Chapter One: The Princess Of Asgard
It was unknown where she came from when she was found at the doors to the palace but it was undeniable that Thor was her father. She was a small baby with hair so white it was like the snow with ice blue streaks and her eyes were the exact shade of ice blue like the streaks in her hair. They could clearly see she was no older than a week old. They took her in right away and made room for her in Thor's room until she was old enough to have her own room. Thor was lost on what to do. He didn't know the first thing about raising a baby. He was a warrior. But he loved that little girl from the moment he held her in his arms. Frigga was thrilled to be a grandmother even Odin was happy about being a grandfather. Loki loved being an uncle and he also pointed out that the baby did not have a name.
"Brother, you do realize she doesn't have a name. You can't keep calling her little one." Loki states from his chair on the corner of the room. "I know that. But her name must be perfect." Thor replies. They all look down at the baby sleeping in Thor's arms where she has been since they took her in. "How about Chalsea?" Loki asks thoughtfully. Thor was about to disagree when the baby started to smile in her sleep. "Chalsea it it." He laughs with his booming voice. "Princess Chalsea, it's perfect. I will begin on the plans for her room. It should be down by the time she is old enough to sleep alone." Frigga states before leaving to go off to her study.
"Your mother is going to go all out for her room." Odin laughs as he walks off after his wife leaving Thor and Loki alone with Chalsea. "How does it feel to be a father, Brother?" Loki asks. "I don't know, ask me again in a few weeks." Thor jokes. "Well Brother, I will leave you be to get to know your daughter.'' Loki comments while standing from his chair. He pats Thor on the back as he walks by and out of the room. Once alone in the room Thor gently sways side to side while looking down at his daughter. She opens her eyes slowly and looks up at him to reveal her ice blue eyes.
"My you are a special one, my darling Chalsea." He speaks softly. She blinks at him slowly in curiosity. "I bet you're hungry, let's go find you something to eat." He comments as he walks from his room and to the kitchen to find her something to eat. He finds something for her quickly and puts it in a bottle and feeds her slowly so she doesn't get sick. After she has been fed he burps her so she doesn't puke and slowly rubs his hand on her back to sooth her and she slowly falls asleep. He takes her back to his room and places her down in the crib his mother had put in there for her and covers her up with a light blanket.
After that first night Chalsea quickly became Thor's everything, he would do everything for her. He would tell her stories before bed and crawl around on the floor chasing her around and making her scream out in happiness. If he was training he would drop everything to make her laugh and happy. She grew quickly and more beautiful as the days went on and she spoke her first word just before her first birthday and Thor was beyond proud. They were in for a big surprise when Chalsea turned five and sprouted wings that matched her hair. He didn't know what to do so he went to his mother. She told him not to worry that Chalsea was fine and she would be able to retract her wings when she learned how to control them. He almost had a heart attack when he walked into the throne room and found her flying a few weeks after finding out she had wings.
By the time she was six she had full control of her wings and would only use them when she didn't want to walk or if she felt in a playful mood and wanted to sneak up on her uncle. Loki loved to show her all kinds of magic and she would watch with so much awe. Her father was set to become king in a few weeks and she couldn't wait. Her father has been working for this his whole life and she was so proud of him. She knew that no matter what even if he was king he would always make time for her. When she was seven she cast her first lightning bolt and man what a day that was. She was practicing her lightning throwing when Odin walked in and broke her concentration and the bolt hit him.
She started to cry and apologize to her grandfather profusely and while saying she didn't mean to hit him and she should have had better control. Odin not wanting to see her cry lifted her up into his arms and she quickly hugged him hiding her face in his neck. He soothed her gently by saying it was his fault for walking in and distracting her that he should have waited until she threw the bolt before walking in. Thor found them a few moments later and he began to panic thinking she was hurt. Odin told him to calm down that she wasn't hurt and that she was just upset because she accidentally hit him with one of her bolts. Upon hearing her father's voice she reached out to him and he quickly took her into his arms. He held her against his chest and the feel of his strong heartbeat calmed her down just like when she was a baby.
