Lunala floated forward, shifting uneasily. Beside her stood her mate, Solgaleo, looking apprehensive. They looked at the massive tower that stood in front of them, a pillar that controlled the flow of time.
They had been called, all of the gods have been called here.
The message was urgent, Arceus sounded afraid, her creator sounded afraid. The last time he sounded like this was when some massive world-ending threat had been terrorizing the world, and like heck did she want that to happen again!
She could feel the presence of the other gods, looks like they were the last of the bunch to come. With a flap of her mighty wings she jolted into the air, her mate trailing behind her. They flew to the top of the tower, where the others awaited.
"Took you long enough," Groudon commented with a huff, Lunala winced from the sharpness in his voice. It didn't help how on edge she was. Arceus cleared his throat and started the meeting.
"Greetings, fellow gods, thank you for taking the time to come here. Now I have called you here because I have detected a strange presence." A strange presence? She hadn't felt anything, and judging from the expressions of the other gods they hadn't either.
"It has done a very good job at masking itself, it has taken the my full psychic power to detect it. The presence it's self was attempting to take control over the timeline, but was thwarted by me and Dialga." Lunala jolted in alarm, and the other gods looked around uneasily. Someone wanting to take control over time? That could plunge the world into eternal darkness!
"We've investigated the anomaly, and it appears to be human in nature." Human? That's odd. Humans didn't know this world existed, and the ones that did couldn't tell anyone…Dialga's veins glowed a light blue and he grunted in pain.
"Dialga! Brother are you alright!?" Giratina asked, the temporal Pokemon warily opened his eyes.
"Someone is attempting to breach the barrier around the hidden land!" The sky glowed with light blue hexagons, there was crack forming on the top hexagons. An odd black liquid leaked through the ever-growing cracks.
The hexagons all shattered into a million pieces, scattering like glass. A black beam shot from the sky, leaving a human that wore a striped shirt after it dissipated. "How, interesting. You must be the gods." Lunala stood there, absolutely terrified. This thing looked human, but it felt like something else entirely.
Zygrade stood up, his humanoid giant body towered over the little child, who wasn't even the slightest bit intimidated. "Who are you!?" He boomed. "What purpose do you have here?!" The thing chuckled.
"I wish for total control over the timeline." Lunala's eyes bulged in her spectral head, it wanted to control time! Dialga glared at the thing, glowing with temporal energy.
"I'm afraid I can't allow that." The thing looked genuinely disappointed before bringing out the scariest smile she had ever seen. One that made her body shiver in fear.
"Such a shame." The thing disappeared, Lunala sucked in a breath and darted her eyes around to find the thing. But it wasn't here, had it left?
"Ack-!" Blood poured from Latios's body, dripping from the blade that was plunged in and through his chest. A red glow surrounded his body and then it dropped to the floor, a grey husk.
Latias watched on in horror, her brother had just been slaughtered without the slightest bit of mercy. Rayquaza let out an enraged roar, a yellow beam of energy formed in his maw, the thing's smile became wider. Latias felt an invisible hand drag her in front of the thing, just in time to be hit full force by a hyper beam. The ray burned her feather off, pierced her skin, and when it was over, a blade penetrated her spine, ending her misery.
Her body turned colourless and it dropped to the floor as well, the thing vanished and reappeared behind Yveltal, who was too caught off guard to notice, and sliced his body in two. He let out a shriek of pain before collapsing to the floor.
It plunged it's knife into Yveltal, draining the colour from the corpse in a flash of red. It's eyes became black with a scarlet red glow. It slammed the knife into the ground, Lunala and the legendaries that could fly jumped into the air, flying far away as possible from the tower.
A blinding flash of blood-red sent cracks down temporal tower, Dialga momentarily stopped, his veins glowed a violent, unnatural lava orange, his gem flickered between orange and blue and his eyes pulsed red. He shortly returned to normal and gasped for air.
On top of temporal tower, none were left, only the thing and it's wide smile. Lunala felt her body go cold, shiver uncontrollably. Those were people she knew, and now they were gone, lives ended, nobody even had the chance to say goodbye...
Mega Rayquaza roared with unheard-of fury, a green light encompassed his body and he dived at the thing, his blazing eyes meet a cold, wide smile. It stabbed it's knife into the dragons head, vaporizing him into green energy that flowed into the knife and into the rest of the body, it ginned. Areoblast and Sacred Fire along with a torrent of fire, a beam of ice and a bolt of lightning raced at it. It grinned and raised it's knife a beam of blood-red energy shoot out of it.
