Chapter 1: Heartfelt Returns

"So this is it," Kuzumi said to Lucy.

"It has," the mandrake said, "it's been only a year but you've grown so much," she exclaimed happily.

Kuzumi chuckled and smiled at his partner's action. As he was about to enter the ceremonial room, Taki grabbed him by the shoulder and said, "Once you grab your gold plate, you'll be teleported infront of class 1-C of Seinagi High."

Kuzumi smiled at hearing how quickly he was going to be able to see everybody after he gets his gold plate.

"Thank you so much Taki-sensei," Kuzumi said bowing.

"You're welcome," he said back, "now go in there and get what's rightfully yours," he said finishing by pushing Kuzumi into the room.

"Congratulations Taiga Kuzumi on earning your gold plate," the principal said.

Kuzumi's heartrate skyrocketed through the roof. "This is it! What all my hard work was for," he thought as he took the gold plate.

Immediately after touching the gold plate, Kuzumi disappeared in a flash of light. "I expect you to make the Magic Scholars group," Taki thought before leaving the room.

In front of Class 1-C's room, Kuzumi took a deep breath before entering the classroom yelling, "Surprise!"

When he yelled surprise, everybody in the room looked to see who yelled.

"K-Kuzumi is that you," Aika asked rubbing her eyes to see if she was hallucinating.

Kuzumi smiled before saying, "In the flesh," as he showed his gold plate.

Suddenly, Aika ran towards Kuzumi and wrapped her arms around him. As she looked up at him, he saw tears that threatened to fall before she said, "I-I've missed you so much."

The whole class erupted as they went up and smothered him. "I've missed you all," he said blushing at all the attention he's getting, "don't tell anybody else because I want to surprise every one," he explained.

"As long as you promise to show your magic this time," a girl yelled.

Kuzumi looked over to who said that smiled before saying, "Of course! I'll do it tomorrow."

He then left the room before casting Clear Clean to be able to find Muzuki without anyone else seeing him.

"He's coming any day now," Mizuki thought to herself, "I can't wait to show him how much I've changed," she said aloud. She then started to blush furiously about how their encounter would go.

"No, bad Mizuki," she thought shaking her head to stop the thoughts. She sighed before heading into the Drug Makers' club house. Just as she closed the door, Kuzumi saw her hair and knew that is was her.

"That's Mizuki," Kuzumi thought as he chased after her. When he was in front of the door, he took another deep breath before heading inside.

"Hey Mizuki," he said as he looked at her, "long time no see."

Mizuki turned around when she heard the door open but went wide eyed at who entered the room. She took a step forward whole saying, "Kuzumi is that you," as tears started to form in her eyes.

Kuzumi, knowing what could prove that it was him, said, "It is my angel."

When he said that, Mizuki ran to him and jumped into him wrapping her arms around his neck before asking, "C-can I-I cry this time?"

Kuzumi smiled at her with tears that threatened to fall of his own answered, "Yes."

The floodgates opened for Mizuki. All the emotions that she's felt for him exploded. Tears came streaming down her face. "I-I've missed you so-so much," she wailed into his chest.

"I've missed you so much Mizuki," he said as tears fell down. They were like that for ten minutes before Mizuki realized their position and got off him hastily, blushing at the intimate position they were just in.

"S-so," Mizuki said, 'how much have I changed," she asked as she spun around.

Kuzumi wiped the tears from his eyes before saying, "The only thing that has changed is how beautiful you are Mizuki."

Mizuki's face turned red. Before she heard a voice say, "I've missed you too." Lucy then became visible before she flew towards Mizuki nuzzling her cheeks.

"I've missed you to Lucy," Mizuki said as she smiled at her.

"I have to go see the Student Council now," he told Mizuki as he headed towards the door.

"Wait," Mizuki yelled as she wrapped her arms around his neck, "I've missed you my knight in shinning armor," she finished before pressing her lips against his briefly.

When they separated, they looked at each other's blushing face before Mizuki pushed him out of the room before saying, "We'll talk more later."

Mizuki didn't hear him say anything else but, knew he was smiling as he ran down the hallway. "I don't think my heart would've lasted any longer," she thought.

As Kuzumi was just about to enter the Student Council's room, he thought, "I wonder if Sempai is there," as he opened the door.

He was shocked to see only Aiwa in the room. "S-sempai is that you," he asked.

Aiwa snapped her head to look at him. He saw he crying when she saw his face. "It's me Kuzumi-kun," she said as she lept towards his before rubbing her cheek against his.

"I've missed you so much my cute kohai," she said as she nuzzled his cheek.

"I've missed you too Sempai," he said as he wrapped his arms around her. "Where's the rest of the student council," he asked her wondering where everybody is.

"They all got the day off," she said.

"But then why are you here," he asked her.

She gave him a sly smile before saying, "Because I knew that you woukd come back today," he answered as she kissed his cheek.

Kuzumi smiled at her before running her head. "Can we stay like this," Aiwa asked as she tightened her hold on Kuzumi.

Kuzumi shook his head before saying, "I want to say hello to everybody else."

"Fine," she grumbled letting go of him. Before he left, she grabbed his collar and smashed her lips against him. "That's you welcome back present," she said as she pulled away licking her lips.

Kuzumi then left the room to find Hirragi-sensei.

"I love you soooo much kohai~kun," Aiwa thought.

"Where would I find daddy Hiiragi," he asked himself.
