My take on what could have happened.

What if Charlotte suffers from a curious heart condition where the disease's symptoms are exacerbated by the heartache of Sidney's engagement to Eliza? Will they get their happy ending?

What if Miss Georgiana Lambe had not been kidnapped during the cricket game but had instead escaped Sanditon with Mr Otis Molyneux? This story follows Charlotte and Sidney's efforts to find/save Miss Lambe and perhaps find their true feelings along the way too.

Realizing too little too late, Eliza Campion heads toward her second loveless marriage with head held high and no illusions of more. Managing her soon to be husband's broken heart, her own budding desire to be cherished and rebuilding the lives of an entire town may be a tall order though. Rated M for later chapters. The events that follow Charlotte's departure from Sanditon.

The story picks up where the first season ended. Broken hearted, Charlotte and Sidney part ways. However, a month into their separation, Mary Parker takes ill. Charlotte comes back to Sanditon to care of the children. Sidney, wanting to help his brother, and escape the wedding plans for the unnecessarily large wedding, returns as well. They are forced into awkward civility, while

Sanditon season 1 ended horribly. With no guarantee of a second season, I have to give Charlotte and Sidney a happy ending. This is my attempt at a season 2. Hopefully we will get a second season.

Sidney had thought he'd never see Charlotte again. Wrong, he'd been wrong over and over but he could hardly rejoice in the circumstances. And yet... Title is from Chilean poet Roberto Bolano.

Like so many others, I was left unsatisfied with the ending of Sanditon. Since a second season doesn't look like it will happen anytime soon, I've decided to try and tie up loose ends and give the characters (and us) some closure.