That's Oblivion Wing! Lunala realized, Yveltal's signature attack was being used against them, it easily pushed back the attacks from the legendary birds and the trio masters. The beam raced towards them, and enveloped them in a red light, they dropped out the air, stone bodies falling into nothingness…
Lunala shivered uncontrollably, what on earth was she fighting? What was this thing, how could it smile after killing so many people? She let out a breath and conjured up a shadow ball, and shot it at her foe. It merely grinned and sliced the ball of energy in half, Lunala eye's widened as it put it's gaze on her, but before it could act, a Spacial Rend was sent towards it, it widened it's grin and blasted it. However, the blast of energy was pushed back by the slice of spacial energy. It sliced through the beam and exploded when it made contact the thing.
Lunala felt her heart soar in the air, and she let out a relieved sigh. Reshiram and Zekrom stepped on Temporal Tower, however a slash of blood-red energy came flying out of the smoke, Reshiram barely dodged the fatal blow.
Her tail lit up with flames, sending embers into her surroundings. A large ball of fire formed in Reshiram's jaws as she flew in the air, she blasted it at the thing. A black flash raced out from the smoke and landed on the tower, the dodging the ball of flame. Temporal tower shook, more cracks formed. Dialga stiffened as his veins and gem flickered between blue and orange and his eyes flashed red. It looked at him at grinned even wider.
It ran in circles around temporal tower, dodging bolts of lightning and torrents fire as well as the occasional spacial rend. The tower shook, even more, cracks formed and widened, and some chunks of the tower fell right off. Lunala looked on in horror, if they kept this up. The whole tower would fall to the ground! And then...She looked Dialga, who was flashing between his normal and primal form, trying desperately to not lose control.
Shrieks of surprise made her jolt and look back at the battlefield, she noticed two things. The first is that Reshiram and Zekrom were gone, and their place was the black and white stones, and the second was the thing, grinning widely at them.
Palkia let out a shriek of rage slashed another Spacial Rend at the tower, it effortlessly sidestepped, and the slash of spacial energy hit the tower, causing even more chunks to fall right off. Enraged, Palkia flew at it, it grinned even wider and blasted another Oblivion Wing from it's knife. Palkia made a swift Spacial Rend to counter the fatal beam of energy, The slash of spacial energy collided with the beam of oblivion and sliced through it like butter. The thing still grinned, grinned as the attack burnt it into nothingness.
An eerie silence fell throughout the hidden land, Lunala hesitantly floated closer. There was no sign of it, it hadn't somehow come back. Was it over…?
"RAAAAAAAAGGHHHHHH!" Palkia screamed in pain as his gems crackled with red energy, as did his veins. A flash of red light, Palkia, was no more. And the thing kept grinning.
Lunala squeaked in fear, and flew back with a flap of mighty wings. 'Guys,' Mewtwo's telepathic urged in her head, 'we need to stop attacking it one at a time and start launching a group attack.' Mega Mewtwo Y grabbed the thing in his firm psychic hold.
Lunala launched herself in the air with a beat of her massive wings and entered her full moon phase, her body glowed light blue with as the energy built up within her, the energy was concentrated in various parts of her wings, creating blue small blue spheres that were in a circle formation on her wings. Her third eye opened, and she concentrated the energy, the spheres formed a spiral that finished at her forehead. A blinding light blue the size of Lunala came crashing down upon the thing, combined with Sunsteel Strike, Roar Of Time, Judgement and Core enforcer.
The multicoloured beam bashed into the thing, but it didn't even scream. A Shadow Force portal opened it's self and Giratina came swooping up, smashing into it with all of his might. It floated in the air and grinned, black tendrils came from thin air and ensnared Mewtwo, bolts of lightning were created in the tendrils and bolted down to Mewtwo, zapping him to the point where he couldn't sustain his mega form. He weakly huffed a breath from his prison, glaring at the smiling thing.
Zygrade charged at the thing, only to be ensnared by tendrils as well. They wrapped around him, severing the connection from the cores to the cells. Rendering him powerless.
Lunala nervously gulped, before noticing Solgaleo charge at the thing. Her widened and she chased after him. "Sol! Wait up! Please!" They were both struck to the ground by lightning. Lunala groaned in pain, weakly eyeing the thing that approached her. "So, he's your mate?"
