Hello one and all. Welcome to an exciting new story set in the pocket universe in the Coexistenceverse. Something I have wanted to do for about at least a month now. It is a team work consisting of the 2003 live action version of Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon and the 80s cartoon Defenders of the Earth. It would make an interesting team work and I would be rather interested to see what would happen if those two teams would team up. It is set about a couple of months after the final episode of Defenders of the Earth and also set after the final act of the live action series.

When Worlds Collide

Chapter One. Prelude to a New Beginning

Destiny has a way of bringing unlikely heroes together in battle for the sake of the world. It all began about a year ago after the events with the Defenders of the Earth and their deal with the Necklace of Oros. Jedda Walker, one of the members of the Defenders of the Earth, and the sole female member of the team, almost died during the big event but was restored thanks to the queen of the underworld Hadea, who was banished to the Kingdom of Oblivion along with Graviton as they were both after the Necklace of Oros for their own purposes along with the Defenders of the Earth's greatest enemy: Ming the Merciless and eventually she realized that this power was too great for a mere mortal and decided to get rid of the powerful jewelry.

Jedda Walker walked to the lava at the underground base of the Defenders of the Earth's hideout at Monitor.

"Some powers are too great for the hands of man." she declared before throwing the Necklace of Oros into the lava.

What Jedda would not know was that when she threw the Necklace of Oros into the lava, she didn't completely destroy the necklace, not without it unleashing six orbs of energy into the air which would be sent all the way over to a town in Japan. It would also be the start of what would be the new adventures for not only the Defenders of the Earth but for six unique individuals as well.

Six orbs arrived at the town of Tokyo, Japan. Two orbs arrived at an apartment. Another arrived at another apartment. A fourth orb arrived at the local shrine. A fifth orb arrived near at a house and the final orb arrived near a concert hall.

Then without warning, the power went out all throughout the town. The complete darkness lasted for about five seconds before the power went back out.

The next day

"Authorities are dumbfounded about not finding out the cause of the power surge," the news reporter said on the television, "the power surge that lasted only five seconds. However, they are unable to investigate any further because there are no indicated suspected foul play at this time."

A young girl with blue hair held in pigtails with buns on the top wearing a purple top with a glittering silver tracing of a cat's face on the shirt with short ruffled sleeves on the sides on the shirt along with a long stringed necklace with a cat charm on the end and yellow ruffled skirt with a waistband with cat charms around the waist line and a blue tail sticking out from behind was watching the television with Ikuko Tskunio, her husband Kenji and her young son Shingo.

"What do you think of it, Mom?" Shingo asked.

"This is the strangest power surge that I have ever dealt with in my whole life." Ikuko answered, "I guess if there is no cause that they can find, then the best they can do is let it slide."

"I agree with your mother." Kenji added, "albeit this was the strangest black out that has ever existed. It will probably not happen again."

"I guess you are right." Shingo sighed roughly.

Then, there was a moment of sheer silence that filled the entire living room.

"What time is it?" Shingo asked, breaking the silence. Kenji looked at the watch, "Almost noon."

"Luna," Ikuko addressed the little girl/humanoid cat as she was looking at her phone, "Can you go wake up my daughter Usagi? She is going to be late for her date with Mamoru Chiba if she doesn't hurry."

"Of course, Mrs. Tskunio." Luna stood up from the arm chair, "I do not think Mamoru would like it if Usagi was to be late for the date. Nor would Usagi."

She walked down the hall to go wake up her friend/fellow Sailor Senshi and hurried to her room.

"Usagi!" Luna called, "Usagi! Are you awake?!"

The humanoid cat walked into the room to find a girl, who was in her teens, still asleep in her bed, covered in a blue blanket.

She rolled her eyes, "Of course not. Hello? World to Usagi Tskunio. Time to get up! Rise and shine!"

She removed the covers from the girl, exposing her to the cold air. Then Usagi rose up and demanded, "Hey! Luna, what was that for?!"

"You don't want to be late for your date with Mamoru don't you?" Luna asked in response.

"Is it today? Oh! It is today!" Usagi exclaimed in realization, "Oh man! I need to get going!"

She then proceeded to get ready for the date and to get dressed which took about an hour.

"Good." Usagi declared now fully dressed, "Now I am ready to go. I cannot wait for my date with Mamoru. I am sure he will be anxious to meet with me. I sure hope so. I know he will."

"Bye Mom! Bye Dad! Bye Shingo! Bye Luna!" Usagi called for her mother, brother and fellow Sailor Guardian, "See you later!"

"Have a wonderful date!" Ikuko called to her daughter while waving.

"A "thank you" would be nice!" Luna called as she waved along with Ikuko, Kenji and Shingo before the door closed as Usagi left the apartment.

Central City, New York

It was a normal day for the heroes known as the Defenders of the Earth. The young Defenders Richard "Rick" Gordon, Jedda Walker and Lothar Junior, LJ for short, attended Central City High School while the youngest member of the team Kshin attended the lower grade school, since he was younger than the rest of the young Defenders. What they would not know was that they were going to be having a brand new member of the team, someone that the team have yet to know, but was a part of the Gordon family line.

Rick, Jedda and LJ met up as school let out for the day and they walked outside the school. They met outside the hall.

"Hello Rick, LJ." Jedda greeted her friends.

"Jedda." Rick smiled at his friend/lover before glancing at his best friend, "LJ."

"Hello guys." LJ responded, also with a smile.

"How was last period for you guys?" Rick asked.

"As always." Jedda answered, "Rough."

"More rough than ever." LJ added, "but we are going through the final exams, prom and soon we will be graduating!"

"That is definitely something to look forward to." Rick declared.

"It could not be there soon enough." Jedda stated, "Granted, I have only been in school for a short time. I have done quite well for my time in school as I lived in the Bandar village my whole life."

"Hey," Rick added on, "I have been in space most of my life and I have done well in school too."

"Yeah." LJ nodded, "You are a straight A student in school. I'm sure you are going to be graduating with honors."

The three young Defenders were now outside the school, wondering about who the newest member of the team.

"So who do you think the new member might be?" Jedda asked.

"I'm not sure." Rick answered, "Dad didn't mention much about who this person was when he said he was going to bring in the newest member of the team today."

"Is it a he or a she?" LJ bluntly asked.

"I'm not sure of that either." Rick shook his head, "All Dad said that it was a family member of ours. He didn't get into details on who this person, the family member would be."

"I guess we will have to wait until we get back home." Jedda replied, "I am certain that this newest member of the team will be revealed to us soon enough."

"You're right about that." Rick nodded.

Author's Note: So this is the start of what is to be a quite to be an exciting project. Some elements in the Sailor Moon department will have elements from the anime as well but this is not, I repeat NOT a multi crossover. It is only a basic crossover where the main focus in the aforementioned apartment is mostly based on the 2003 live action series, just so I make things clear with you guys.

A/N 2: On the side for the Defenders of the Earth, I have set it a couple of months after the show's end for reasons that I was hoping to show the younger Defenders graduate during this series that I intend to write where Rick, LJ and Jedda go through the finals, their prom and eventually graduation.

A/N 3: I am fully aware that Sailor Moon and co were called Sailor Senshi in the 2003 series, but like I said before, there are some elements in the anime that will reside in this story and the series, most particularly the Viz dub, where Sailor Moon and co were called the Sailor Guardians. I liked how they were called that in that dub so that is why I went for it in my series. I am totally fond with the Viz dub and I prefer it over the DiC and Cloverway dubs that I grew up with in the 90s as the Viz dubs fixed pretty much everything that those two dubs in the 90s, early 2000s messed up on.
