Synopsis:
Adalynn Harrington has been best friends with Harry Potter since their first year. She was with him every step of the way. First year, when he fought Quirrell/Voldemort, second year when he found the Chamber of Secrets, third year when he took on Sirius Black, fourth year when his name was put in the goblet of fire, fifth year when he watched Sirius die, sixth year when Dumbledore died, and all throughout his journey trying to find the horcruxes. She never left his side, and her faith in him never wavered. Harry was her brother in everything but blood. In fifth year, in the department of mysteries, Adalynn found herself a time turner. Without anyone else's knowledge, she took it and kept it hidden. Not knowing that this one choice would completely change her life.
It is the final battle at Hogwarts, and Adalynn, who is an exceptionally gifted witch, was doing her best to save everyone. Being orphaned when her parents were murdered after Voldemort's return, Adalynn couldn't lose more people. She had stayed at Grimmauld Place with Sirius after her parent's death, as she had nowhere else to go. They had become incredibly close, as both were purebloods who didn't adhere to normal pureblood standards. Watching him die the year after her parent's died almost broke her. The only reason she stayed strong was for Harry. During the final battle, it felt as though no matter what she did, they lost everybody. Remus, Tonks, Fred, Lavender, it was all too much to bear. Which is why when she saw Ginny and Molly going up against Bellatrix, and losing, she couldn't stand by and watch. Who knew that moment was the beginning of end of Adalynn Harrington? Or was it?