Lunala froze, and eerie chill was in the air and she could feel something crawling on her back. She gulped and answered. "Yeah...he is. What does this have to do with anything."She tried to sound mad, but ended sounding pathetic.
The thing started giggling, Lunala stared at it, eyes wide with fear. She looked at Arceus and Dialga, but they were wary, apprehensive. Afraid of damaging temporal tower. She was on her own.
The thing's giggling became louder, louder and louder before becoming into full-blown laughter. Lunala felt chills go up and down her back, she weakly tried backing up. "Ahhhh, that's hilarious! Y'know, here's some advice." It leaned closer to Lunala's forehead, "Never. Love. Anyone. You never know when they'll stab your back~!" Lunala froze up completely, the pin-drop silence filled the atmosphere.
Suddenly, A Shadow Force portal opened and Giratina came flying out, smashing the thing away. It looked up and grinned at the ghost legendary. They both charged at each other, It clung on to Giratina's before plunging it's blade into the Pokemon's head. A blinding red light flashed, and Giratina was gone. It was all that remained, and it grinned. It looked at Arceus and Arceus glared back, all of the elemental plates appeared and spun around in a circle going faster and faster. Arceus surrounded himself in a yellow glow and the thing responded by surrounding it's self in a red glow.
The two collided with each other, before a flash of red overtook them both. And in the aftermath, it stood, triumphant. Every remaining legend watched on in shock, disbelief, fear, horror. It merely grinned and vanished.
It appeared on temporal tower and plunged it's blade into the floor. Red cracks appeared on the tower, violent embers spark out from within the cracks as they grow wider, wider yet wider. Dialga watches on, eyes wide, full of fear. The entire tower is bathed in a violent, red glow. It crackled with red sparks of lightning, Lunala dragged her mate away from the tower, but she couldn't look away. No one could look away.
A flash of red light, and the tower's gone. Nothing remains of it, just blank, empty space, and the thing. It smiled. An aura of menace took hold over the Lunala, tears leaked from her eyes. It was over. Dialga was normal one second and the next his veins and chest gem flashed a lava orange, his eyes flashed red. He let out a mighty roar, a roar that shook everyone to their very core. It floated towards him, grinning like a mad person.
A pillar of blue energy erupted from where the tower once stood, shooting towards the skies. Blue waves are unleashed by it, they travel across the entire world, and when they're gone. The wind stopped, the ocean stopped. The planet stopped moving, as it was in paralysis.
Dialga let out a feral roar and charged at the thing, and the thing it was charging it merely outstretched it's hand, a red glow surrounded Dialga. "From now on, Lord Of Time, your will shall be gone, your mind will be dormant, you will listen and serve me for the rest of your days!" The thing's voice boomed throughout the hidden land, bouncing back as an echo. Dialga's veins and gem turned from orange to a scarlet red.
He approached the thing, and kneeled, Lunala gasped and the others couldn't mask their shock, their horror. It reached out and gently patted Primal Dialga's head. He let out a soft growl, and closed his eyes in enjoyment.
It turned it's gaze onto Lunala, ensnaring her wings in black tendrils. She tried ripping free, but she couldn't even move her wings, she was helpless. Her tearful gaze met it's cruel grin, it giggled as it viewed her expression.
"S-stay away from us," she pleaded, her voice quivers, her body shakes. The figure scoffs at her, pointing it's blade at her neck. She stiffens as silence falls over the two, the only sound she can hear is her own breathing.
"My goodness, you really are a coward." The figure says, it's tone mirroring disappointment. "Couldn't even fight to save the others! And now they're DEAD. And it's all because you were two afraid to fight back." Tears leak from Lunala's eyes, she tries to glare, but she had no defiance left.
She dragged the unconscious lion next to Primal Dialga, tendrils wrapped around him. She turned her gaze to the two legends in the sky. "W-what are you gonna do with us?" Lunala asks. It giggles again, the unsettling laughter sent chills down the her back.
"Watch." The tendrils that had Zygrade started producing a red glow that covered his body, red electricity crackled in Zygrade's cells, and the cells on his body turned white, one by one. "Guardian Of The Ecosystem, your will belongs to me! Enforce my new orders across the seas!" Zygrade's eyes and the colour's on his chest turn blood red, the tendrils unwrapped and he floated down and kneeled to his new master. It turned around to face her.
"What do you think? I like the rhyme I put into my little spiel!" Lunala didn't have the strength to muster up any words, she just looked at Zygrade as if she's seen a ghost. It chuckled, "next!"
