Hi peeps. This is a story I'vehad running through my head for a while now. Its also my first fanfic ever. Second chapter out soon. I will mark out whose pov this is from it will be either R&M (Raven and Myra) or V&S (Valkyrie and Skulduggery)
This is in between Resurrection and Midnight.
The body was found outside the new forests of England. Not a drop of blood, no suggestion as to how he died but there was no denying the fact that he was dead. There were no footprints, no fingerprints, nothing. It was as if he had been killed by a ghost.
1.9 kilometres away sat 2 girls, hidden so well they were almost invisible. They were wanted in 49 countries for untold assassinations and murders. They sat, their faces shrouded in shadow as they watched the investigation with glee. They were exactly the same in every way. With porcelain skin and ink black hair the only difference between them were their eyes. One had eyes that were patches of all the blues in the world, the other had eyes that were pale orange.
They were also being hunted by the skeleton detective and had gotten into the habit of leaving small clues to make the game funner. Hence the dead man they were watching with unnerving happiness.
"Raven, Sherlock Bones has arrived, time to go?"
Down near the corpse a tall thin figure was looking directly in their direction.
"I reckon, Myra will you do the honours?"
"Hold on."
With that the two girls vanished, reappearing next to an abandoned shack 10 kilometers from the nearest town. In Australia.
"What beautiful accommodations, I take it that this one room shack is ours?"
"Raven this is the most inconspicuous accommodation you could ask for."
"In the 1800s perhaps."
"Well there you go there were some beautiful things built in the 1800s."
"Myra i refuse to stay in this pitiful excuse for a house for an undefined amount of time while we wait for Pleasant when there is a small town nearby!"
"There's beautiful interior decoration."
Raven tentatively pushed the rotting door open, it fell off its hinges and crashed onto the dirt floor. The interior was even worse than she was expecting, if that was possible. The walls were patched with newspaper, a futile attempt to block some of the holes in the walls. There were two misshapen lumps of wood pressed against the rear wall and a miniscule paraffin stove in the corner. The rotting pieces of timber ,Raven assumed , were aeon old beds covered in mould. the floor had holes in it and Raven thought she saw a mouse run along the the wall.
"No"
"Raven."
" Myra, I will say it again. I refuse to stay here sleeping on mouldy logs and drinking from that tiny stagnant lake, yes i saw that. And furthermore …"
"RAVEN! I was trying to remind you that we are TELEPORTERS. We can literally teleport anywhere. Want a camp bed? Go get one! Want better food? Go find some. Want me to shut up? Too bad. Want a puppy? Too bad. I don't know where I'm going anymore. Let's just find a BnB in the town and live more comfortably."
"And you say i have a short attention span," Raven muttered as she caught her breath from her previous tirade, "i'm teleporting this time."
And the two girls vanished.
A young boy dropped from his hiding place in the tree and slapped a piece of metal on his belt.
Ten minutes later Skulduggery Pleasant, Valkyrie Cain and Fletcher Renn appeared next to the shack.
