Chapter 1 -- Love and Sacrifices

Konohagakure no sato- Hospital

"Wah~Waah~waaah!"

Cries of a babe just brought into the world sounds through the medical room.

"Congratulations lady Kushina" A young nurse says as she holds a small babe wrapped up in cloth up to the distraught mother known as Kushina. "Its a boy".

The woman known as Kushina was a beautiful woman. She was 5 foot 8, she has a curvy figure with DD-cup breasts, wide child bearing hips and a plumped yet tight bubbly rear. She was considered very beautiful among both the male and female populace; having a heart shaped face, long eyelashes, grey eyes, nice soft lips and her most distinct feature; her very long silky blood-red hair.

Being handed her baby and seeing him for the first time, the young 20 year old mother couldn't help but gush at how adorable her baby boy looked. The child had his eyes closed but that was to be expected. The young woman noticed that her babe had a small tuffle of blonde hair on top of his head like his father. Kushina squealed and softly cuddled her baby boy.

The young nurse watched the wife of her hokage and their child and smiled beautifully at the scene. Not wanting to interrupt her lady she quietly backed away towards the door, opening and closing it as softly as possible and headed towards the waiting room where the worried newly made father paced back and forth. As she gazed upon her hokage she quietly giggled at him for being so nervous.

The young hokage was tall; he stood at 6 feet 3, he was slim but fit, he wasn't overly muscular but he had a nice healthy build. He has blue eyes and shoulder length yellow-blonde hair that was spiked out in different directions with jaw-length bangs framing either side of his face. Minato was considered very handsome. His face was also narrow with none baby fat present whatsoever.

He wore his normal attire which consisted of a standard uniform with two bands on both of his sleeves, a green flak jacket, blue forehead protector, blue sandals and a short sleeved white haori over his normal clothes. The haori was decorated by red flame-like motifs on the edges with the kanji for fourth hokage written vertically down the back.

Before the young woman could speak and get her hokage's attention, it seems that he already sensed her and appeared in front of her in a flash of yellow.

"How is she!? Is the baby ok!? Is Kushina-chan alright?! Did both of them make it out of it ok?! Answer me woman, ANSWER ME?!" Yelled the worried hokage.

Again the nurse couldn't help herself and started to giggle in front of the man who was the leader of her village. Quickly composing herself before the blonde fire shadow of the leaf village she answered.

"Lord fourth please calm yourself, your wife and your newborn son are both healthy and fine and you are now welcome inside the medical room to see them both".

Given the ok by the woman the young hokage blitz towards the room his wife was in not waiting to be escorted.

With Kushina after the nurse left the room

"Oh Riku-Chan you're my precious baby boy" cooed Kushina towards the young babe named Riku.

At the mention of the given name to the young child as if he knew that was his name, the babe opened his eyes and coos back at his mother as his eyes sparkled.

Kushina was wide eyed and entranced by her son's eyes. Riku eyes were grey like hers but what was so entrancing about them was that every second or so a blue lightning bolt would spark to life between the child's iris overlapping itself clockwise before disappearing. So enthralled by this she didn't even acknowledge her husband when he came bursting through the door.

"Kushi-chan!" yelled Minato as he entered the room and appeared next to his wife. Seeing that she didn't respond, the spikey hair hokage looked towards what captured his wife's attentioned which happened to be their son's eyes which seemed to brighten as the babe noticed both of his parents were staring at him. The same blue lightning bolt flashed to life in the boy's eyes once again before it disappeared once more.

"Amazing isn't it Minato-kun," spoked Kushina, finally noticing her husband after staring into her son's eyes for a while.

"Yes it is Kushi-chan, to think the namikaze bloodline would be already active in this child at birth." Minto agreed with his beautiful red headed wife.

The family of three spent some time together, young Riku was cooing and smiling at his parents as they coddled and cooed him with physical affection and words of love. Before long both kushina and Riku fell prey to sleep. Minato tucked in his wife and kissed her on the forehead before he grabbed his sleeping son and held him close to his person.

"Riku I promise you that daddy's going to protect both you and your kaa-chan with his life" Promised the young fire shadow as he gazes out the room's window while holding his sleeping son close.

10 Years Later

It's been ten years and a lot has changed in the years that came. For one the village beloved Fourth Hokage and his wife have died during the night of the attack of the kyuubi no kitsune. Minato was hailed as a hero for defeating the nine tailed fox but it came with a price, a price that crippled not only the village but the emotional state and well being of his two son's; Riku and Naruto Uzumaki.

A/N: As you can see I'm not gonna go into detail of the night the kyuubi attacked at this point but you will see what happened that night in a flashback.

Despite what many may believe about the showdown between the fourth hokage and the kyuubi. Minato wasn't able to kill the beast, he simply sealed the fox inside a new born baby, a new born which happens to be his second son Naruto. The younger gen weren't told about this development on account of the third hokage retaking the seat of hokage and making a law that if anyone should speak upon the status of young naruto being the jinchuriki for the nine tails he or she shall be given the death sentence.

Sadly many of the adults scorn and shunned the uzumaki siblings and told their children to have no dealings with the two. Young Riku had to grow up too soon and take care of not only himself but his younger brother as well. Old Man third set it up so the young boys had an apartment for themselves and had three of his most trusted anbu agents check in on the boys. Though this didn't deter the shifty and crafty ways the wicked civil council had of harming the young children.

By this time the civil counsel in some way had gained a fair amount of power and one may say more than the old monkey himself. They would drown the age old hokage in paperwork distracting him from thinking about and hindering him from doing all that he can for the uzumaki boys. The assigned anbu's that were to check up on the two were mostly on missions because of an increased on demand of high ranked missions needing to be done.

