Remember Me

"'Percy. Percy! Wake up!' He blinked his eyes blearily. 'Do I… know you?'" If only she had known what would happen next, she never would have let him go. *Full summary inside*

After Percy, Annabeth's best friend for three years as well as the love of her life - but he doesn't know it - falls into the ocean and loses his memories, Annabeth sees this as a chance to start over. To erase the years of him dating Rachel (even though Annabeth helped them get together - because what else could she do?), erase the 2 months of fighting, and maybe… maybe he'll love me.

Hope you guys like this! It's somewhat similar to ACOCP - well, not really. But it's a mortal AU, which I tend to write a lot of. Because it's semi-relatable. Right? Or not right? Or potato?

Also, ideas desperately needed for LLaP. I mean, seriously. Otherwise you will ALL just have to suffer only getting stories on holidays. Help me out here.

Hugs and kisses~!

Prologue

OoOoOoOoO

Annabeth gazed at Percy - her best friend for 3 years - as he lounged on the sand. The sun shone down brightly on both of them - a blessing before school started again. There are probably tons of grains of sand on his back, she mused. Must be uncomfortable.

"Whatcha thinkin' 'bout, Annie?" he said. "You've got that look on your face when you're really thinking about something."

"Nothing." she gave a noncommittal shrug. "Just wondering if it's uncomfortable, lying on all that sand."

He smirked at her. "Worried about me, huh? Well, don't worry, Wise Girl, I've felt worse." he winked.

She slapped him lightly on the shoulder. "No, Seaweed Brain, just wondering if it's comfortable enough for me to lie down." she frowned slightly. "I told you we should have brought towels."

Percy grinned. "Nah, Anniebell. No towels. Just you, me, and the beach. Embrace the sand…" he threw some sand at her. "Embrace the sanddddddddddd…"

"Percy!" she gasped in mock indignation. "Jackson! How dare you!" she grabbed a fistful of sand, herself. "Why, you little-"

He rubbed some sand in her hair before she could finish her sentence. "Not so little, Anniebell. I'm taller than you~"

"Urgh!" she growled and proceeded to throw more sand at him. "Butt."

"Mine is rather beautiful," he nodded. "I'm glad you've noticed." he winked.

Annabeth blushed furiously. "I don't look at your butt." she argued hotly. "I was just saying that you're… that you're…"

"Your best friend forever and ever and you'll love me no matter what?"

"No!" she threw more sand at him. "Just shut up."

He gave a comically low bow. "As you wish, Your Majesty. And with that, might I offer you a cup of nice, cold - oh, wait, I'm not supposed to be talking to you." he smirked infuriatingly.

"Nice cold what? Ugh, fine, Percy. Whatever. You can talk now. Happy?" she grumbled.

"Never been happier," he teased. "So… lemonade and cookies?"

"Absolutely." she grabbed one and took a small bite out of it. "You know, you're my best friend, Percy."

"Forever and ever?"

She sighed. "Yes. Forever and ever."

OoOoOoOoO

Okay, so, to clarify, this chapter is just an intro to show how happy and… chill everything was at first. Obviously, cuz this is a prologue.

Of course, things will happen later. And it will be horrible, and it will hurt to write, but I will try to upload maybe… once a week? Like, on weekends? Can you guys live with that?

Also, quick question: would you rather me reply to your comments in story (like, before or after the actual 'story' thing), reply to your inbox (PM you with a response), or just not reply at all? I'm asking cuz I feel like if u guys want recognition for being FABULOUS, then you should totally have it!

Just… tell me in the comments, because I don't know how to set up a poll yet. But I'll figure it out. Eventually. And if you have a personal preference and it isn't just a vote, then I'll try to do that for you.

I don't know. Was that cheesy? Lol. Please no hate comments, only constructive criticism, I don't own Percy Jackson, etc., etc. honestly, it's probably gonna be boring for a good 2-3 more chapters. Maybe not. But just… keep reading, please. It'll get better, I promise.

Well.

Either it'll get better, or I'll get bored and quit. Hopefully not.
