CHAPTER 1 - The News

Shota Aizawa stood outside the door to Class 1-A, his usual bored expression on his face and a tan file under his arm. At the moment, he was trying to decide how to break the news to his class. Of course, he knew they would all be excited (except for Bakugo), but that wasn't exactly how he felt. Aizawa wasn't one for excitement, especially for this. What he had found out from Principal Nezu, who pulled him into his office to speak with him before he went to his class, was that U.A was doing a 'reach-out' of sorts. They were bringing in six new students into U.A, where they would go to Class 1-A. The new students were recommended and, to make matters even more interesting, they were American!

Aizawa didn't mind the fact that they were American, as he wasn't xenophobic, but he did mind the fact that he was going to have to look after six more students. If it wasn't bad enough having to deal with twenty other students in a dormitory, all of whom could sometimes be loud and rambunctious, the number was going to increase to twenty six! And, of course, there would be the culture clash; what if the Americans didn't mesh well with them? And then there was the press…

Shaking the thoughts from his mind, Aizawa sighed and went into Class 1-A. All of his students were seated at their desks, having been warned of his arrival by Class 1-A representative Tenya Iida. He also noticed that there were six empty desks, all mixed in with the students.

"Good morning, Mr. Aizawa!" All students said in unison.

"Morning, class…" Aizawa muttered, which was his usual way of greeting. He moved over to his desk, placed the file down on it, and said, "Before we begin, I have some important news from Principal Nezu himself. U.A is doing a special program where we have invited students from other countries to come and attend U.A, preferably Class 1-A."

The students murmured to themselves and each other about this situation, but quieted when Aizawa raised his hand. Aizawa continued and said, "Six new students, all recommended, are coming here to Class 1-A. And… they are American…"

Shocked noises and shocked looks came from the students of Class 1-A, followed by them all asking in unison, "Americans in Class 1-A?!"

"Yes." Aizawa replied. "There are going to be American students in Class 1-A. Now, I know that this is a shock to you all, considering how this might come as a culture clash. However, they are representatives of America, and we must act as if we are representatives from Japan. Any questions?"

Several hands shot up, and Aizawa pointed to Yaoyaorozu. She asked, "Will they be living in the dorms alongside us?"

"Yes." Aizawa replied. "They will be living in the dorms alongside all of you. Any other questions?"

Hands went up again, and Aizawa pointed to Mineta. He asked, "Will there be any pretty girls in this group?"

As soon as he asked that, an embarrassed look came onto the faces of most of the class, and some even facepalmed (mainly Jiro, who was constantly annoyed by Mineta's womanizing behavior). Aizawa, with a bored look on his face, replied, "I don't know; Principal Nezu gave me a file on the students, which I was going to read after we had this discussion. Any other questions?"

"What makes America so great that they can send students over here with the best?!" Bakugo asked angrily, causing everyone to jump a small bit.

"Bakugo, that behavior will not be tolerated while they are here." Aizawa replied, his vision centered on the hot-headed young man. "And to answer your question, Principal Nezu said that they are the best of the best. Which they have to be, if they want to get into this class."

Bakugo snarled and muttered angrily, "Doesn't matter if they're American or not; I can still beat them either way…"

Aizawa waited for Bakugo to quiet, and then said, "The students will be coming in the afternoon, during your hero class. They will probably be tired after all that traveling, so please do not bother them… too much. Now, if you're all done asking questions, take out your textbooks and read page two hundred on hero protection."

"We already read that." Kaminari spoke up.

Aizawa gave him a pointed look and then said, "Then read page one hundred twice, Kaminari…"

Defeated, Kaminari pulled out his textbook, while others did the same. As for Aizawa, he opened the tan file that Principal Nezu had given him. There were six papers in it, each with a picture of the chosen American student paper clipped to it. Aizawa took a look at the first one, and saw the first American student.

The first American student was a young man of sixteen years of age. He had short black hair, blue eyes, and somewhat pale skin. The look he had on his face was one of contempt, as if he was angry about something. Aizawa thought to himself that this kid would probably have a confrontation with Bakugo. He then looked at the paper and read the first student's profile:

Name: Joshua Graham

Gender: Male

Age: 16

Place of Birth: UNKNOWN

Nationality: American

Quirk: Assault - When angered, transforms into a feral and animalistic state. When transformed, has extreme strength, extreme agility, extreme ferocity, extreme durability, and a healing factor. Only drawback is that if in feral form for too long, can lose all sense of control.

After learning about Graham, Aizawa moved onto the next student's profile.