On october 10th which is not only the day naruto was born but it was also a day of remembrance for the ones who lost family members and all of other things they lost the night of the kyuubi attack, the villagers had named this day the day of the fox hunt. They would hold a festival of the defeat of the kyuubi and then towards the end of the festivities they would hunt down the demon brat. Aiming to torture the little devil they would chase him down when he would scamper off alone but they wouldnt get far in their beating of the child because in order to protect his little brother riku has offered to take on all of their hatred and frustrations.

On the days of Naruto's birthday Riku would tuck in his little brother after they have spent the whole day somewhere away and hidden from others and then spending a whole day together just having fun with his little brother bringing a smile to his face. When nightime hit Riku would be subjugated to torture by the villagers but he took all of what they did to him without giving them the satisfaction of hearing him begged for mercy and screaming out in pain, his face would simply have a stoic visage as he took in the blows, the burns of his skin due to jutsus being used on his unshielded back, stabbed wounds, skin peeling, bones being broken among other things.

He has become numb and his very being has become hollow to the world…

Red Light District

Inside an apartment on the far end of the red light District we find a young blonde boy who looks to be ten years old with laid back back-length slightly spiky blond hair with jaw length bangs on either side of his face like his father shaping his face that still has a little baby fat handsomely. He was tall for his young age and he was slim yet muscular, more so than he should be at his age but strangely it just made him more appealing to younger and older women. His grey eyes glowed in the darken kitchen he's in as he washes the dishes from the meal he prepared for his younger brother and himself.

If one were to look closely then one would have noticed the many scars that housed his defined body. He had scars all down his back and the back of his legs and many on the frontside of his body. On the right side of his face he had two slash like scars going from his right eyebrow down to his chin. He even had a scar that started from the left side of his neck stopping at his earlobe that traveled all the way down to his abs. Though no matter how many scars he collects he will let nothing break his integrity and his desire to protect his brother and always keep him smiling and forget about those dark days the young boy lived through.

He learned many things he needed to learn in order to care for the brother he loves more than anything. He learned to cook from many women who didn't hold any contempt for either him or naruto. He learned how to wash and clean dishes,clothes and the house. He read books on gardening and started a little garden in his house. It was hard to buy food to eat since store owners jacked up the prices for him and his brother. No one would sell edible food to the demon brat or his demon loving brother. So Riku would hunt for food in the woods or even the edible animals,creatures and plants in the forest of death. He was given the okay by the hokage to venture there because he was one of the youngest yet strongest shinobi of his generation.

Riku also learned how to knit and do crochet so that he was able to make his own clothing for himself and naruto since like with the restaurant owners in the village they too would hike up there prices or wouldn't sell to him at all. Riku though would use henged sometimes to get clothing he liked that were of high quality or material than the ones he makes. Riku have to manage his money well because even though he was the son of the fourth hokage and the last known uzumaki alive all the money his parents made were destroyed in the kyuubi attack and the money his parents place in the bank were stole by the greedy civilian council.

A/N: No one knows about Riku's and Naruto's heritage just to let you fools know XD i only mentioned because i talked about riku getting the money that his father and mother saved in the bank that the civil council stole and used.

The torturing and hunting of the villagers stopped when Riku turned eight as the hokage got wind of what was going. He executed many of those that were involved making an example outta of them. So for two years the two brothers have been doing much better. The hokage even checks up on the two more often, he makes sure that he visited the two brothers at the beginning and end of each week. Naruto is always happy to see his jiji and seeing naruto happy always puts a smile on riku's face.

Now finished with the dishes Riku walks into his brother's room which is right across from his room. Naruto's room is filled with toys and other things of his liking that his brother and his jiji and the few that care about him got him. Riku pulls up a chair beside his brother's bed and rubs his spikey hair and it seems to make the child smile dreamily.

"Ri-niisan, I love you" whispers the young blonde as he dreams on.

Upon hearing this Riku smiled a true smile, a smile only shown to those he loves and truly trusts.

"I love you too Ototo" says Riku as he gets up and places the chair back to its proper place and as he approaches the door he stops half way through before looking back at his brother. "I will always be here to protect and help you naruto" Riku now closes the door and heads to his room as he gets to his room and takes off his shirt, brushes his teeth for two minutes and then he lays down for bed.

Laying in bed he looks up at the ceiling with his hands crossed behind his head. His hollow gray eyes shine in the dark as he thinks.

'I wonder what Itachi would be up to tomorrow? Maybe I could bring along Naruto to meet little sasuke so they can become friends. Naruto needs at least one friend to play with.' his last thoughts were how great of friends both his and Itachi's little brother would be.

And there yah have it peeps ;) tell meh whatcha think. No Flame throwers. All i need is constructive feedback, nothing more nun less fam. I also know not much has started in my first chapter but i wanted to set the scene of a lil bit of what Riku had to go through while raising naruto. More of their harsh treatment will be further revealed and it was gonna be dark but I decided to lighten it up XD I couldn't go through with it with this story so I sweeten it up because no one likes to see children going through things that they shouldn't be going through.

Something I wanted to say tho was that a lot of his memories of what he went through for naruto's safety will be shown in flashbacks at the start of the chapters.

Also for the pairing, I'm thinking about one of these gurls.

Sooo yeah these are the gurls I am going to choose from just haven't thought about who yet. I would ask for my readers' thoughts on the pairing buuuut it seems to always fall on deaf ears so ima figure it out who will be paired up with Riku.
