"I don't belong here!"
Dawnmist flattened her ears, trying to drown out the cat's wailing.
She had grown accustomed to the loneliess, to the decaying scents of the dying, fungus covered trees that surrounded her, and even the feeling of hunger that constantly gnawed at her belly.
One thing she hadn't grown accustomed to though, were the wails of the new-comers, each one claiming they didn't belong.
There were a few, to her relief, that accepted their fates, but most of the time, they were like the cat who was currently interrupting her peace and quiet.
"Help! I want Snowberry, I want my mother!"
A small hiss escaped from Dawnmist's mouth, she found it pretty pathetic, that a cat who StarClan deemed too evil to join their ranks, would be crying out for their mother.
"Please, I don't belong here!"
The rotting branch cracked, as Dawnmist sank her claws into it, imagining that it was the cat, who was wailing.
She wouldn't do anything though, soon, that cat would realize that they belonged in The Dark Forest, just as much as she did.

The clans in this story are ShimmerClan, a clan by the lake, where all the cats are good swimmers and fishers, but they're all extremely territorial and aggressive.
VastClan, a clan with a lot of open land and short grass, since these cats have basically no coverage, and they have the most predators to watch out for, they're the strongest and best fighters.
WoodClan, a clan with a LOT of trees, like, nothing can be seen through the trees. WoodClan cats are super private, and their skill lies in climbing trees.
HollowClan, a clan that has a lot of fallen logs, and some trees, but not nearly as much as WoodClan. HollowClan cats are probably the most cowardly of the clans, and their skills rely on speed and hiding.
The POV chapters will be taking place in HollowClan.