The next student practically screamed 'American' by his appearance. He was a lanky looking young man, also about sixteen years of age. He had blonde, somewhat long hair, a clean-cut face, tanned skin, and a smile with a tooth missing and a toothpick hanging out of his mouth. He also wore a white cowboy hat on his head. Aizawa, with a feeling that this kid was going to be trouble, looked at his profile:

Name: Murdock Jenkins

Gender: Male

Age: 16

Place of Birth: El Paso, Texas

Quirk: Elasticity - Can stretch limbs to incredible distances, and can shape shift body into different shapes and proportions. Only drawback is extreme cold, which can cause freezing and breaking if trying to use power in said weather.

Hero Name: ELASTIC HERO - STRETCH

The next student who came after Jenkins was a young lady, and she was about sixteen years of age. She was rather mystical looking; she had pure white hair and skin, which made it look like she was glowing. Her hair was long and shaggy looking, and it reached her shoulders. She also had golden eyes, and wore a black headband. Aizawa, interested by this mysterious looking person, looked at her profile:

Name: Sunshine DeMorris

Gender: Female

Age: 16

Place of Birth: Miami, Florida

Nationality: American

Quirk: Light Manipulation - Can manipulate light and shoot beams out from hands. Can also be used to glow in the dark, and can use it to blind opponents. Only drawback is using too much power can drain energy fast.

Hero Name: SHINING STAR

After DeMorris' profile came the next student, who was a young man and was sixteen years old. He had brown hair cut into a mid-fade haircut, blue eyes, and fair skin. He had a rather laid-back look on his face, almost like he didn't have a worry at all. Aizawa then looked at his profile:

Name: Milo Shiloh

Gender: Male

Age: 16

Place of Birth: Atlanta, Georgia

Nationality: American

Quirk: Slime - Can produce a thick slime from body, and has control over how soluble and how viscous it can be. Slime can be used for variety of different uses. Only drawback is that producing too much slime can drain energy fast.

Hero Name: SLIMY HERO - GUNK MAN

Hero License: YES

Reason for recommendation: Tested highly in both mental and physical examinations of American U.A Recommendation Exam.

After Shiloh's profile, the next student came. The student was a sixteen year old young man, and he had short, dark brown hair, brown eyes, and fair skin. He had a determined look on his face, almost similar to one that Midoriya would usually have while in combat. Aizawa wondered what kind of quirk did this kid have to give him such a determined look, and he began reading his profile:

Name: Matthew Wright

Gender: Male

Age: 16

Place of Birth: The Bronx, New York

Nationality: American

Quirk: Quirkless - NO QUIRK.

Aizawa paused for a second upon reading this; they were putting a kid who had no quirk into Class 1-A! Aizawa wondered how, in the great and mighty universe, did some kid who didn't have a power, was able to score a high recommendation! A little bit shocked (and somewhat curious), Aizawa continued reading:

Hero Name: RESCUE MAN

Hero License: YES

Reason for recommendation: Received the highest rescue points in physical examination of the American U.A Recommendation Exam - 168 Rescue Points.

So, that explained it; this was going to be interesting. Aizawa finished and then went to the final profile. The last, yet certainty not the least, student was a young lady, also sixteen. She had straight orange hair, fair skin, green eyes, and black reading glasses. Aizawa then began reading her profile:

Name: Annabelle Walters

Gender: Female

Age: 16

Place of Birth: Los Angeles, California

Quirk: Lift - Can lift objects and people with mental powers. Only drawback is if used too much, can cause massive headaches and nosebleeds.

Hero Name: Lift Hero - Uplift
Hero License: YES

Reason for recommendation: Tested highly in physical examination of American U.A Recommendation Exam.

Aizawa finished reading and closed the file. He did it just in time too; the bell rang and his class got up from their desks. They all went out of the room, some saying goodbye to Aizawa before leaving. Soon, it was just him, alone in the empty classroom, with only his thoughts.

His thoughts led him to the new students; they were interesting, to say the least. It was especially interesting that he was going to get a student who was quirkless! Still, if this quirkless person could still stop two train wrecks and save over two hundred and fifty people, he may have some potential. But something didn't feel right about the first student; it was almost like he was hiding something, but Aizawa didn't know what it was…

He then remembered; he need to go and pick up the new students, and then escort them to their dorm rooms at Heights Alliance. But first, there were two important tasks that he needed to do before he went to pick them up!

He needed to take a nap, and get some lunch…

Author's Notes: So, this is a rewrite of my MHA fanfiction "Anti-Hero, From Bad to Good!". The reason I am rewriting it is for several reasons such as character and story development, better understanding of the MHA story, and to restart the story and try again. However, I will still keep "Anti-Hero, From Bad to Good!" around. So, here we go again!
