It was a dark night windy with light rain a man with blond hair looked at his friend since when he first turned into a vampire. He recently become good friends with his mate who was now with child his friend ask him to come over with much urgency that even he Nicklaus Mickelson was wary of. When he reached the western lands gates the guards already knew who he was and feared him like they did their lord.

He finally arrived to where his friend was and his clearly showing mate. He smiled as he reached them. "Hello Sesshomaru to what do I own the pleasure of being called here to your humble home".

Klaus knew the man but all so demon wasn't afraid of him nor was he afraid of Sesshomaru maybe that's why they get along so well. His mate who look trouble he noted gave him a pained smile. "Kagome darling a pleasure as always " Kagome smiled that same pained smile "Hello nik"

Sesshomaru came down and lead him to his study and pass him his drink. Feeling the more paranoid part of me started to rise. We sat for what seemed like hours till he spoke.

"Klaus I wished this was a simple gathering for friends such as you and I. "

I raised my eyebrows at him waiting for him to continue feeling a lil uneasy. Sesshomaru took a deep breath and look at me right in the eyes. "I do not trust anyone other then you klaus, I know it might surprise you considering you're...activities with your nature and your breaking your curse."

He was indeed surprised though he and Sesshomaru were close he always thought he didn't fully trust him to handle anything for him. Not cause he was an original vampire but because he never thought twice or gave any reason to drink blood from someone innocent or not.

"Mate your not making any sense I thought Kagome keeps you sane or are you feeling a little deprived lately" I smirked as he glared at me. I shrugged and about to get up and leave if he didn't cut to the chase

" I am asking as your longest and really only friend besides my mate to ask you of something of utter importance. I suggest you sit down klaus or I'll sit you down myself"

I growled deep in my throat Sesshomaru knew of my family troubles but not feeling like fighting with him yet I decided to play his game I sat back down in his lather chair and looked at him to continue. He again gave a loud sigh and rolled his eyes which I found odd as he never showed any emotions like him

" As you know Kagome is with child my heir but recent development has occurred my idiot brother has decided to team up with another disgusting half-breed. We know is a rather big threat and I fear we might not survive" he said I looked at him as if he lost his mind he was just like him immortal but what klaus remember is though he is immortal and his mate has shared his lifespan he can still die by the simplest weapon if one ever lived it got close to him.

"I don't see what you got your knickers in a twist Sesshomaru your brother can be easily defeated if you so chose or is it your asking for my assistance in decapatining your brother?" I asked when he looked up I can tell the idea sounded pleasing but he just shook his head.

"We only have 13 years to come up with a plan to bring both him and Nakuru down. Before these lands come to a complete war zone. I need you klaus to make me a promise"

I didn't say anything for a time wondering where this was leading to confused that Sesshomaru was asking for his help. It was my turn to give a big sigh he was his closest friend more like a brother when Elijah wasn't around.

"Alright I promise - no klaus " Sesshomaru interrupted " I need your word that no matter if you flip the switch or not when the day comes you'll come back as i call you not as a servant like you might think but as a brother in need"

I was taken back though at the moment my humanity switch was on he knows I can easily shut it off. As well know I don't do well when ordered around but by the looks of it he needed my help and I'll feel like a bad friend if I didn't help out and he helped me with many things.

"Alright Sesshomaru what is it you need me so badly for?" I asked as I rubbed my crook of my nose getting an awful headache. Sesshomaru than came to sit in front of me looking dead serious.

" When these past 13 years pass you will come and collect my child and protect him or her from any and all harm" I looked shocked once again then it turned into laughter I patted his shoulder while he was glares.

"Sorry mate no can do I'm not someone fit to take care of a child how does Kagome feel about this hmm? Am sure she won't be too happy about anyone taking her child from her" I said but Sesshomaru grabbed his arm and pinned him down faster than any vampire or original I growled and cursed his demon speed with slight envy.

"I wish you wouldn't find my child in danger as some comedy Nicklaus and seeing how I can easily defeat you and kill you without the white oat you will see how serious I am being" he said and threw me back to the chair

I walked up to the door after dusting myself off pissed as hell.

I slammed his door and made my way back to my home my city to finish my plan for breaking my curse

As I was close to the main gates I hear her calling my name I groaned in my head not wanting to deal with this but turned none the less and waited for her to Catch her breath.

"Nik I know what my Sesshomaru told must have been a shocker I know but I am begging you to consider to help protect our child your the only one we trust " Her doe like eyes beginning to water she knew I once loved her but we remained friends as she loved Sesshomaru as mad as I wanted to be I wanted nothing more then her happiness.

"You know I can't handle a Child Kagome am sure you'll find some else to take care of it" I sighed and looked at her. Kagome didn't care if her tears fell or not but tilted her head to the side her watery tears in confusion til she whispered. "He didn't tell everything did he? Of course he wouldn't he likes to think he can beat anything".

I looked at her confused as we were both getting soaked from the now pouring rain she looked at me once again with a sad smile and reached for my cheek I hated when she did that knowing she'll get what she wants but not this time.

"We have a sheer and all her sayings of things to come have come true we called you here cause the war we are fighting against Inuyasha(she flinched as she said his name) we don't come out alive nik and said that our child will be killed i know it's asking a lot of you but we trust you when the day comes were I myself call you you can decide what or what not to do. You can think on it for the next 13 years nik". Kagome smiled sadly I didn't say anything but look at her I took her hand from my face and looked at her.

"You'll be fine Love and you'll live happily with your small family you nor Sesshomaru will die I assure you that" I told her and left using my vampire speed though I didn't believe my words as I said them to her but a sinking feeling she was right. Right then and there I turned it off.