After that day it was a rule to never walk on Chalsea while she was practicing her lightning bolt throwing. She finally perfected her bolt throwing a few days later and was so excited she ran from the room to tell her father. He was so proud of her and took her into his arms and threw her up in the air and caught her in his arms when she fell back down. Then finally the day of her father's coronation to be king. She was dressed in a gorgeous white dress with ice blue snowflakes. Her hair was done in ringlets and put up in a bun on the top of her head with a few strands hanging down to frame her face.
She was standing next to her grandmother in the throne room waiting for her father's arrival and her uncle was standing off to the left of her grandfather. He waltzed into the room laughing and waving to the people of Asgard. He kneels down on the bottom step once he makes it to the throne and he looks up at her and sends her a fatherly wink. She hides a giggling behind her hand as she looks down. Odin begins the ceremony from his throne and he is just about to name Thor king when frost giants attack the palace.
Frigga quickly takes Chalsea by the hand and leads her out of the throne room and to somewhere safe as Odin and her father and uncle go off to take care of the frost giants. Chalsea paces around her grandmother's study waiting for word from her father that it's safe to come out. Thor ran into the room a little while later and walked right up to Chalsea and she leapt into his arms. He held her close and ran his hand along her back in a soothing motion "Your safe now. The frost giants have been taken care of and have been sent back to Jotunheim." He whispers against the top of her head.
She relaxes upon hearing her father say it's safe "Can I go to my room now Daddy?'' She asks quietly. "Yes of course, it's been a long day and I'm sure you're tired. Go change and climb into bed and I will be there soon to tuck you in my little princess." He kisses the top of her head softly. She gives him one final squeeze before skipping from the room and off down the hall to her own room. "You're planning something aren't you. You and your brother along with the Warriors Three and Lady Sif." Frigga comments. "They put my daughter in danger Mother. I can not let that stand." He states before leaving the room and going off to tuck his daughter in for the night.
Once he gets her to sleep he joins Loki along with The Warrior's Three and Lady Sif on the rainbow bridge and heads for the Bifrost. He has Heimdall send them off to Jotunheim where Thor confronts Laufey King Of The Frost Giants. A fight quickly breaks out resulting in Odin coming to stop it. He takes them all back home to Asgard, making The Warriors Three and Lady Sif leave them. Odin and Thor begin to argue and Loki stands off to the side watching everything unfold. "You are a boy, who made a stupid decision today. And if you didn't have a daughter to take care of your punishment would be worse. On this day you are hereby banished until you have learned from your mistake." He orders.
"Father, you can not do this, my daughter needs me." Thor begs. "You should have thought of her when you went to Jotenhiem and almost caused a war." Odin growls out. Thor is thrown back into the Bifrost and Odin brings Mjolnir up to his lips "Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor." He speaks while putting an oath on Mjolnir before throwing it into the Bifrost after Thor. He storms off back to the palace with Loki following after him. Upon entering the palace they already know Frigga knows what happened "You will be the one to tell our granddaughter how you banished her father when she wakes up in the morning." She commands before going off to her study.
"How are you going to explain this to Chalsea father? She is going to look at you with those innocent eyes of hers with tears and ask why her father isn't here and then what?" Loki questions him. "SILENCE!" Odin shouts at him. "What I tell Chalsea about her father will just be between me and her. No one else." He speaks with finality, "Mother should know about it." Loki argues. "ENOUGH!" Odin shouts again but this time it's too much and it causes him to collapse onto the steps of the throne. Loki calls for help and the guards rush in and take him to the healers. Once there they find that Odin has fallen into a deep sleep and they don't know when he will wake up. When morning comes Chalsea finds out about her father and breaks down in tears and runs off to her father's room where she stay's.