It faced Mewtwo, who glared back. The tendrils that held him captive formed a pitch-black round ball that imprisoned the psychic master, it started to glow a white colour and a red heart formed in it's centre. "Master Psychic, your will is no longer your own. Now come, help me take the throne!" A crack formed in the heart and it shattered as the ball turned to mist, revealing a version of Mewtwo that was pitch black, save for the red gems coming out of his shouldered and wrists.
Lunala watched on, unable to move, to do anything. It looked at her before turning it's sights onto her mate. Her eyes widened and she once again tried breaking free. "N-no! Not him! Please! Take me instead!" She was silenced as Zygrade stepped on her back causing her to yelp with pain.
Solgaleo slowly stirred awake, blinking his spectral eyes. "W-what happened?" The thing summoned a multicoloured prism and shoved it into the loin's spectral head, it slid through like a knife slicing through butter. His eyes widened and he let out a roar pain. Lunala cried out in fear.
"AGGGGHHHH!"
"Sol! No! Stop this please!"
Lunala pleas were went unheard as the tendrils unwrapped the steel loin has he violently thrashed around screaming in pain, black crystals started forming on his body, it covered his face like a mask, sprouted two new arms, and armoured the rest of his body. His screams grew in volume.
"Lunala! Help Me! Please! Help! It hurts so much!" Fresh tears leaked from the bats eyes, she tried so desperately to break free, to do something. But she didn't have anything left. She could only watch helplessly as her mate violently thrashed around in pain.
"Help! Lunala! Why aren't you doing anything!? Why are you leaving me like this!? Why!? We are mates! Does that mean nothing to you!?" She found herself unable to come up with any response, the accusation stabbed her in the heart, left her unable to come up with any response.
Something violently bashed against her head, cracks formed on it, she felt herself get flung to the side. She weakly looked up to see the glaring form of her mate, she tried to get up, but couldn't. She was too weak.
A claw struck her head again, and again, and again, and again. She screamed out in pain. "S-Sol! Stop it! You're hurting me!" A violent stomp on her sensitive wings caused her to yelp, tears leaked from her eyes.
"Oh, am I? My sincerest apologies," he sneered at the bat, "I just thought it would only be fair you go through the pain I had to when you just sat there and did nothing! Was that little show fun by the way?" Lunala looked at her mate, horrified.
"W-what!? No way! I was restrained! I was-!" she was cut off by her own scream as Solgaleo dug his claws deeper into her astral wings.
"You're a legendary Pokemon, a being whose power is so great that is said that it can't be comprehended. And yet here you are, at my mercy." Solgaleo dug his claws deeper, causing her to scream again. Pained tears leaked from her eyes. "Why did I ever chose you as my mate?"
That remark hurt, Lunala felt her heart shatter, her breathing became sporadic. Tears leaked ever faster from her eyes. She was at the edge of her bravery, she wanted to curl up and scream at how unfair this was. But she couldn't
Her life would end here, in a world where everyone she ever knew and loved was dead. And her own mate was corrupted, tortured and now was ready to end her miserable existence. She closed her eyes, tears floating from them. She awaited the inevitable.
BOOM!
A giant, greyish-blue skull floated in front of her, purple eyes glowing as it unleashed a torrent of purple energy at Solgaleo, who was promptly knocked back.
It dissipated on the spot, before Lunala could figure out what was going on, she started falling. Falling into an endless abyss of darkness, a place devoid of all life.
Can you hear me? I don't if you can hear me.
An odd tingling sensation was building up in her wings, a soft purple glow spread throughout her wings, the tingling increased.
I'm going to get you to safety, but at a cost.
The glow spread to the rest of her body, it started to tingle as well. The cracks on her forehead glowed, as an odd chill manifested in her head, nullifying the pain.
You memories and original form will be locked.
A sharp pain entered her head causing her to wince, her body started to feel less and less solid, like it was melting.
You'll be sent to a different world, in a different body.
Lunala's body was enveloped a brilliant purple light, and when the light faded, Lunala was no more. In her place, was a small girl with pale skin, black hair, and a blue jacket and pants.
And when the time is right, I'll come find you.
She fell, and fell and fell, and fell. Until something broke her fall, a field of golden flowers. From the corner of her tired eyes she could make out a figure that was sleeping on the flower bed...her eyelids closed and she fell into a dreamless sleep…
