they don't have a comic book counterpart, thus making it harder to place them in some part of the timeline.

The reason characters such as Barbara Gordon don't have a chapter is because that pairing shouldn't have happened in the first place so I'm pretending it doesn't exist. Period.

She was his first love. When they confessed, there were no secrets between them. Just two teenagers eager to share the rest of their lives together. Only her mother and brother's deaths eclipse her happiness.

Even though neither of them said anything, they both knew they would end up being married. The ring Bruce gave her only seemed to make it official.

Each day, her father grows madder and madder. He sees shadows where there are none and mutters about bats with red eyes. But then again, she knew he brought this to himself.

It's not the fact that her father became mad because of him that makes her break off the engagement, but the way Bruce expected her to remain ignorant of his dangerous lifestyle like she couldn't handle it... that truly hurted. She packed for the Peace Corps that night.

She feels the way Gotham welcomes her back after years of self-imposed exile. Memories of a life that could have been returned from the dephts of her mind. Still, there are some matters she must lay to rest.

Maybe being head of a clinic in Gotham of all places is not the future she had in mind, but it is the one that makes her happy. Bruce approached her again but doesn't pursue romance. She doesn't know if she should feel relieved or disappointed.

If there is some God out there, they must be having a good laugh right now. Bruce has lost his memories and thinks they're still dating. She could help him regain them, but... She had forgotten how his arms felt around her.

When she told him the truth behind the weapon that killed his parents, she didn't expect a ring in return. Suddenly, she's fifteen years younger and wrapping her arms around the love of her life. They will make things right this time.

Bruce wants his memories back. The selfish part of her wants to protest. Isn't he happy right now? However, she knows that the man in front of her is not the same one she fell in love for years ago. She almost laughs. It seems fitting that she will "end" his life like her father ended his parents' life.

Julie Madison should consider herself lucky. Unlike those after her, she was one of the few that was given closure when it came to Bruce Wayne and left Gotham with her life and senses intact. Julie would continue to keep minimum contact with Bruce before moving on with her life.
