A/N: I'm American and don't entirely understand Japanese culture or the University systems, that detail is going to be based off of the way they are in America. This is an AU so it doesn't really matter, too much ٩(๑ᴗ๑)۶ (The point of view is Nishinoya's currently.)

I had finally finished moving into my small dorm room, I have yet to meet my roommate though. It's going to be fairly awkward that's for sure. Apparently he had gotten here before me and was already moved in. At least he left a note on our shared desk. All that was on the note was that we could introduce ourselves later tonight and a reminder to not eat too much since they offered to buy takeout for dinner. I couldn't help but smile and get embarrassed over their generosity. It had been some time since I had gotten this type of social treatment so it felt oddly foreign. I kinda looked forward to it oddly enough.
My horizontal dresser had my oversized shirts, an array of skinny jeans, and multiple long sleeved attire stuffed into it like a turkey. It was squeezed tightly in between the bed and wall on my side of the room. Speaking of such attire, I currently had some ripped black skinny jeans on, followed by a black and white striped long sleeved shirt, under a plain oversized black short sleeve shirt. Tied at my waist was my dark purple jacket (also oversized so no surprise).
I didn't really spike my hair up anymore after high school since I got really into wearing beanies and hats. But I still had my bleached bit of hair for the most part. I loved putting pins in beanies and just enjoyed the way it looked in the mirror. Remembering that I just recently bought a new pin for one of these said beanies, I grabbed my favorite one, a navy blue beanie that didn't have many pins in it. Said pin I bought for it was of the frog on a unicycle meme, here come dat boi. Pinning it into position, I put the beanie on and fixed it to my liking.
Smirking slightly when I saw how it looked in the bathroom mirror, I did a few quick poses for fun. But my smile faltered when my wrists poked out from my sleeves, it wasn't much but I could still spot the new cuts and old cuts, I had forgotten about not wrapping my arms. But I didn't have time to bandage them this morning so I might as well do so now. That was until it dawned on me that I was out of bandages and wraps.
"Damnit.." I muttered bitterly. Sighing slightly I just accepted the fact that I needed to go out to the drug store that I passed while walking onto the campus from the parking lot. It wouldn't take that long, plus It would give me a chance to walk around campus and get used to the place. Always look for the positives Noya, it's not that bad. I put my red chucks/All Stars on and grabbed my wallet before heading out the door to my dorm room.
Now the dorms are set up like an apartment complex's. So if you open the dorm room door you are either in the dorm parking lot or the walkway that leads to stairs, then the parking lot. I was on the first floor, but decided to walk around campus and out the front gate to get to the drug store instead of just driving there.
Thankfully it isn't far and I get the chance to look around campus. There were many students wandering the campus grounds, mainly socializing outside of their dorms and just enjoying the nice day. Some exercising and some playing a few sports. Primarily football and soccer players. But out of instinct I automatically spotted the volleyball players.
Somewhat intrigued once more by the sport I adored in high school, I made the impulsive decision to go check out how the players were doing. It was a fairly nice breezy day so I wasn't boiling in my pile of clothes on me. Once I got over to the volleyball players, I stood back a bit just to observe but couldn't help taking a step forward out of reflex in order to possibly make a save for the ball.
I didn't really pay attention to the players much. Only their skills in all honesty. They towered me of course, but Libro's are much better if they're short since they're already closer to the ground then some of the other giants on the court or field.
I watched the game for a few more minutes, as it began to get better and better. The teams were at a draw, 1 point from either side and that's it. Just when things were getting good too. Things were pretty intense and I really didn't want it to end there. The players in the front didn't get the ball in time and the players in the back were too far away. I saw my moment and took it without hesitation despite knowing that I really shouldn't budge in but knowing these players they would take any chance they could get so they didn't have to lose, either team at that. Dashing to the predicted spot of where the ball would land, I lunged forward with my hands clasped and arms held together in order to save the ball. My body practically dived and slid on the grass as if on a slip and slide, but nonetheless I saved the ball! It went over the temp net that was set up and my actions were so unexpected from the other team they just looked in awe as the ball hit the ground with a satisfying thud.
"Noya?!" A deep familiar voice yelled out in shock, only to belong to my old best friend Asahi Azumane.
I looked up quickly with wide eyes. "Asahi!?"
