This is my version of Endgame so forget anything that happened in the movie and the end credit scene of Captain Marvel.
Right outside Avengers Tower.
The Quinjet arrives at Avengers Tower and lands outside. They all get out and go inside the tower. They are all shaken from what happened in Wakanda. From what is happening to the universe.
They all walk their separate ways in the tower.
Thor goes into a room all alone. He can't shake Thanos's final words off.
"You should have gone for the head"
Thor thinks of all he could have prevented if he had just simply gone for the head. Thor then starts to make a prayer.
"Loki. Heimdall. I am sorry I could not avenge you. You both died as heros. You both died as Asgardians. I will avenge you next time. I promise not to fail again" Says a mourning Thor.
Rocket comes in.
"It's not your fault"
Thor doesn't say anything.
"We all could have tried harder" Says Rocket.
Thor decides to speak now.
"But not all of us were that close to actually killing him rabbit"
Rocket shrugged.
"You can't just sit in here sulking. That's not gonna get everyone back Thor" Says Rocket.
Thor nods.
"You're right" Says Thor.
They both go to find the others.
In the room with the scanner.
Cap, Bruce, Nat, Rhodey, Rocket and Thor are all looking at it. Looking at all the people that Thanos has killed.
"This day has finally come" Says Cap.
"This had to be what Tony was talking about when he wanted Ultron" Says Bruce.
"We need to find him. He was in that ship. He could be stranded for all we know. He could still be alive" Says Rhodey.
In space. On the benetar.
Tony and Nebula are inside it. They were able to get equipment on Titan to fix the Benetar. They have put coordinates in the ship to take them back to earth. The ship is on auto pilot.
It's been a week and Nebula and Tony are both still very shaken up. But Nebula notices that Tony looks to be in a much worse state.
Compassion has never been Nebula's best skill but she tries.
"We haven't failed yet. We can get back to earth get help. We can find Thanos. Find the stones. Bring everyone back"
Tony just about manages a very weak smile.
"I like your can do attitude. There are people that we need to check are still alive" Says Tony.
Nebula nods.
"I have a question Stark. Who is Pepper? You mention her a lot in your sleep" Says Nebula.
Tony doesn't answer for a minute.
"My fiancee" Is all Tony feels like saying. But Tony really does miss Pepper so much. He hopes she is still alive. Now Tony has a question for Nebula.
"How do you know Quill and the rest?" Asked Tony.
Nebula feels sad now.
"They are the guardians of the galaxy. My sister Gamora was one of them. Until.. until.."
Tony remembers the name Gamora.
"I'm sorry" Says a sincere Tony.
Nebula nods.
"Who was the boy? The one who was the last one to go?" Asked Nebula.
Tony sighs.
"Peter. He was like a son to me" Says a sad Tony.
Nebula feels sympathy for him.
"I'm sorry"
Tony smiles.
Then before they know it they are back on earth. Then they are back at Avengers tower before long.
All the avangers there come outside and see the benetar landing.
Tony and Nebula get out of the ship and Tony and Cap look each other in the eyes. Both just relieved to see each other.
"Come inside" Says Cap.
They all go inside and Tony is relieved to see Pepper Potts in the room.
"Oh my god!" Says Pepper as she runs to Tony. They hug and kiss.
The next morning.
Tony is with the rest of the heroes. They are discussing everything that happened.
"I can't believe this. Not one bit of it. Where the hell is he now? Do you know?" Asked Tony.
"No clue. He left right after he snapped his fingers. We don't have any idea where he is. He wouldn't have given you any coordimates or anything then?" Asked Cap.
Tony shakes his head.
"Nothing Steve. How are we gonna find him now?" Asked Tony.
"Thanos always said that after he was finished he would finally rest and watch the sunrise on a grateful universe" Said Nebula. She was next to Rocket. They hadn't left each other since Nebula and Tony got back to earth.
"Did he mention where he would watch this sunrise?" Asked Natasha.
"No"
"We have to think of somewhere. Along with something. We need a plan" Says Thor.
"Nebula, tell him your plan" Says Tony.
"We find the stones. We bring everyone back with them. But we need to find Thanos first" Says Nebula.
"We're also gonna need all the help we can get. Is there anyone who isn't here that hasn't been taken by Thanos's snap?" Asks Rhodey.
Then all of a sudden there was someone right behind Rhodey.
"Where's Fury?"
10 minutes later
Everyone has explained everything to Captain Marvel and she is horrified that Fury is gone.
"But we can bring Fury back. We can bring everyone back" Assures Bruce.
"He's right. We just have to find Thanos and get the stones and bring them back" Says Steve.
Danvers seems quite enthusiastic on that plan.
"Ok. I've been to a lot of planets. I might be able to find him. Then I'll come back here to you guys" Says Danvers.
Danvers takes off without another word.
A lot of them have a bit of a "what just happened?" kind of look.
"So while we wait for the new girl to get back we just wait?" Asks Rocket.
Steve smiles.
"I spent almost 70 years doing nothing! I could do this all day!" Says Steve.
