Here They Come

My name is Dean Winchester and I have a wonderful boyfriend named Castiel Novak. I'm the head neurosurgeon at Johns Hopkins Hospital, and he's the head, General Surgeon. We live in a large brick house together and have 2 dogs and 3 cats. Although we want to adopt 3 kids. We live in Baltimore, Maryland together and have been dating for 2 years. We've lived together for 1 year and 3 months now. He's 26, and I'm 25. We met in college when we were 18, but I didn't work up the balls to ask him out till I was 23. There's only one problem, my parents John Winchester, and Mary Winchester don't know I'm gay or dating Cas. It's not that I don't think they would approve, It's just that, my dad walked in on me having sex for the first time when I was 12. I've always been a jock at school, and a womanizer, my dad's perfect son. Except for the fact that I'm a major nerd, but no one but me knew that in school. Anyways, I feel like if I come out, my dad will only be disappointed. I mean my 21-year-old brother Sam is the nerd, who's still a virgin, and never went to parties, he's more of a mama's boy. No one in my family knows that I'm gay, I realized in college, when I met my first boyfriend Grayson. I told them his name was Gracie, but he didn't like that very much. I choose to tell them this Thanksgiving break because I want to purpose to Cas, and I want to adopt those kids, Cas and I are stable, and this and proposing is the only thing left to do. I'm also scared Sam will hate me, our whole lives we've been attached at hand and foot, we tell each other everything. How will he react to the fact that I'm gay, and I plan to marry my secret boyfriend, oh and we've been dating for 2 years and 6 months. Currently, I'm standing outside my parent's house about to have a panic attack. Suddenly my moose of a brother appeared behind me and said, "Hey Dean, so, are we gonna stand out here all night?"

I groaned and said, "Hey nerd. How's Stanford?"

He chuckled and said, "Nerd? Really, mister head neurosurgeon at the best hospital in America, and straight-A student all middle school and high school."

I chuckled and said, "At least I'm not a virgin."

He slapped on the top of my head and said, "Well I may be a virgin but at least I can't be labeled as a 'Man Whore', and at least I haven't slept with every hot girl within a 50-mile radius."

I laughed and said, "Let's go inside, little brother."

Sam groaned and said, "Sure, big bro. Just remember, I'm technically bigger though."

I chuckled and knocked on the familiar blue front door. My mother answered around 1 minute after I knocked and smiled at me. She chuckled and said, "Hey, Dean, hey Sam! Are you ready for a feast you'll never forget?"

Sam beat his chest and said, "I'll bet I can eat more than anyone here."

I chuckled and said, "Bet, Sammy."

Honestly, I felt too anxious to eat, but my family would be worried if I didn't eat.

My mom rolled her eyes and said, "Well, boys, let's not stand on the stoop all day oozing toxic masculinity, come help me wash dishes."

Sam chuckled and said, "Let's go, whoever washes the most dishes wins."

I chuckled and rushed past my mother, Sam followed closely behind. My dad came around the corner and said, "Woah, where's the fire? How are y'all boys?"

Sam stopped and said, "No time. Gotta win the contest, I wanna wash the most dishes."

I continued down the hall and picked up a dish, then shouted back, "I already started, loser."

Sam came rushing in passing our bewildered father, and my amused mother. He grabbed a plate and we started our competition. After 15 minutes we were done and I had won, Sam pouted and said, "He's a surgeon, that's not fair, he's got like dishwashing super powers."

My dad and mom chuckled and mom said, "Well, let's get those potatoes mashed, then we can eat."

Dean smirked and said, "Sam should do it, he's the one that lost."

Sam frowned and said, "Fine."

After 10 minutes the potatoes were done, and we were at the table to eat. I had steak, mashed potatoes, and green beans. It's my favorite meal, but I couldn't bring myself to eat it. My mom looked at my full plate and Sam's empty one, then said, "Are you okay sweetie? You'd normally be done by now."

I sighed and said, "Actually, I have something to tell you, and you have to promise not to interrupt or get mad."

My dad hesitantly nodded, so did my mom, and my brother said, "What's up Dean?"

