Chapter 1 : Lost and Found

Ben was covered in blood but he was smiling , he had just revived the girl he loved. He knew what would happen after she awoke , he would die , he would leave her for ever …_

Rey awoke to find that she was in Ben's arms , he had saved her , they had killed Palpatine , they had destroyed the first and final order together and Ben had abandoned his army for her. She couldn't hide her feelings for him now , " I love you Ben " she whispered ," me too " he responded. Then he lowered his gaze " Rey, whatever happens , don't get yourself in danger or my sacrifice would've been useless … " he said in a tired voice . " What sacrifice ... ? No-No-No-No ! Ben ! Ben please , stay with me ! Don't die …"Rey screamed , but it was too late , Ben was gone.

Rey stayed watching as his body disappeared and then decided that there was nothing to do and went back to her X-wing , she saw that Ben's TIE fighter was just beside it and felt another pang of grief and forced herself to go in the X- wing and leave Exegol .

She flew back to the rebel base and saw that everyone was celebrating the defeat of the first order , she got down from her ship and avoided the people that might want to see her and join her in the feasts , reaching the falcon she went in a corner of one of the storage rooms and fell to the floor , unable to keep her grief at bay .

She started crying silently , hoping that no one would come and ask her what she had . Falling into a tight ball she felt the tears streaming on her face and going to the floor with soft "plinks" .

Somebody must've known that she was there because Finn came rushing in the room, Rey tried to hide the trace of her tears and sound normal but Finn didn't seem convinced , " What happened Rey ? , When you were on Exegol ?" He asked . She told him that she had killed Palpatine but didn't tell him more, she didn't want him to know about her feelings for Ben Solo.

Finn told Rey that she looked tired and told her to sleep a while , Rey didn't refuse . She found a spare mattress and put it in a storage room , longing for a deep sleep to forget her sadness .

A few days later, Rey woke up in the middle of the night and went outside to look at the landscape she hadn't seen in months .She sat on a nearby rock and closed her eyes , letting the force run through her body , letting her mind wander in the mysteries of the galaxy .

She could feel the light, the darkness , the fear , the comfort , the love , the death and the life , the strength , the happiness of her companions , her own grief and sadness , but she felt something else , a presence . She got up and looked all around her , nothing .

But she could feel it , family and love , somewhere around her someone was using the force to communicate with her . She could hear a faint voice saying " Rey, trust yourself , don't be afraid to reveal your feelings to others , they will understand when the time comes …"

Rey was scared now , she called out a few names of the people who might be talking to her ,"Leia ? Luke ? Han ?". "Ben ?" she added faintly before sitting on the edge of a cliff .

She looked at the valleys and mountains and heard another voice , a different voice ,"Rey ?" , she turned around and saw Poe standing behind her looking at her with a confused look .

"What are you doing here Rey ?" he asked . "I don't know, a voice brought me here " Rey responded "a feeling …".

"You should come back to camp ,we need you there … and you should probably get those scars looked to" Poe said. Rey didn't respond

"What happened on Exegol Rey ? You didn't tell me, Finn told me that you killed Palpatine but I know that there was more … "

Rey didn't answer , she was lost in thought , she didn't know how to explain what happened there. She couldn't hide the secret much longer, she told him all about her friendship with Ben Solo and what he had said about her , Poe didn't say anything, he just looked at her with a disapproving look.

"You are Palpatine's granddaughter ?" Poe said, not believing her. "I am …"Rey whispered "Ben told me, i trust him with my life, he saved me". "Are you sure it wasn't a plot to try and kill you?" Poe said suspiciously.

Rey couldn't believe his words, she responded angrily "He saved me Poe ! I owe him my life and now he's dead !", tears came to her eyes again.

She sighed and walked back to the base.

The days passed, then weeks, and a month.

Rey was isolating herself in the Millennium Falcon, she was meditating, becoming one with the force, she didn't speak to anyone. She was thin, her face was pale and she was in depression.

She could feel a presence in the force, she didn't understand, she was supposed to be the last Jedi, but there was someone near her, close, on the planet.

It seemed strange to her, she could recognize a feeling, a strange one, a strong person in the force.

She felt a pull outside, from the forest, a feeling...

She ran blindly to the forest, even though it was dark, it was the middle of the night.

She saw smoke in the distance, it was black smoke. Lying in a clearing was a TIE fighter, it was broken, one of the wings was torn off and one side was completely open. The fighter was slowly fuming. It was completely burned.

Rey wasn't surprised, numerous ships had fallen on the planet. This one shouldn't have made her confused, but it did. She could feel a force protection around this ship. But one astonishing thing she noticed was that this TIE fighter wasn't any TIE fighter, it was Ben's.