I frowned and said, "It's a long story. Well… how do I start?"

My dad smiled and said, "Just do it, we're family, we don't judge."

My mom agreed and my brother smiled. I frowned and began, "Well, let's start with the beginning, when I met my best friend Castiel. We were best friends for 5 years, I met him in college. Soon I realized I was in love with him. Damn, this sounds like a fucking fairytale story. When I turned 23, after years of pinning, I finally asked him out. We've been dating ever since, he's the love of my life. I plan to ask him to marry me soon. We live together, and he's the head of Cardio at the hospital."

My whole family was shocked, with their mouths hanging open, Mom was the first one to speak, she said, "When do we get to meet Castiel."

I stuttered and my brother replied, "We love you Dean, and that'll never change."

My mom nodded and my dad did as well. I smiled and said, "He lives nearby, my plan was to invite him over and purpose to him at dinner if this went well."

My mom gaped at me and my dad gruffly said, "What about his family?"

I frowned and said, "They're super religious and hate him for being gay, he was actually planning on cutting all ties after dinner."

My mom nodded and said, "Well, invite him over for dinner."

I smiled and said, "Yeah, okay."

Then I went upstairs and called Cas. He answered on the second ring and said:

Castiel- Hey baby. What's up?

Dean- I came out to my family.

Castiel- How did that go, sweetie?

Dean- Good, they want to meet you.

Castiel- Well, hotshot, I think you'll have to fight for me

Dean- Haha, I pinned over you for years, I think I earned this, but if you need an invitation, Come to Thanksgiving at my house tomorrow.

Castiel- Well, I'll have to think about it. I'm a very busy man.

Dean- Oh my dear Cassie, please, my love, haha.

Castiel- Fine babe, I would love to.

Dean- Bye, love.

Castiel- Bye, tomorrow text me the time and address.

We hung up and I heard a knock at my door, I called, "It's open, come in."

My mom and brother came in and mom said, "Hey sweetie, your dad just passed out with his food baby."

Sam chuckled and said, "So, can Castiel come tomorrow?"

I smiled and said, "Yes."

The two of them smiled and said, "Good, can't wait to meet him."

The next day at 4:30pm

I heard Cas knock at the door and my mom answered the door, I heard my mom say, "Hello, you must be Castiel?"

I heard Cas's deep sexy voice say, "Yes, and you must be Mary?"

She chuckled and said, "The one and only, want me to get Dean?"

I walked around the corner and watched how my boyfriend's face lit up with happiness. My mom quietly said, "Aww, you two are sickenly sweet."

My dad and brother came around the corner and dad said, "Hello, and who is this?"

Castiel shook my dad's hand and said, "Hello, I'm Castiel."

Sam smiled and said, "Hey, dude."

Cas cocked his head in that cute way I love so much and said, "Yes, um, hello, dude. Sorry if I'm a bit socially awkward."

Sam chuckled and said, "It's cool, man."

I hugged him and said, "How was your trip baby."

My family aww'ed and I chuckled, he replied, "Great, you know I love a nice car ride."

Sam chuckled and said, "He's perfect for you."

After Thanksgiving dinner, while sitting around the fire

My heart was pounding and I felt like I was gonna explode, Sam, and my parents followed me out to the kitchen and I said, "Honey, we're gonna go get champagne and snacks, stay here love."

As we went to the kitchens my dad said, "So, when are you gonna do it, boy?"

I smiled and said, "Soon, I feel like my hearts gonna explode."

Mom grabbed my arm and said, "Sweetie, I don't know if you've noticed but he's practically obsessed with you, you stare at each other like one of you hung the sun. It'll be fine."

Sam smiled and said, "You two are so in love with each other it's like you're one person."

I smiled and sighed, and dad said, "Go get your boy."

We grabbed the snacks and drinks then went back to the living room. Immediately got down on one knee, holding the velvet box, and said, "Cas, I love you so much, baby, I want to spend the rest of my life with you. As a gay power couple, and we can have kids. So what do you say love?"

Castiel started crying and said, "Yes baby, yes, I love you, and I want to have kids with you, and be a power couple."
